Super Bowl 49 was played on February 1, 2015. The game pitted The Seattle Seahawks against The New England Patriots. The first half of the game was very entertaining and had a lot of fast paced action and good plays. Once, the half ended we were treated to an interesting half time performance by Katy Perry and Missy Elliot. As interesting as the halftime show was it paled in comparison to the climax of the game which had an insane turn of events. It is very hard to put this experience in to words but informing others about it makes the trouble worthwhile. When the game started there wasn’t much action because both defenses stood firm but it didn’t take too long for Tom Brady to open up the scoring and make is imprint after the game. Shortly thereafter, the Seahawks scored and proceeded to control the rest of the half and they ended the half with a slight lead. Both teams imposed their will on the game and both teams fought hard made for a very entertaining for half and foreshadowed the coming events. After 30 minutes of exhilarating football Katy Perry began her halftime performance. It was probably the most bizarre halftime performance that I have ever seen. She began her performance by riding giant metal lion while wearing a dress with flames on it. Then she went on stage and starting singing with dancing beach balls and dancing …show more content…
This situation might stifle most quarterbacks but it did not stifle Tom Brady and he proceeded to complete some game changing passes and regained the lead for the Patriots. The Seahawks would have one last chance and they managed to get to the 1 yard line. The most logical thing to do in this situation is to use Marshawn Lynch and run the football in to the end zone. But the coach was an idiot and called and throwing play and the throw was intercepted and the Patriots emerged
In the Conference Championship against the Pittsburgh Steelers during the game, Brady went down with an injury, but luckily Bledsoe finished the game out and won. The Patriots were heading into the Super Bowl as huge underdogs expecting to get crushed by the St. Louis Rams in the “Greatest Show on Turf.” Brady got the starting job for the Super Bowl and led the Pats to a seventeen to three lead at the half. The Rams came back in the 2nd half and tied it at seventeen to seventeen with less than two minutes remaining most people thought that the Pats should run the clock out and go to overtime, but instead “Tom Terrific,” and the Patriots drove down the field in spectacular fashion to get into field goal range. Bam! Tom Brady the 199th pick who became the seventh string quarterback was now the youngest QB to win a Super
Today I’m here to talk about how Tom Brady is a cheater. On February 1, 2015 super bowl XLIX was played. The game ended with the New England Patriates defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24. The balls used by the Patriates put in Tom Brady’s hands had been deflated prior to the game. The game was played in an over cast and rainy weather forecast. Where deflated balls would be easier to catch/throw.
patriots would come up with strategies or plans that would give them the advantage. For
In conclusion Tom Brady is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. He helped the Patriots win many records, games, and Super Bowls. Ever since he joined the team they have been one of the top teams in the NFL. He is the Patriot’s secret weapon, and without him this team wouldn't have ever won any games. Tom Brad is and always will be the best quarterback in
On the plane ride home and in the airport I was still thinking about the game. The Carolina Panthers had blown out the Buccaneers by 30 points! Cam Newton scored 3 touchdowns himself! I was still excited about the whole game until I fell asleep in the
...Saints who beat the Indianapolis Colts. The Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers to capture Super Bowl XLV. The New York Giants went on to win Super Bowl XLVI over the New England Patriots. Last years Super Bowl was between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. The Ravens won in a nail biter, which included a blackout during the third quarter.
In the 2015 AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts, the Patriots were accused of tampering with their footballs. They allegedly deflated the footballs to 2 PSI below the legal limit, supposedly giving them an unconstituted and illegal advantage. On May 11th, 2015, the National Football League ruled that the Patriots organization was guilty, penalizing them with a 1 million dollar fine, the loss of a first round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, and the loss of a fourth round pick in the 2017 draft. Tom Brady, the quarterback, was personally penalized with a four-game suspension for his involvement in the incident. He claims, however, to be innocent and has been exhausting every possible legal avenue to avoid his punishment.
