The Story of Jesus

A person does not have to be religious to be spiritual. People can believe in a higher existence without being considered Hindu, Catholic, and Protestant. Many faiths are founded on higher reasons, not higher existences. Many Christians believes in a living God whom has physically walked on this earth. Many people do not realize who Jesus actually was. Most people see him as just a divine appearance in a human shell. Jesus truly knew the joys and pains of life, I feel for people to comprehend Jesus, they must comprehend the man he became. Through this essay will explain the story of his life so you have an understanding of who he was and what he did.

The story of Jesus begins with his birth. Jesus was born as baby from a human mother Mary and a human father named Joseph. Most people widely think that Jesus was born around 4 B.C. When Jesus was born, his first breath came in the smell of a stable and his first bed made

of straw in an animal feeding trough. He was totally relied on his mother for warmth and protection like most kids do; Jesus was helpless as any newborn baby, even he still needed the help of his parents. Shortly after hearing of his birth many local shepherds in nearby field came to visit Jesus. Jesus returned to Israel as a carpenter and a grown man. Jesus lived an ordinary life until about his early thirties. Jesus though his treavels soon began feeling the works of God, which led him through the desert where he would conduct his purpose on earth.
Here in the desert Jesus faced many significant temptations. Jesus spent forty days in the desert, all without food; in the meantime he was trying to figure out what he was going to do. People say he was tempted by the devil, who would suggest many ways to make his life a lot easier. Jesus needed credibility; so he endured many things what man endures.
“Jesus would spend 40 days fasting in the wilderness; thinking about the significant’s of the 40 years of wandering by the Israelites. His first temptation would come by the Prince of Evil, which focuses on Jesus's physical needs. Hunger, Satan asks Jesus, “If you are the son of man, then command these stones to turn to bread loaves and eat them.”(New King James Version, Matthew. 4.1) Jesus has a powerful response telling Satan, “Man does not live on bread alone, but from every word that comes from Gods mouth."(New King James Version, Luke. 4.4)
I believe Jesus could have changed those stones into bread and ate them. But he knew that he needed the credibility. I mean who would respect him if he was never hungry, tired or thirsty?
In Jesus experience in the desert, he was approached by John the Baptist who would perform his baptism.

This seemed like a problem for the church. Many people did not want to accept a tradition that places Jesus below others, well so they thought. Many thought Jesus was a man free of sin, and they also thought why did he need to be baptized? After his baptism, he worked hard time and time again spreading the gospel to bring the message and love of God to many people. Jesus walked and walked for long periods to get to his destinations. Today we have many forms of transportation, but imagine walking for weeks and weeks to get somewhere. Jesus seemed like he was always faced with tough choices in his life. Believe me they were always tough for Jesus as they are for us. Sometimes, people believed he should go home and work as a carpenter again. Even his supporters doubted him and even betrayed him can you believe that. His enemies always tried to trap him and twist his words; they also tried to kill

him.
During his journey, Jesus found twelve disciples to follow him. None of them were holy men or priests; sometimes they followed Jesus as he talked to large crowds. Sometimes when Jesus was not there they would assist in prayer and other things he needed them to do.
Jesus in his time on earth performed many miracles. I myself believe in the miracles he performed and took them as proof that Jesus had supernatural power. Most of his miracles showed his compassion from a human view. I feel he felt and knew their pain and suffering. He knew their hunger, sickness and disease. He often told those who witnessed them that they should not tell others about his miracles.
During what is called “Palm Sunday”, Jesus entered Jerusalem, the next day he went and confronted all who were purchasing and trading there." It is written. He said. “My house will be called a house of prayer but you are making it a den of robbers."( New King James Version. Matthew 4:56)
This act was a direct challenge to the group of priests who were in charge of the Temple. During the following days he had many disagreements with the priests and teachers of religion. Their anger and disagreements led the people get rid of him, but they hesitated during the daytime, because many people were gathered for the feast of Passover. Jesus had a meal with his twelve disciples called the “Last Supper” and following the meal Jesus went to the Garden of Gethsemane, where he prayed alone. In his prayer he showed conflict, he hoped he might avoid suffering. He knew what awaited him down the road. He knew the minds of his adversaries and he knew that his death would be an excruciating one. He asks God to relieve him of the responsibility and suffering but knew that his Fathers will, must be done. In the garden one of his disciples, directed the priests and the temple soldiers, who seized Jesus. Jesus was captured and trialed before the temple court. It was here that he was declared a cursor by his enemies, and was sentenced to death of crucifixion.
It was said that he had several chances to escape death but he knew for his work to be complete he would have to go through the pain and suffering. Jesus had complete trust in his Father God as he prayed to bring him through. Jesus had to brave during his last days and had to have courage that only the son of God could have.
I think it is very clear that the people who follow Jesus were absolutely influenced of his rebirth. I feel the rise of Jesus was so great that it turned peoples despair into courage. Even after Jesus had risen from the tomb his disciples still went on to spread the news, and they continued to tell their story even though it meant they could die and suffer from torcher. I feel faith in Jesus, despite differences in understanding and detail, is a major reason for the rise and spread of the Christian faith.
