Analysis the leadership styles and characteristics
Steve Jobs main leadership styles in my opinion were: directing and coaching. Mr. Jobs was a great director of the company and he showed in different occasions where he was able to bring to company afloat after hard times. At the same time, he was very good in development people skills to reach his goals. Even though, sometimes his methods were questionable.
I think Mr. Jobs’ key leadership characteristics were: focus, passion, shared vision, persuasive and fearlessness. When Mr. Jobs started a project, he focused until it was completed and most of the cases he was in top of it. That also shows the passion he had for his work. He had a great shared vision, he was able to give to his subordinates the energy and motivation and building a shared interest in the organization and its goals (Grimsley, 2016). He was persuasive, he was able to persuade people either by reason or the use of enticement. Mr. Jobs was fearlessness; he would fight for his ideals to the point that it would conflicts within his

is a global company, therefore, environmental factors can affect it but in a small scale. In 1999 there was an earthquake in Taiwan where most of the computers chips where manufactured at that time. There were some delays on some products but the industry was able to get back on track. In the case of Apple Inc. In my experience with company similar to Apple Inc., we were producing a part for them but they always required a secondary supplier in another state or country. Therefore, if our company was down due to an environmental factor, the can switch to full production to the secondary supplier.
Social factors can influence this company; such is the case of the Chinese market where iPhone sales could ban due to claims that Apple violated design patents on certain small Chinese manufacturers. This case shows where the politics are creating a conflict on the Apple’s market and could be just because of groups of interest pressure a government to favor the local products.
Leadership is about taking in account all the factors that may affect the sales or production of a product, that is why a good leader should have a good contingency plan.

During the years before 2012, loyal Apple customers were in protest and petition when they found out that the labor conditions of Apple in Foxconn were unaccepted, the issue emerged to a worldwide attention. Also, the customers did not want to buy Apple products anymore because of the increasing number of accidents or suicidal in Foxconn. The employees were working in a dangerous environment and living in dorms that looked like a prison. These issues came to the attention that Apple decided to join Fair Labor Association, a monitoring group including at least 43 violations of Chinese Laws and regulations.
...ties and differences of the leadership of Steve Jobs and Fr. Jose Arizmendiarrieta that the leadership required for organisations to succeed is unique to the goals and definition of success portrayed by the leader. Their leadership styles were reflected in the organisations development and it can be seen why leadership in organisations is of such importance. What is also clear is that there is no right or wrong way to lead – Fr Jose achieved a sustainable profitable cooperative, Jobs archived a highly profitable company. The leadership practice used needs to fit the organisations vision, the needs of the stakeholders, and be ingrained into followers. The followers need to buy in to the leader’s vision and goals and play their part in implementing the steps required for success. The leader is ultimately responsible for guiding the followers along the path to success.
Apple is a billion dollar a year company. It is through their manufactures in China that they are able to produce their products. These manufactures want fast and inexpensive production. A key component to leadership is to master skills that one already possesses. The greatest leaders in the world do not necessarily stem from the best universities or some costly academic background. One of the strongest traits a person can have is understanding what their leadership style is. When one understands his or her leadership style this can work strongly to one 's advantage. The goal is to garner the best results with the least amount of effort whenever possible therefore many particulars exist which can add to this equation and understanding one’s personal leadership style is a great place to start.
... Additionally, the hurdles imposed by the government agencies will impact the cost of sourcing from China adversely and will have a negative impact on the profitability for the company.

One way through which Apple may be affected is through changes in government regulations concerning employees compensation and taxes. If foreign countries increase minimum wage for workers and taxes for business entities, the costs associated with manufacturing Apple’s products would increase, and the extra expenses would either be transferred to the consumer through increase in product prices, or the company’s profitability would be significantly reduced. Additionally, most of Apple’s customers originate from overseas countries as the the company operates on a global platform. As such, the company’s activities may be affected by changes in the countries’ laws and regulations(Gong, 2013). For instance, the relationship between the U.S. and China is strained at the moment, and the Chinese government has frustrated Apple’s efforts in providing products to its

That creates an issue for the economy since that makes America dependent on China do them manufacturing most things we use. With all the iPhones sold in the world none are made in US which is a lost potential for more job opportunities “70 million IPhones were sold in 2011 none of them were made in America.”(Kabin, Benjamin. “Apple's iPhone: Designed in California But Manufactured Fast All Around the World (Infographic).” Entrepreneur, 11 Sept. 2013, www.entrepreneur.com/article/228315.) As we know Apple is one the richest companies in the world which we would assume can afford to give their employees some benefits but unfortunately the employees have to work in horrible conditions “However, the workers assembling iPhones, iPads and other devices often labor in harsh conditions, according to employees inside those plants, worker advocates and documents published by companies themselves.”(Barboza, Charles Duhigg and David. “Apple's iPad and the Human Costs for Workers in China.” The New York Times, The New York Times, 25

One of the methods that Apple uses to maintain a competitive advantage in international markets is tying their hardware and applications together with an integrated operating system. This means that one of their devices, such as the iPad works very much like the iPhone and many of the apps run one device just as they do on the other. The only difference would be the size of the product. Apples laptop is larger than the iPad which is larger than the iPhone.
