2. Which of the above were most meaningful/memorable and why? List and describe up to 3.

Out of the organizations I have listed, I would pick HOSA: Future Health Professional as my most meaningful/memorable because I have been

involved in the organization as a member for all four years of high school and have competed at state and national conferences. The friendships that I have made, the experiences that I had, and the skills that I have gained through the four years in the organization have taught me what health care is all about and how I can contribute my knowledge and skills to medicine. During the conferences, I met students across the state and the nation that share similar career goals and have the desires to become excellent leaders. Till today, I am still friends with some of them and I admire that they are becoming successful or reaching for it in their own ways. Every experience that I have had that relates to the organization has impacted me in some aspects. Within each experience, I learned new knowledge and gain skills that I would not get anywhere else. As a sophomore in high school, I also got the chance to be elected as the secretary of my high school club. During my term, I had duties that I have to fulfill. Although there were mistakes that I made, I learned from them and made sure not to do them again. With the success and failures I have had throughout the four years experience, I would not trade it for anything else because I developed as a person through hours of preparation, numerous of presentations, and the idea of competing for the top place each year. If I can describe my entire experience in one word, it would be rewarding; because I got the opportunities to grow as an individual and learn about my strengths/weakness by applying concepts and skills in real life situations.

The organizations that I would like to continue to participate at UNR are HOSA: Future Health Professional and Medical Reserve Corps if possible. The reason why I want to do HOSA: Future Health Professional is because I have grown to love the organization since I first started and don’t want to stop at the high school level. I want to continue to explore different perspectives in the health care in order to know how I can contribute to the medical field more effectively with the knowledge and skills I have. If there is any at UNR or in Reno, I want to participate in Medical Reserve Corp because I want to provide health services when any disasters hit.

Besides the organizations listed above, I might join Honors Ambassadors, Nevada Microbiology Club, and Nevada Taekwondo Club. As a honor student, I want to be part of the Honors Ambassador to promote the program to students on the benefits of the honors program. Observing what kind of jobs the ambassadors dose on a monthly basis, I want to contribute my efforts as well. I want to join the Nevada Microbiology Club because my major is Molecular Microbiology and Immunology and I believed that this club will help me be attach to the concepts more so I could excel in the advanced courses. I want to Tawkwondo because I believe it would help me release stress from school and encourage me to built confident and strength in myself.

Currently, I am in Circle K International and HOSA. The reason why I chose to join Circle K International because I love to do services within the community, learn about fellowship, and apply my leadership skills. Right now, I am the finance chair for Single Service Committee in Circle K International. I join HOSA because I want to continue my HOSA experience from high school and experience the HOSA life at the collage level.

a. A Club Advisor can be anyone who is an employee of the University as Administrative Faculty, Academic Faculty, Academic Faculty, or Classified Staff. The student needs the staff’s email, phone, mailstop, or name.

a. Requests are divided into three tiers based on the audience served by the funds, the location of the event being funded, and the natural of the items to be purchased.
b. The Tier 1 is for requests to find on campus programming activities and events by clubs and organizations. Events must be open to all undergraduate students of the University. All events must be actively marketed to students outside the organization’s standard demographic. The funding cap is $4000 per semester.
c. The Tier 2 is for request to fund direct expenses related to travel. Travel must be in some way to enrich leadership, academic, professional, or athletic development towards the club’s mission statement. The funding cap is $2000 per fiscal year.
d. The Tier 3 is for on-campus events that enrich leadership, academic, professional, or athletic development for a select group of students that works towards achieving the club’s mission statement. a. The major difference between the Panhellenic Councl and Interfraternity Council is their purpose of serving the students at the university. The goal of Panhellenic association shall develop and maintain fraternity life and Interfraternity relations at high level of accomplishments, while the Interfraternity Council shows a primary loyalty to the University of Nevada, Reno.
