“The Glass Floor” was made in 1967, was King's first professional short story. He even wrote a screenplay for the movie “Maximum Overdrive” in 1985. King doesn't just stick to one genre of writing like other authors. One of the companies that accepted king book was Doubleday & Co. In the spring of 1973 the company published the novel “Carrie”.
Stephen King has gotten many awards for his work, just like “The Shawshank Redemption” that became a smash hit. “The Shawshank Redemption” was based on a story that King wrote in 1994. King is most known for the novel “The Shining”. This novel became number one in the New York Times best seller list in 2013. “The Shining” has been turned into a movie like many of Kings work. King even won a horror award in 2005 at the Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival.
