Honestly the score was higher than expected and rather stressful just knowing. In a strange way this last statement should be taken as a joke. After reading the article, Anatomy of an Illness as Perceived by the Patient, humor will have to become a priority in my life. The relationship I have with my son's father will not improve any time soon. I need to develop stronger coping skills that do not allow his troubles affect or effect us, such as detachment. The separation was the right decision for my son and myself, although a painful one. The arguments preceding the separation were not healthy for any of us. My decision to return to my education was another huge change that brought on stress, but it was good stress in my case. The more time
I spend concentrating on these classes becomes less time spent on how things could have been. My score was over 400 and yes it alarmed me very much. The plan is to continue healing, work hard, spend time with my son, and enjoy each day as it gets here.
I chose not to use any of the prompts provided, but instead connect the article to what I learned in my sociology class lass quarter. In class we watched part one of film series of Unnatural causes, titled Unnatural Causes: Is Inequality Making us Sick "In Sickness and in Wealth". While reading the article this reminded me about the cases studied in the film to see whether wealth inequality contributes to making people sick. In the film they focused on the social determinants of health, wealth and education. In both the article and part one of the film Unnatural Causes they focused on three different individuals and how their health are affected by they choices they make and the access they have to care.
Overall, these test were very interesting and it made me really think of my results and why I got it. I thought this was a really cool experience and even though it gave me a headache it is definitely something to learn
When someone is confronted with legal separation from the person to whom they've committed their adult life, it may seem as though their whole life is disintegrating right before their eyes, especially if they're not the one choosing the separation. The future stops existing, and only an empty present looms ahead. For some, the feelings evoked by a divorce and the issues that surround it pass relatively quickly; for others, the anguish and consequences last for years.

Divorce causes an enormous amount of stress in the lives of many; according to the American Psychological Association, in America, about 40 to 50 percent of married couples divorce. For most parents, missing their kids on weekends, holidays, and vacations can be very stressful; the parents are often stressing about what the other parent is telling the child and who the other parent has around the child. In a divorce, most likely, there will be some increased financial stress for one spouse or both. Possibly the house, the cars, the accounts, and maybe the dogs could be divided within both parties; it may work out good for someone, but both individuals will inherit some unmerited stress. Knowing, as a parent, children are likely to suffer due to the removal from a natural environment causes pain to a loving parent; most important, the stress it causes to a kid can be unbearable. The decision to cancel a marriage can be very chaotic and traumatic to all parties
In today’s College in America there is a debate rather institutions should use the grade scale or pass-fail scale to determine the success of a student. I believe that Institutions in America should use the grade scale rather than the pass-fail scale. A grade scale gives the student an accurate percentage no matter if they passed or fail but with the pass-fail scale it just gives you the letter grade rather than the actual percentage grade.
Would You Rather? is a popular game among children, teenagers, and even adults. The game simply gives players two choices and asks them which they would rather. However, what would a player choice if they picked up a car and it read, “Would You Rather… have a mental illness or a physical illness?” You could easily say that mental diseases are worse and name all of the aspects that are terrifying about them; however, you could also say that physical illnesses are worse and list the gory realities of it as well. But what about them both, side by side, with all of their painful characteristics and facts. Mental and physical diseases are no worse than one another because they both disarray daily lives and activities, both
I found this assessment extremely useful since it helped me see my weaknesses and strengths clearer. Knowing what my strengths and weaknesses are helps me know what sort of emotions or habits I need to be careful of and what qualities I can improve and/or
The bridging of native traditions with modern imperial ways has a direct effect on the minds of Zimbabwean girls and women. Dangarembga drew inspiration for her title from the quote “the condition of the nation is a nervous one”, from Frantz Franon’s book Wretched of the Earth. The reader sees this idea of nervousness displayed within the female main characters of this novel. “ Its bad enough, when a country gets colonised but when the people do as well! That’s the end, really, that’s the end. (Nervous Conditions,150). This quote stated by Nyasha addresses how colonialism and imperialism are not just cultural, political and economical, but psychological as well. It infiltrates the minds of the citizens and their very cultural existence. The women in this novel are faced with the choice of embracing the British ways or running back to their Shona roots. No matter the choice they make, the Imperial control of the British Empire over Zimbabwe affects the minds of these women. The title of Dangarembga's novel, Nervous Conditions, alludes to the influence imperialism has on the minds of Tambu, Nyasha and Maiguru as they struggle to re-define themselves in a white man’s world.

My parents separated, and I don’t want to make the same choice as them. I’ve noticed every child has a different reaction to hearing the news. It all depends on their age and how many siblings are involved. There can be good or bad results at the end of a situation like this. Whether children grow up with intact parents or separated parent is doesn’t determine their outcome. Children who grow up in a single-parent family still get love and affection. The pros and cons of the effects of divorce for children depend on their age stage between infant, toddler, child, teenager and adult.
The history of anatomy and physiology dates back to ancient Egyptian times when humans were mummified after death and bodies would be stripped of their internal organs during the embalming process. It was not until much later when Hippocrates II, known as the father of medicine, was the first to write about human anatomy. Shortly after that, the Alexandrian Medical School was established, where human dissection was allowed for the first time, which promoted research and new discoveries in the field. From there, many other influential researchers came up with theories regarding the cardiovascular and nervous systems, etc; however, the missing links in some of the earlier theories was found with the discovery of the microscope, which changed the focus of research and led to many advancements in the field.
Even though divorce is not commonly thought of as a good thing, it sometimes can have a positive outcome such as the children and parents being happy, and allowing the children to mature. Parents being separated can be better for the kids because they won’t have to deal with the parents fighting. If the kids are put in a better and stable environment it can affect them in positive ways. Sometimes divorce is better for the child if they have been in the environm...
A lot of parents become very selfish when dealing with divorce and sometimes that can be a good and a bad thing. When you have children it can be a bad thing because parents should do what is best for the children. For example, if a parent is going through physical abuse from the other parent, then that is a major sign that the parent should leave. It will be hard for the child at first, but the parent knows it will be a better outcome. According to Davis (2011), divorce has helped women and children through obstacles like neglect. Being able to get out of a bad situation is the best solution. It is good when parents get to become happy again and live a better life. It is better for the relationship between both parents and especially for the
