With my undergraduate education completed, I recognize that I am entering a crucial point in my life in which I need to make a decision on how to proceed with my career.
A fascination with the world of science and technology and a desire to become part of it motivated me to delve into the challenging eld of electrical engineering. My undergraduate coursework in physics and mathematics at Siena College educated me in the fundamentals of electrical engineering and reinforced my interest in the subject area. A graduate education in electrical engineering at the University of South Florida will grant me access to the world of science and technology and allow me to fulll my deepest desire to be an electrical engineer.

Frustrated and disappointed with my performance, I re-evaluated my passions and interests and decided to focus my studies on physics and mathematics. I not only excelled in these subjects during my high school education, but I also possessed a keen interest to further explore each topic. I knew immediately I had a penchant towards physics, mathematics, and problem solving. Topics like electricity and magnetism motivated me to learn how to apply this theoretical knowledge in the eld of electrical engineering.
Concentrating my undergraduate study on physics and mathematics exposed me to various courses that included applications like electronic circuit & network analysis, integrated circuits, microprocessors & microcontrollers, matrix analysis, and computer simulation using
MATLAB Simulink. In my Electronics course I engineered a functioning robot as part of my nal evaluation. From my research project with Dr. Michele McColgan during the summer of 2015, I learned to program a Xilinx based ZedBoard using Vivado and MathWorks tools.
This research was especially interesting because I later developed an angle encoder for Siena's
Radio Telescope, VIPER, using the ZedBoard, C++, and Software Development Kit

Along with my studies and research, I also held an electrical engineer intern position at
BR+A Consulting Engineers in New York City during the summer and winter breaks. I applied knowledge from both my graduate and undergraduate courses to preform various tasks such as executing electrical design calculations using SKM Power Tools Software and revising AutoCAD/Revit documents for large-scale architectural projects like the Rockefeller

Disney Parks and Resorts in Orlando, Florida. During my internship, I will be expected to ful ll various assignments, including providing software services for rides, shows and other process control systems being developed and installed in the Disney parks; designing and supervising the fabrication and testing of enhancements and new designs for ride vehicles and systems.

I am currently studying to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Wisconsin, Madison. Presently, I am a team member of Wisconsin Hybrid, a club on campus which converted a Ford Explorer into a hybrid vehicle that runs off electricity and gas. This project has helped me with team cooperation and problem-solving skills. I am very interested in microelectronics and power and want to apply what I learned in the classroom to real-world situations.
With a degree in Electrical Engineering, I hope to be able to make electrical components for robots and prosthetics. I have a passion for automated machines and the interactions between people and machines, so I am hoping to make an impact in the way these

previously I had excelled in school. I decided to major in history, for I had loved to read history
High School has helped me to refine this passion to the field of biological sciences with my particular interest being molecular genetics. My peers called my "crazy" for undertaking all three science subjects in my HSC course, but for me there really was no other choice. I have excelled in biology with a trial exam mark of 97%. Within the component of advanced molecular genetics of this course my mark of 100% reflects the love and passion I feel towards this subject, and I am extremely proud to be ranked number one in a very competitive class of sixteen. While biology has been my favourite subject I have also excelled in Physics and Chemistry ranking first and second in these su...
After get understanding with the basic definition of electrical engineering, it is time to find out that is this major right for me. ' If you enjoy taking things apart, seeing how they work, and then putting them back together again, this major should suit you very well'. Additionally, an engineering degree should be a serious consider...
Ever since I was a child, I have had a great interest for the automotive industry. From car trivia to novel innovations, my innate passion for the automotive industry has always made me research the minutest detail of every vehicle that interested me. Since elementary school I would draw sketches of cars which incorporated technology which were unheard of at that time; novel devices such as electrochromic windshields, HUD displays, and wind turbines which would constantly re-generate electricity for the car. While growing up, my hobbies largely consisted of constructing countless Lego and Meccano sets, and repairing my mom’s 19 year-old car. In middle school, math and science were my favorite subjects: applying science and mathematics to solve real-world problems has fascinated me and I have also taken further steps to reach my goals. By the age of thirteen I devised a scaled model of a heliostat power plant, which successfully powered a light bulb. The mathematics beyond the focus points of parabolic dishes and thermodynamics was very advanced for my age, but I took up the challenge...
My decision to become an electrical engineer was not a decision I took too long ago. It is something that I decided to pursue when I entered a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) high school. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed working with computers and building circuits, and the fact that this career involved many subjects. Doing a lot of research to understand better what it meant to be an Electrical Engineer, I found out that in order to succeed in this career one had to know a little bit of everything. In other words, subjects such as science and math are essential to know if someone wants to be successful electrical engineer. An electrical engineer is someone who finds practical solutions to everyday problems that involve electricity, such as computers, cell phones, among other electrical equipments. In order to create a useful device one must know where to start and this is where science comes in. An electrical engineer must be able to use the scientific method, which means; one must form a procedure, test it out, and write a conclusion. These parts of the scientific method must be written clearly, so that others can recreate and test out a device or project. Math also plays a key role in this area of study, because one must be precise when creating a new device that others are going to use. For example, if one were to create a new type of cell phone one must know a lot of math in order to be able to progr...
Learning is a continuous process and the day that you stop learning is the day that you start decreasing your rewards and lower levels of satisfaction. My ardent desire to acquire knowledge has motivated me to pursue higher studies at graduate level, and to take up a career in research in industry. I have taken this decision after carefully considering my academic background, profound interest in research and strong aptitude for problem solving. Banking on an excellent academic record coupled with a keen interest in the ever-growing field of science and technology motivated me to take up engineering.
When I was 8 year old I scored 100 out of 100 marks in Mathematics and when my class teacher announced the results whole class stood and clapped, I can never forget that overwhelming moment in my life, I was so happy and contended, and that day I understood the importance of education in life. My parents couldn’t study after high school due to financial restrictions but they always taught me importance of higher education to imagine and pursue goals. My family has been extremely supportive throughout the journey and has constantly motivated me to realize my potential to the fullest extent by providing conducive environment for studying and encouraging me in my endeavors. Throughout my high school, I enjoyed two things: Mathematics and Extra-curricular activities, these activities helped me to gain team skills, stress management skills and social relationship skills. My enthusiasm and the strongly committed teachers I have encountered in my life have attributed to my success in math and science. Prior to going onto ninth grade, my Math classes dating back from middle school were never mentally straining. Math appealed to me because in eighth grade, my math teacher, Dr. Christopher, would encourage her class by recognizing our achievements with small rewards such as candies and ice cream passes during lunch. Her actions sparked my interest in math. I have a natural regard for math and science. By breaking down math problems step by step, I can better understand them. ...