One of the best Super Bowl games that I have ever seen was Super Bowl forty-nine in 2014, also known as Super Bowl XLIX. The two teams that played in this game were the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. The game was an intensely fought battle all the way to the end by two juggernauts. The Patriots clinched the game with an
The Patriots back in 2015 won the AFC championship game 45-7 against the Colts. There were some accusations going around that the Patriots deflated the balls a little bit, which gave an advantage to them. The NFL put the Patriots under investigation for this once the Super Bowl was over. This put a lot of suspicions on the Patriots by the public. During the investigation, the NFL found no evidence of such actions by the Patriots whatsoever.
The server on the other team once again threw the ball into the air. This time, my teammate sprawled for the ball, and made a perfect pass to me, allowing me to set the ball and have my co-captain smash it to the ground. I looked once again at the faces of my teammates. Things were different now. I knew at once that they knew what I knew. We were the winners of that game. We remembered that at that point, and were assured of it when the referee blew the final whistle after I served an ace on game point.
What you do not understand is that the Patriots have gone to eight Super Bowls in the past 20 years, and have won 5 out of the 8. In 2002 “The Greatest Show on Turf” was beaten by the Patriots with an Adam Vinatieri kick with 4 seconds left on the clock to win Super Bowl 36. Another record the Patriots have set is winning two Super Bowls with a game winning kick. The Pats game plan going through the game was hit Marshal Faulk on every single play, which made him exhausted, and not as good as he could have been at the end of the game. The Patriots have the longest winning streak out of any pro football franchise outscoring their opponents with a 2:1 ratio. Then later in Super Bowl 42 the Patriots got unlucky when Eli Manning got away from a sack and threw the ball to David Tyree which would be caught on top of his helmet, and
Many football fans may not know that the first super bowl in 1967, was not officially named Super Bowl I. The third super bowl game, played in 1969, became the first officially titled “Super Bowl” game. In the previous two years the championship game was titled “AFL-NFL World Championship Game”.(Packers Beat) Many fans would ultimately agree that the title “Super Bowl” is a much more riveting name to the game then its previous title.
Here you have the Patriots, which have the greatest quarterback of all time in Brady on the back end of his career. Brady is forced to sit out a few games and this kid Jimmy Garoppolo comes in and absolutely lights it up. It looks like the Patriots may have found their signal caller for the next fifteen years, and they still have their old one playing at an elite level!
Riley, our starting quarterback, placed his hands on the helmet of the right tackle, as he did every play. He called the play looking straight into my eyes signaling the pass was coming to me. My entire body tingled with excitement as I ran to the left of the field. I could feel my cleats dig into the soft, freshly cut field as I took my stance. I looked up into the sky seeing only white lights which created the stage for the football field. As I brought my head down slowly to see the white eyes of the defender across from me, my heart beat slowed and I was still, in peace for the short moment. The quarterback hiked the ball and I began in pursuit; shifting, juking to get away from my defender. We were side-by-side running down the field as the ball was thrown into the air, coming strait to me. I jumped up and became airborne, snagging it from the lit up, night sky. Falling back with the ball secured into my arms, I felt my defenders full weight push into my left leg. A snap rang out as we hit the ground together and I looked down to see a large bump sticking straight left out of my
The players ran out to the middle of the stadium. A smell of hatred and resentment came about in the air. The crowd came unglued from their seats. The sounds of various noisemakers filled the air once again. Parents and grandparents alike came to their feet in the stands. Cars stopped on the street in front of the stadium, as they honked their horns, and cheered for their team of choice. As the two burly men stood in the middle of the field, many thoughts ran through their heads. They both knew someone was going to die, but defeat was out of the question. The official tossed a polished silver quarter into the air. The coin hit the wet grass with a shiny face of George Washington clearly showing. The home team will receive the ball. Both anger infested players shook hands and ran back to their sideline. The fans began to cheer as the players t...
