Recommended: My first dog story
My memory begins when I was 12 years old, It was a hot day during the long summer. However, Summer Break was just about to end and a school would soon begin, I had been patiently waiting my whole life for the day that I would finally receive a dog. My mom and I bargained for years, but I would always end up with a fish instead of a dog. I even once was able to persuade my mom into buying me a hamster, but after a year or two, the hamster died. Out of all possible excuses, my mom agreed to buy me a dog. As a result, I went searching for any dog breed and finally came up with a Beagle. However, beagles were very loud in general, so my mom and I argued over the breed for most of Summer Break. The standard Beagle was spotted with patches of black, white, and brown. They also possessed long and droopy …show more content…
No matter how many times we told her that Daisy was meant for a girl and the new puppy was a boy, the more she insisted on the name Daisy. My Dad and my Mom wanted to name our puppy Rocky because one of my mom’s dogs from when she was a kid was named Rocky. My sister started to want to name our dog Rocky when she found out that nobody wanted to name the dog daisy, so she made the strategical decision of wanting Rocky since it sounded like the most feminine name.
The day before we were going to get our new dog, we went to Petco and Petsmart to shop for a leash, a cage, a comb, dog food, and a pen. We also received some advice from one of the workers in Petco, she told us how it was to own a dog and what we would need. However, the woman was extremely talkative and we spent a lot of time at Petco. We also took a look at their dog training classes, which were listed on various pieces of colored paper. Each class took about an hour and was taught either in private or in a group, however, the whole family or part of the family was required to attend the
Walking into Walnut Hills High School right now would have anyone thinking the just walked into the middle of a tornado. Everyone you look there are students running in and out of doors, in and out of cars, and most certainly either turning in missing assignments or retaking tests. There is only one way for you to explain all this ciaos, Senior Year, the year that all teens await with so much excitement and ambition and the year that every single hour long study dates pays off. For the class of 2021 this isn’t just their final year at Walnut Hills this is the year that friends separate and head off to their different university to follow their dreams.
I had a great fun winter break I was a little boring but mostly fun. First, I spent time with my friends right after school. For example, I went to the park with my Katelyn, Sophia, Nathan, Ethan, Christian, Martine, And Rustie and played on the jungle gym. Then I went to my best friend Serena´s birthday party a couple days later. We played with balloons and ate a lot of cake and ice cream. We both got really bad stomach ache after eating all that cake and ice cream. Second, I spent time with my family and went to a lot of places. For instance, went to Big Bear and we played in the snow. We played in the snow for at least one or two hours. After we played in the snow we got hot chocolate and went home. Last, I did a lot of shopping and went
Vacations aren't always perfect there is always something that goes wrong. At least in my experiences. A perfect vacation to me is when we are all together as a family, which honestly doesn't happen that much. Having a 20 year old brother an 18 year old in post secondary school can make things complicated. Or having a vacation with no,ILLNESS, which can be very, very hard to do!! And I know I’m not the only one who has experienced this on a vacation!
However by that time I had lost all interest with what she was saying. Everything had become soundless because had I already started unlatching the create. All my interest was on the puppy. At first he was a little scared and didn’t want to come out. I repeatedly tried to pull him out which only helped with scaring him even more. I forgot all about my bad day and was so happy to have a puppy. All I wanted to do was play with Tucker constantly. In our house for the rest of the day all you could hear was barking and laughing. I was only five at the time and didn’t know how to play with Tucker. I just ended up hugging the little him a lot. Tucker was as small as a large mango. He could literally sit in my mother’s
It was so nice to be back at Discovery, for my third summer volunteering. It hadn’t felt like summer until I walked into the door and saw all the preschoolers. This year it was very different from the past 2 years because there were so many new kids and only about four from the last summer. The kids were all very excited to meet me and were very welcoming. It was nice to see some of the same teachers, but there were new teachers as well. All the kids came up to me to find out my name and to ask if I was a new teacher. I especially loved it when I introduced myself to one of the kids and he responded “Kalala, that’s a silly name”. It was amazing to watch the kids playing and learning and having the chance to watch how they interact with one another. They’re so nice
He we go. Just me and myself now. I can write whatever I want and Mrs. Wesbecher can’t read it. To this point I have wrote about a lot of fun things I have done throughout high school, but that was just the PG version. Sophomore year is when things really began to heat up. One day over at Alex’s we found the key to his parents liquor cabinet. We did exactly what 15 year old guys would do, took some sips and wow did we think we were badasses. Looking back opening the cabinet taking a few sips and locking it back up really quick was quite comical. One night during Sophomore year it was Alex, Cal, and I, Alex drank a lot and we started to walk around town (no license yet). We walked around town for a long time with Alex’s sloppy ass. After a while
I met Goustan almost two years ago when he came to California on a school trip. The program he was with is called Horizon du Monde, and their goal is to help broaden the horizons of students all over the world. Most schools justify this vacation as a school-related trip by saying it will help students better their English. A week before he was going to arrive he started to email my father, but I would email him back. I was surprised at how well his English looked, he was able to write about his school experiences, music tastes, and everyday life. One could really tell from the way he kept writing that he was most likely an extrovert. Goustan stayed with my family for about two weeks and was almost completely surrounded by English-only speakers.
