Making the impossible possible
Making the impossible possible is worth reading because it it shows how Strickland became very successful along with some of his students. And how it gives people motivation to do things they never thought they could do ever in there life, while showing you how to do positive things with your time instead of doing nothing.
As Strickland talks about his journey he talks about pottery and how it got him interested in wanting to make things with clay. So he had the idea of having art classes and letting the kids use clay to help motivate themselves.” All I knew was caly and what it had done for me. Intuitively, i knew it could do the same for them(Strickland 7). The motivation that he gave the children made them believe that they could do anything they put their minds to. Sharif Bey was one of Stricklands students many of the teachers thought he wasn't going to be anything since he kept to himself. But when he was given clay he started to make things and sooner down the line he became a director of arts education. …show more content…

No step is to small. Pick up some trash. Check on a elderly neighbor. Volunteer at your school or a homeless shelter( Strickland 226). This gives people the opportunity to do something with your time instead of not doing anything. This way students can’t get into trouble and having them feel good about being able to do something in there community. He also mentions that the students should commit themselves in something they are passionate about that moves them every time they do it. People who read this book could relate to this if they have a passion or if they do something that that in their everyday
