The Thunder has been my favorite team since 2011. I loved the way they played on the court and put in hard work and dedication to the game. They made it all the way to the Finals in 2012, a great achievement for a team so young and of course they still have plenty of room to grow. One way they can make their team play better is to up their ball movement; in 2011 they were dead last in the league in assists, a lot of one-on-one basketball being played. Right now in 2016 though, they are a top tier team, ranking the 4th seed in the Western Conference, arguably the strongest out of the two conferences.
Before there was the Oklahoma City Thunder, there was the Seattle Supersonics. There’s a fact for you! The Seattle Supersonics was founded in 1967. They were active from 1967-2008. The Supersonics have one title under their belt; they won a championship in 1979 led by Hall of Famer Dennis “DJ” Johnson and Gus Williams. They defeated the Washington Bullets 4 games to 1.

The 90s was an era for the Supersonics that must not go unnoticed.
They had a top caliber point guard in Gary Payton, nicknamed “The Glove” for his uncanny ability to steal from an opponent team’s best player. They also had a very popular All-Star power forward in Shawn Kemp, known for his amazing athletic ability and highlight material reel dunks. During this time they were also paired up with Hall of Famer Nate McMillan and Eddie Johnson. They set a franchise record for most wins in a season with 64. This record has yet to be broken by the current Oklahoma City Thunder team, but I do think this record will not last anytime
longer. The Oklahoma City Thunder are now ran by arguably the best point guard-power forward duo in the NBA in Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant. When Durant first entered the league, the team was still located in Seattle, which was in 2007. Westbrook, however, entered the league in 2008, the team’s inaugural season in Oklahoma City. During the first 3 seasons of Durant and Westbrook’s reign, they were accompanied by shooting guard, James Harden. Harden wasn’t a starter during his time with the Thunder but, he was an important asset to the team. This Oklahoma City team made it all the way to the Finals in 2012, were they were defeated by the Heat, who were led by the NBA dominating trio Lebron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. The Thunder were defeated 4 games to 1. After that, the Thunder traded away, soon to be superstar, James Harden to the Houston Rockets for Kevin Martin, who could never really fill in the void that Harden left. After that, Kevin Durant won the MVP award for his outstanding play and leading his team to the playoffs with his star point guard, Russell Westbrook. The Thunder failed to make it to the playoffs in 2015 because of the injury due to their star small forward, Kevin Durant. The next year, was a very different story. The Thunder had a healthy Durant and Westbrook, along with their premial power forward, Serge Ibaka, nicknamed “Iblaka” because of his amazing talent to block the basketball from opponents. This Oklahoma City Thunder squad are placed 4th in the West and are now locked in a tight series with Kawhi Leonard and the San Antonio Spurs. The series is tied two games apiece and the Thunder are hoping to pull it out, hopefully to take on 2x MVP Stephen Curry and the 2014-15 NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors. The Thunder will be huge underdogs because the Warriors are ranked 1st in the West and also beat the 1992-93 Chicago Bulls record for most wins in a season, going 73-9. Best of luck to Durant, Westbrook, and the Thunder.
People. The Trail Blazers are about diversity. Having a diverse and culturally different background of consumers, which helps build a product that has many voices and ideas.
Most don’t understand that Russ probably HAS to put up triple doubles for them to have a chance to win every night. Just imagine where the Thunder would be without Russell Westbrook. I get it, Stephen Curry is still one of the best players in the league.

He was also selected to be an NBA all-star as he averaged 30 to 40 points per game. While when it came to Michael’s second year in the NBA he broke his foot early in the season and was forced to sit out. While having his year off from the game, he decided to go back to school to finish his final year of college. His 3rd year wasn’t all so great either as the Bulls had another losing season, but they still made it to the playoffs. Michael would also score 63 points to set an NBA playoffs record. As the 1989 season approached the Bulls had plenty of players to help Michael on the court. The Bulls would lose in the second round of the playoffs, though to an eastern powerhouse in the Detroit Pistons. As for the next three seasons, the Bulls would lose to the Pistons in the playoffs. The pistons had a great plan to keep Michael from being a terror on the court by something called the “Jordan Rules.” The Jordan Rules invented by the Pistons meant to rough him up or play him tough. Michael was pushed around by the Pistons because he wasn’t very hefty. While in the 1991 and 92 season the Bulls blew by the league not even the Pistons could stop them as the Bulls would go back to back beating the Suns and the Trail Blazers. While in between the two seasons Michael and many other star NBA players took place in the 1992 Olympics the team later became known as the NBA Dream Team. There was no chance of anyone
He then won another Championship beating the Sonics as his 4th. He also was the star in the movie Space Jam. The next year he scored an average of 30.4 points per game with 72-82 record that season and won his 5th championship against Utah Jazz. He again won the same as the following year 1997-1998 winning again to make his 6th and final championship. He then joined the Washington wizards. Then, he retired from basketball (Biography.com Editors.).
The best recruiting class in NCAA history came in and changed the game. Before they came to college, players still wore short shorts and the only people caught wearing black socks on a basketball court were 60-year olds trying to be young again. They changed the game with their great basketball skills, and their swagger. The road to greatness wasn't very easy for some though; they lived a tough life, and used that as motivation to drive them to greatness. They were are Michigan's Fab Five.
When you think of the Chicago Bulls today or even professional basketball you can not help but think of the 90's era Bulls. Success has embraced this team both on the court and off the court. The 90's Bulls touched more than a basetball on a court they touched the hearts and lives of many fans.
The Miami Heart Franchise has been around for twenty-six years. In 1988, through an NBA expansion the team began begun with a disappointing start with a 15-67 record for their first season (Fleming, 2014). The progress was slow, however in 1992 made their first playoff appearance finishing fourth place. The Heat made their first trip to the NBA national championships finals in 2006 against the Dallas Mavericks. In this championship, the Heat accomplished a new feat. They rallied from a 0-3 deficit to win the finals.
First, the 2015-16 warriors are the second best team in NBA history because they hold the record for the most wins in a season with 73. First the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors beat a record that has held for 20 years. Second
The 1991 season was the start of the first three-peat, the Chicago Bulls led by the face of the franchise, Michael Jordan, had another All-Star caliber player Scottie Pippen. Michael Jordan and the bulls would go on to win their first championship beating the Lakers; he also won his second MVP since 1987 as well as his first NBA Finals MVP. He would go on to win his second MVP award in both the regular season and in the finals, also winning his second NBA Championship. His s...
Now to the legendary season, the MVP season. Durant became almost unstoppable during the 2013-2014 NBA season. He carried the Thunder to the second best record in NBA history 59-23, while averaging 32 points, Shooting 40 percent from the field while sharing the ball with a top rated point guard. The Thunder had a full head of steam after an amazing regular season then going into the first round of the playoffs barely beating
Ironically, existing Lakers Head Coach, Byron Scott, logged forty minutes in that game scoring seven points in a 126-115 double-overtime Lakers win. Speaking of memories, Kobe Bryant and company have beaten the Rockets three times in the postseason; 1999 First Round 3-1, 2004 First Round 4-1 and 2009 Semi-Finals
