My whole life I have heard it said that you need to choose a career and pursue higher education in order to provide for the needs and wants for oneself and your family. I am an individual determined to do that. I know that I could do this at UW-La Crosse. I want to attend UW-La Crosse because I really like the academic programs, the campus, the activities, and the clubs. I also like the size of the school because I want to meet a lot of people. Academics are very important to me when considering what school to go to. I know UW-La Crosse has many majors and minors that interest me, and are very strong programs. I am interested in the Business and Biology majors, and I know I will be very successful in either program I choose. I also know that
I always wanted to attend to an important college. To me, that meant that the smartest people has to be there and one that had good reputation. After research and research I understood that my life have changed since I got to the United States. As an international student my opportunities were less, since I do not qualify for financial aid. My choices were less, but i realized that that does not stop me in going to college and prepare myself to be someone in life. I do not need to be at the most important college to prove myself how worth it I am. A two-year community college would let me prepare myself for much less cost and with great opportunities. Glendale Community College a small college would be the best place for me as a student. It is a place where I can get more attention for the teachers and I could pursue my career in medicine.
...Selecting a college to attend was a lengthy process. I applied to four different schools. I outweighed all the pros and cons of each college. The ultimate goal was to persevere and graduate with a degree. As a high school student, I think I found Ohio State appealing because of all the hype that surrounded it. Once I came to the conclusion that I wanted to go into the medical field, I realized that I needed to be in an atmosphere where I could maintain my focus. Nonetheless, the most consequential influencing factor was regarding finances. Case was extremely expensive but I received a substantial amount of financial help compared to Ohio State. In addition, I was fortunate to obtain a work study job that helped with living expenses. I knew that college would not be easy especially given Case’s reputation. In the end, I am confident I made the correct decision.

I chose to enroll at the University of Chicago-Illinois because they are one of the leading universities in MS Health Informatics. That fact that UIC is one of the best universities in nursing informatics shows how much commitment the University has on their students to succeed. I do not have any doubt that UIC will give me the best education that will be prepare me in the future to become skilled in Health
I choose Truman State University because of its affordability, student-faculty ratio, small class sizes and commitment to academic excellence. When I arrived at Truman, I did not know what I wanted to study. This was beneficial because of the liberal studies program, which requires students to take certain subjects outside their major in order to create a more well-rounded individual that can critically think from many different facets of knowledge. After taking the required Public Speaking course I was intrigued with language and its functionality in everyday life which led me to major in communication and became a McNair Scholar. The McNair Program is a program that prepares underrepresented or first-generation students achieve their doctorate
From a very young age, I have been fascinated with the idea of selling items and making money for myself. My first entrepreneurial venture was at the age of ten. A friend and I sold toffees to our neighbours for ten cents each. For a very long time, I have been determined to seek an education and career in the field of business. I have decided to obtain my undergraduate degree from the Schulich School of Business as it will provide me with the best opportunities for my future.

I come from a smaller city and we have a severe lack of diversity, and I know I want to go to a college that prompts diversity of not only people, but character and ideas. Although a bigger school I saw that Wisconsin-Madison's class size average was 29 students and heard from a Madison alumni that the school was reasonably tight knit which but my worries to rest. Also, University of Wisconsin-Madison's location could not be better. I visited the city of Madison not long ago and took a fancy to the city. The city was vibrant and exciting and seemed booming with opportunity and interesting developments all around. Most importantly, Madison is not far away from northern Illinois, and anyone with a worried mother would know that location is an essential factor. Lastly, I took a liking to the plethora of student activities offered at Madison. I found many of the clubs and activities that were
There were many factors that appealed to me about the University of Wisconsin-Madison even before I stepped foot on campus. The urban location right in Madison. The two hour drive away from my home. The fact that the school is one of the top public universities in the country. But there was so much more that I learned and experienced on my campus tour that made my application to this school a reality.
Admission to Ryerson School of Interior Design has been a vision for me since before high school. Capturing what you are passionate about in life and what fulfills you both personally and professionally has always been my goal. Throughout my young life, I have been fascinated by visual stimulus, from architectural structures, museums, home décor shows/blogs/magazines/stores, I knew that I wanted to contribute to this industry. In planning the next step from high school, I applied to Universities that seemed to fit what I was supposed to do, and an amazing opportunity came my way to live in Paris for a year, go to school and work as an International model. Now, I am ready to execute the next step and follow what I know I want and what I will
My interest to attend UMD dates back to when I heard my brother say, “If you get in, you are in the best school in the state!” After watching him graduate from College Park in 2008, I had decided that I wanted to attend UMD from then on because of the beautiful campus and diverse environment that welcomes everyone. When I saw my brother walk across that stage, I thought to myself “How great would it be if I walk across that stage one day and make my parents proud?” and ever since I have dreamt of attending UMD. That moment changed my life and to this day I dream of attending UMD to walk across that stage and my family watching me get my degree, just like my brother.
The past two years have been the most meaningful two years of my life. Coming to Syracuse University has really had an unbelievable impact on me. I’ve met so many different people and I truly have enjoyed everything along the way. However, the School of Information Studies has given me so many tools to succeed and I seriously cannot thank the people who have helped me.
In Minnesota I have visited the University of Mankato and Duluth. Out of all them colleges I am leaning towards Mankato or La Crosse. Just because they are both within about 2 to 4 hours from home. I plan on getting my major in international business and my minor in psychology. International business would allow me to travel to different countries and have unique experiences working overseas and meeting new people.
For instance, going to UIC would enable me to support my family at a time of crisis. My grandmother recently passed away from lung cancer, and her absence has taken the biggest toll on my mother; thus, I want to be able to be by her side and support her through her time of mourning. Going away for college is not the best and most logical option for me at this point of my life. My grandfather is also struggling with the absence of my grandmother, her passing has left him feeling lost and helpless, attending UIC would allow me to get a part-time job and humbly help my grandfather who now resides at my mother’s home. Going to UIC would also allow me to stay at home and remain more focused on my studies, on top of that UIC would save me from unnecessary expenses such as living on campus and investing in a food
...e about what colleges or universities that you and I have taken because it also depends on your personality, family circumstances, and literacy. A chance never comes twice; a successful person, who is the right time to capture, makes wise decisions, and plus a little luck. Our lives will not totally change because of a good university or a great community college. Only we can change our lives' status; only we can choose what we want to do; only we can hold our lives on our hands. Studying in a famous or fancy university helps you have a good beginning of your career, but this is not the most important thing in your lives. You might choose the way where you feel comfortable to achieve your target. Don't let the education limit you, you should utilize it to help you climbing to the peak of your career. After all, I always remember that failure is a lesson for success.
