Steve Jekyll Attitude

In a small town just outside of Los Angeles there was a teenage boy named, Steve Jekyll. Steve went to the only high school in the tiny town. He has always had a rough time fitting in throughout his entire school career.
Everyday Steve comes to school with a smile and good attitude, but today he is especially happy. Today is the first day of his senior year. He walks into the building and immediately sees Natasha standing by her locker with all of her friends. Steve excitedly walks up to her and says, “Hey Natasha, how are you?” She responds with an eye roll and walks away. Steve shakes it off and says, “Well nice seeing you, have a great day!” Steve walks on through the hall and finds Ronald. Steve tries his best to be a friend to everyone he meets and he want them to be friendly to him. He is in love with the idea of having a lot of friends. He is so obsessed with this idea that he even pushes the true friends away just to be the, “cool kid,” with a lot friends. The year is finally in progress and Steve’s number of friends keeps growing. All he eats, sleeps, and breathes is trying to please all of these people. He is becoming so stressed that he can’t hardly stand it. Now things turn from bad to worse. Steve is standing in the middle of the small lunch room, among all of his friends, he gets a call and when he answers and begins to listen, his face drops. Steve begins to tell his possy what the call was about. He tells them, “My dad was just diagnosed with cancer and only has about three months left.” All of the people around him say, “I’m sorry,” but return to their day like nothing has
