Humans presently have always imagined time in correlation with the amount of years they spend on the earth. Therefore, within our fast paced culture, time has been considered applicable to our lives. Humans today spend more brain energy and thought processes wondering how to increase their time not only on earth but in daily activities. Based on this common trend, humans have become slaves to time and its requirements. Stress management classes could help one recognize the reason as to why they get stressed out or feel anxious. I think stress management class should be required for college students because it can teach helpful stress management activities. Especially now and days, it has been studied that stress can lead to health problems. By enforcing students to take a stress management class, they will learn about special helpful tools that can help one 's health in the long run. A stress management class can also teach a variety of strategies for incorporating relaxation tools or anger management techniques for when one is stressed out. It is very important to try and keep a civil tone because many times how you voice things may lead to different reactions. Yelling and screaming at people will not always help get your point across. Many times it makes things worse because it becomes hard to listen and understand what you are trying to explain. Getting into heated arguments with one’s spouse or partner is very common. I understand because I have been in plenty arguments with my boyfriend. Usually it leads to us yelling at one another in which leads to nothing. However, afterward, people became accustomed to picking things up, meeting people, or getting on trains at certain times. As distance became less important, time became more important. It is this concept of time that has carried over to the present day. We are oriented around times and dates, from airline departures and arrivals to work schedules to social events. We no longer view the world as a big place that takes a long time to get from one place to another, but rather what time we will be there.

Stress is a natural occurrence that most every person will experience at some point in his or her life. A stressor, as defined by Potter, Perry, Stockert, and Hall (2013), is any kind of event or situation that a person encounters in their environment that requires him or her to change and adapt. This vital element to life is often looked over and is thought of to just pass as we go along our days. It’s not something that we usually stop for to think about and examine. To humans, time is seen as useless and easily brushed off, but many don’t realize that it is a crucial and necessary concept that affects our everyday life and could easily live without us.
What can be done to manage and/or apply preventative measures to prevent stress in the workplace?
Stress is something that everyone has to deal with in life, whether it is good or bad stress. Stress management techniques are a great way to deal with stress. Some of the stress management techniques that I learned from this course are prioritization, scheduling, and execution. Using these techniques has effectively helped me deal with my own stress. When it comes to dealing with stress I still have many strengths and weaknesses that I will explain. Some stressors I have in my life that I will discuss are psychointrapersonal, social, life events, and daily hassles. Next, I will give my opinion on my post-course survey, and compare and contrast it to my pre-course survey scores. Finally, I will explain my last goals for this stress management course.

Although our society tends to be focused around money, individuals perceive a higher importance of money on evaluating who they are. Money is a resource open to various degrees of fluctuation, it can be saved, spent and gained and in time is able to replenish it, opposed to time, which is always being lost, thus is valued due to limited supply.

Stress is defined as “any circumstances that threaten or are perceived to threaten one’s well-being and thereby tax one’s coping abilities” (Weiten & Lloyd, 2006, p. 72). Stress is a natural event that exists literally in all areas of one’s life. It can be embedded in the environment, culture, or perception of an event or idea. Stress is a constant burden, and can be detrimental to one’s physical and mental health. However stress can also provide beneficial effects; it can satisfy one’s need for stimulation and challenge, promote personal growth, and can provide an individual with the tools to cope with, and be less affected by tomorrow’s stress (Weiten & Lloyd, 2006, p. 93).
Stress is an ongoing dilemma that occurs in each and everyone’s life. It is a factor that is undoubtedly a part of daily living. Due to the trivial problems that occur in people’s daily lives massive amounts of stress can arise. People perceive and manage stress in many different ways.
