Stress. What is stress? A state of mental tension and worry caused by problems in your life, work, etc. (Merriam.webstercom, 2015, p. xx). Stress is most likely unavoidable. It is impossible for one to stay stress-less all their life considering they lead a life consisting of ups and downs. Everyone goes through stress – from adults, young adults, teenagers and even children – experience it from time to time but in different ways. A little or enough stress in life is good to keep us alert and ready to face challenges in life but a little too much of anything isn’t good and too much stress can have extenuate effects on our health. Over the past few decades, there has been significant investigation on the issues of stress and management of stress (Dziegielewski, et. Al. 2004, p.xx). It is basically one’s body’s response to certain situations. It is not likely that everyone will go through the same type of stress. While public speaking may be stressful for some people, it would not be stressful for a few. Many different people undergo different kinds of stress as no two people are alike. It can be complicated and disturbing but everyone goes through these things in life.