Well this took place in el paso, texas during summer break. During the summer we would always look forward to it since we got to see our grandma. Now this is when our summer went down hill and things changed.
Being a teenager my mother explained having a pet was a great responsibility somehow I was frustrated she didn’t understand my passion and love for dogs! Nothing in the world would convince her to let us get one. She claimed I can have a turtle if I desperately wanted to have a pet. I couldn’t agree.
One day i was with my friend and we were riding bikes and a huge pit bull came charging at us and we started to go faster and we were trying to lose him and we went through an ally and a lot of dogs were barking at us and a german shepard jumped a fence and my chain was making a lot of noise and we lost them for awhile and i fixed my chain because it was about to fall of then we were riding back home and they saw us again and we started to pedal as fast as we could so we could lose them and we got in a different place and got lost and the dogs were still chasing us so we splited up and later we couldn't find each other and i called him and he wouldn't answer the phone and at last i saw him and he told me that he had lost his phone so instead
I cram back into the overly packed white sports-mom van that my dad owned and shake the snow from ugly, brown crocs. I feel bad about Andrew's glasses, but a simple bottle of glue will fix whatever damaged I caused with the snowball. Dad reminds us how close we are to our “Thanksgiving vacation.” We stopped for gas about two hours from Great Uncle Willy and Great Aunt Rosemary's house in Ohio. Hearing this, I sink back into my seat and lean my head back onto the broken headrest. I cannot help but remember who these people are. They not only raised my father after his mother's death and his father's abandonment, but also, they hit the age of 70 long before I came into this world. Aunt Rosemary sends letters in incredibly illegible handwriting, only translatable by Dad himself, all the time. However, Dad has never particularly
Moving weekend. These two words have defined my life several times since my pilgrimage to Colorado. My first few years here were chaotic, unknown, and completely spontaneous. For someone who likes control, a concrete plan at least two weeks in advance, and a generous helping of consistent routine, my first days, weeks, years, where I was but a nomadic, semi-"homeless" wanderer were met with the most challenging and illuminating moments I have yet encountered.
Even though they might not find out and you can get away with it , never lie to your parents. Sooner or later they may find out. Parents expect you to be honest with them. so you can earn their trust, and, lying to your parents about your location etcetera is not needed. I learned the hard way that honesty is always the best policy with just one night one the town.
Every year since I was five, my family had traveled to our cabin in the mountains for Thanksgiving vacation. In recent years, my mom decided to make a change in our tradition. We traveled to Texas two years ago to visit my uncle, and this past year my mom decided that we were going to the beach. We packed our suitcases, loaded the car, and headed to Ocean City, Maryland.
Throughout someone’s life they will go to many places with their family, friends, another relatives. I have been on a few vacations that have made a lasting impact on my life. But one of the most memorable vacations I have experienced was with my cousins. I went to goa beach. Most of you probably don’t know about that beach but it is a very famous one in south India. I enjoyed myself to the fullest. The beach environment was enlightening. I would not have wanted to take this trip with anyone other than my cousins. We had a great time on the ocean sands and swimming in the ocean everyday made this vacation unforgettable.
