In recent times, there is a revolutionary proliferation of computers in almost every industry. The technology’s blitzkrieg surge penetrated into all domains like Business, Industry, Education, Telecommunications, Medical, Entertainment and in the domestic front. This evolution of computer was more imminent in my environment while I was growing up. I have had an opportunity to work on different projects related to web technologies, mobile technologies and healthcare solutions. My undergraduate study helped me gain a comprehensive knowledge about different facets of software engineering. I wish to pursue my graduate studies in software engineering as an initial step to lay a solid platform to embark on my long-term research interest. Throughout my undergraduate study, I was interested in learning new technologies. While doing projects, it helped me as I could use the technology which supported in efficiently solving the problem at hand. I did a project that involved developing a web portal to evaluate the code written by the students. I used the web services of a code evaluating site called “ideone.com”. The project helped me understand the concepts of Java, web services and databases. I have built an organization management visual tool for a hospital infrastructure which had an interactive drag and drop interface. Going further, with a team of four, I participated in a national level programming competition conducted by Software Technological Parks of India and Indian Maritime University where I got a chance to implement my C# skills in solving fictional maritime issues. We stood second in that competition. It was in the beginning of my third year of undergraduate study, I got a chance to associate with an international community ... ... middle of paper ... ... future goals, which I readily accepted and will be continuing until I join my graduation. I feel that, there exists a perfect synergy between my interests and what Purdue offers in __. In particular, I am highly interested in the research work of ______. The joy I derived from creating something that is used by a lot of people to help them perform complex calculations,made me realize the power of computing in its true sense. It was also in my graduation that I developed an immense interest in programming languages such as Java, C++ and also web technologies such as ASP, JSP, and XHTML.
A fascination for Science & Technology and keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering. The power of research and delivering it for the growth of Society is what makes me interested in the technology side of science. I choose to major Computer science Engineering with an intense urge to delve into this challenging field. During my under graduation program I learned the various fundamentals of Computer science Engineering which together with practical course works reinforced my interest.

I took up Computer Science and Engineering as my discipline in Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, one of the premier institutes in India. My undergraduate education has been a great learning and enriching process for me. It exposed me to all the core areas of Computer Science like operating systems, database management systems, networks and network security, data structures, algorithms and software engineering. These courses have given me a good foundation in the core concepts. My interest lies in Database Management, Programming Languages, Theory of Computation, and Software Engineering. I am fully acquainted with the fast growing subjects like Object Oriented Programming, Analysis and Design. On the other hand, the intensive laboratory classes exposed me to a fascinating world of experimentation. It was here that I discovered the qualities of perseverance and diligence in myself. I feel that these courses have done a lot to prepare me for my future studies and research work.
Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry.
