Susan Eloise Hinton was born on July 22,1950 in Tulsa Oklahoma. In her early childhood she Also had dreams of becoming a cattle rancher. As she got older she realized cattle ranchin Wasn't for her so hinton took up wanting to be a reader and writer. Shortly after that while she was a junior in high school her father Grady P. Hinton was diagnosed with cancer during that time S.E hinton finished the book The Outsiders.       The book was about two gangs the two gangs were separated by social groups. The lower middle class the greasers and the upper class the socs. When the book was first published people thought it was to rebelios. But as time passed it became a very well known and loved novel. Also she met her life partner David Inhofe and married him in 1970. And in 1983 she had a child Nicholas David Inhofe. After coming out of the writers block she came out with a new book that was then this is now in 1971. It was a story of two brothers that had their differences and these differences split them apart. Then in 1975 she came out with a book called rumble fish. Rumble fish is about a man that grew up in gang wars and tried to be something he's not and lost everything. Shortly after in 1979 tex came out it's about two brothers living with a crazy family trying to survive through all of it. Nine years later in 1988 taming the running star came out.       Many of her books were turned into films 1983 outsiders and rumble fish were directed by Francis Ford Coppola. After that her films rumble fish and that was then this is now where hits.        Hinton also made adult books that include hawkes harbor in 2004 and some of Tim's stories in 2006. There is not any more information on hinton's personal life because she has not made it public. But her love for reading and writing was released by herself.
