I think you are stereotyping dog owners. So what's the big deal if someone puts a properly tied doggie in your garbage, How does that really hurt you??? If it helps someone out and keeps the bags off the streets, I feel I have done something, albeit small, to help someone as well as our community. It is very clear how negative interactions affects others and contributes to the overall discontent of the community. We live in a fast pace world andare "me first" community. Seattle has lost its reputation of being a big city with a small town mentality. It was kindness for others that gave Seattle its reputation. It is often overlooked how important small acts kindness improves someones' life as well as our community: Kindness takes the hard
In a short story called, “Thank you ma’am”, the author is trying to convey the theme, or message, of the importance of showing random acts of kindness towards others to help institute change. Mrs.J show one act of kindness when she washes his face. Another when she makes Roger food at her house. Mrs.J is kind and shows multiple examples throughout the story.
“Making a Difference” by June Callwood is an expository essay created to inspire the reader to make a change in the world around them, and to stand up for what they believe in. By just doing simple, positive things, people can make a huge impact on their lives and the lives of people around them. June Callwood, author of “Making a Difference”, changes the way many people see the world by describing scientific research and telling the stories of people who performed small, random acts of kindness that made a huge difference in people’s attitudes and the community around them.
Kindness can really make a difference in a person's attitude. In “A Christmas Carol”, the Cratchits and Scrooge's nephew Fred show kindness to Scrooge, even though Scrooge showed quite the opposite to them. Or in “Thank you M’am”, when Ms. Jones makes Roger food and gives him money to buy his shoes, instead of reporting him to the police. Even in “Little Things Are Big”, when Jesus decides to help people even if he has to face prejudism. These stories all show turning points, and these examples show
Restate Thesis Statement: Dogs don’t only give owners happiness; they also affect their owners positively.
“Sometimes it 's easy to walk by because we know we can 't change someone 's whole life in a single afternoon. But what we fail to realize it that simple kindness can go a long way toward encouraging someone who is stuck in a desolate place.” ~ Mike Yankoski
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
As the owner of three unique pups, I know that dogs’ variances are numerous. Any one who owns a dog knows that it has a mind of its own, and therefore a unique personality. Having had many dogs throughout my life, I have found that dogs fit into three classifications.
This may seem like something very small, and of course it wasn’t a big deal for me to give him my leftover food, but to him it was a big deal. Not only did I make this man happy, but as I walked back inside I felt happy also. There’s something about the helping others that can also make you feel good inside. This story isn’t to boast about helping a homeless person, it is to show that when we help others, it will make them happy as well as yourself. So I am encouraging you to help someone in need, trust me, it’ll make their day a little brighter, and I can guarantee it’ll make your day as
When we sacrifice our time to help someone in need, whether it is a great or small need, we become a part of their life and can help alleviate heavy burdens. We feel good for looking outside ourselves and contributin...
People have started to make remarks of the resemblance between dogs and their owners, and from what we have found, it is usually noticed at dog shows and from strangers passing by in the streets. There are two factors that could make the owner and the dog similar. One would be people selecting dogs that are like them, and people who select dogs which features start to change and become similar to them over time. As a comparison to animals and their dogs, there is evidence that couples look physically similar after 25 years rather than people who have recently been wed. In the research we have conducted, we have found that purebred dogs have a greater resemblance than people who own non purebred dogs.
You would probably expect that when a pet store says you have all females, you have all females, but alas, not with us. Of course it shouldn’t be that bad, right? Most animals only have like, five babies, well what if I were to tell you we have three mice, two of which are female. If you’re sticking with the previous sentence that would only be about, ten, babies, about that, mice have on average seven too, I don’t know, thirty babies. You can do the math yourself, for now I’ll just tell you the story.
Everyone should regularly perform small acts of kindness because kindness spreads, has an extraordinary impact, and is scientifically proven to help the health and happiness of people who act kindly
Aesop once stated, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” In this time period, many people around the globe only focus on their life, and they do not focus on lifting others up. Kindness is one word that can change lives, even when the person that shows kindness doesn’t even know the impact they are making. One act of kindness does not appear to be very important, but every act makes an impact. The world is full of hatred, war, and terrorism, but anybody can start to make a change. Some reasons that any act of kindness has an impact include other people needing positivity, the start of a chain reaction, and the benefit of other people in the world.
Everyday we wake up and prepare ourselves to face the day ahead. Some people find this simple task to be a very bothersome one, others not so much. Everyone sees life in a different light, and that’s what makes us, us. Compassion is a trait that many people tend to dismiss, for the simple fact of it is seen as a weakness, because of this I try my hardest to be the most compassionate person that I can be. Treating every person that you meet with kindness is very important because you never know what a person may be going through, or what a person has already been through.
One stereotype that I had mentioned was that owners may act selfish. I had assumed that they would not be willing to help others even if they saw them struggling. After just one observation I could see that I was mistaken. The first class I sat in on was only the second class of the session. So although I was not able to see the difference from the first class to the next, Moriah explained that they had already grown closer “they cheer each other on, support each other. Create a pack mentality. You'll notice as class goes on the they will get closer and lean on one another more”. One of the most important focuses in the class is repetition. Going over skills learned in previous weeks, I noticed that the owners would start to help one another.
