Social media made our lives much easier, however it also made us antisocial. Throughout years that social media existed, people started to notice how massive the impact of it might be. Studies have shown that social media made people care less about real life communication.

In a comic “Doonesbury“, G.B. Trudeau tries to illustrates how society is starting to care more about virtual problems then real life events. He shows how people forget how to interact with people in real life.“hi dad,almost ready to go just need a couple more seconds.“ (Trudeau,1). This is a quote from the comic. By saying this the girl started doing something on the computer instead of interacting with his dad whom she didn‘t see for a while. By making this comic the author wants to show that social media is bad, and people should ruther communicating in real life. Although this statement is true Rebecca Armendariz in “Chat History“ said that “if you really want to communicate with someone or to show them that you care about them, you should talk to them face to face.“(Armendariz,104). In her essay, Rebecca tried to explain that real human communication is priceless. It takes more than words to communicate verbally. It shows emotions and makes a connection with the other person that makes the communication better then any text can be.
