School is, in most cases, the largest part of a child's life. They spend most of their daytime at school, and most of the people they meet are at school. So why shouldn't they have more of an influence in what happens at school?
School is often referred to by kids as a prison, or torture. It's not uncommon to overhear students talking in the hallways about why this one teacher made them so mad, or how Ms. Whoever failed them on a test just because she hates them. Students complain about just about everything there is to complain about. They say it's too hot, too cold, the school lunch sucks, the teachers suck, the classes suck, and so on. It's unfortunate that so many kids are so unhappy in the place where they spend most of their time. School

Some teachers are too strict, some are not strict enough. Some assign homework, some don't. Some let you use the restroom, and some bribe you with extra credit so you won't go. These small things along with teaching style, effort put into grades, and many more aspects in the classroom give students a certain vibe from their teacher. There is no way any evaluation made by a superior can judge a teacher better than their students can. Giving the students an opportunity to voice their opinion on teachers lets the school create a healthy environment where everyone is free to speak about what they would prefer to …show more content…
They are giving an example of stepping up to authority for kids around the country. Kids need to have the power to change things to suit them. They should be our main focus as a society, because they will become society in the future. Students should be encouraged to stand up and change policies that affect their daily
What those student did actually changed the policy and made it easier for families to afford college without heavy loans. This showed others that activists can make a difference, something she presses on in this
Schools are supposed to be second homes. It goes without saying that students should feel safe, comfortable, and happy at school. They're all there for the same reason. They're all stuck in the same boat of studying for the same diploma exams and going to the same assemblies.
Why would someone decide to go against school board decisions? By having symbolic protests, there would be less disruptions and less chaos. Usually what people think of when they hear protests is chaos, fire, and violence. Now if the students would’ve chose to have a protest with signs and chaos, that would’ve been a bigger problem. When the kids chose to go against the school board, they hurt themselves because when you go against adults in a school you could never win because they have the more power. If the kids wanted to be smart about the protest, they would’ve conducted it more silent and wouldn't even let the school board find out about it.
School is something we all know and understand. Regardless of whether we wanted it or not, we have all passed through school. School is, first and foremost, a place designed for people to go and learn. It is a place to better yourself, to learn facts, discipline, to learn social and economic skills. But for all that school is intended for, people go for different reasons. Some are hardworking and academically minded, they go to learn, to set a good foundation for their future, with an aim of becoming successful and accomplished in their career. Others are carefree, going for the social side, to be popular, have lots of friends, and in the end just to have a good time. For others it can even be a place of safety, a place where they can get
In schools people are judged by everyone which makes the environment at school very tense.
I believe school not be year around. If anything they should reduce the time we in school. Nobody wants to stay in school year round if we do more kids might drop out. If we reduce the time we have to be in school more kids might show up to learn and exactly graduate and go off to college and become something with themselves like lawyers doctors etc. if kids are made to stay in school year round they might get tired and depressed. If the is lessen for school kids might use their exacter time to study and learn new things by their selves instead of spending all day in a hot class that make them sleepy.
School should be a place where children can feel safe, make friends, and maybe have an escape from problems at home. It should
It is a place where they can feel protected and upheld. Sometimes the bad school performance makes the children feel that they do not belong to that world. It makes her feel that it is not able to keep up with the other colleagues. We all know how children without even knowing it can be cruel with schoolmates. Thus, a bad school performance already is reason for starting bullying against those who do not have good grades. The other children give them pejorative nicknames and isolate them from the rest of the students. This makes the school is torture for this type of student. They end up not putting up the pressure and drop out of school. Another critical point to highlight is the transition to the elementary school to middle school when the school changes the system of having only one teacher to have several teachers and rotations classrooms and colleagues. Sometimes the children do not adapt to this change and drop out of school. The type of school that the child and adolescent attending and the type of teacher they also have are crucial factors for student follows or not in school. As previously mentioned the school environment should be welcoming to the student. If the school is extremely rigid and not provide freedom for the student can feel the will to expose your ideas or even discuss (with discipline and respect) someone’s ideas in class, this school will not be a place where the student liked to spend half his day. Another important point is to have well prepared teacher. The school must have trained and motivated teachers to work. They need to be people that encourage students to develop critical thinking and to make even the most boring of subjects an attractive theme to develop in the classroom. In addition, teachers need to have the sensitivity to realize when a student is going through a period of difficulties and help you overcome
While parents focus more on a specific view on certain subjects, school is where one is allowed to have a more overall look at what is and isn’t accepted by society. Things that fall into this category includes peer opinions, education related activity, civics class, school clubs, learning about the American dream and how gender and race play a factor in today’s society. Through school, we learn the basic foundations of our political beliefs and the differences. We are exposed to going to school with people from different diverse demographics with different opinions and conflicting views which gradually sharpens our views as we grow
Right from the time we embark on our education trip, we come across different types of teachers. Some are friendly, some are strict, and some are the ones we idolize. We also dislike a few, who fail to impress us positively. Students begin to like teachers, according to their own individual preferences. They even classify their teachers into different categories, such as Friendly Teachers, Lenient Teachers, Perfectionist Teachers, Strict Teachers and Funny Teachers. All these classifications for teachers are based on some typical personality traits of the teachers. For ex - some teachers constantly criticize the students, some act like friends, some are fun to be with and so on. Let us explore them in detail.
Currently there are many students tried to go to college and finish their degree. But some students don’t know what they should do in college and how to avoid the failure in classes. The failure will happen if you have no real goal or plan to finish it.
There are many things which make a teacher great and they all can`t be defined. However i`ve always considered several of them essential. In my opinion a good teacher is someonewho first of all creates interest in studying, doesn`t underestimate the children, has equal expectations of siccess from everyone and last but not least likes his job.
...ke school something that the students can look back on and think that it was a meaningful time where they learned a lot about life instead of a time where they thought they would have a break down because they got a low score on a test. School should be a time to make mistakes in a safe environment that they can learn from, not a place that they are petrified to make a mistake for fear of retribution on their grade cards. Its time to change the school system to save future students from becoming stress crazed and to let them know that there is more to this world than a grade card and in the long run it is a very small fraction of life.
Every teacher has their strong points as well as weak points. Teaching is very hard work and some of them never grow to be anything better than mediocre. They do the bare minimum and very little over and above the call of duty. There are several ways to become a great teacher. Teachers are truly dedicated workers who put a lot of time and schooling into being able to teach for the rest of their lives.
Maybe it is because that parents often say “spare the rod spoil the child”, and Instructors often time get to use to how they are treating their child so they’ll likely to do the same to their students. Or some instructor may just simply lost their work ethic. I think all of the teachers should respect every student, and every single student should be treated equally.
