Yesterday morning, 7 year old twin brothers were kidnapped from the children’s play area behind St. Paul Hotel when four gunmen shot and killed their body guard. That evening their parents received a call from an unknown number asking for ransom.
“This is the third major kidnapping of the year,” said Montreal Police Chief, Edward Zinfer, “But this one takes the cake, its the most tragic. We are hoping to have the boys back safe and sound soon.” The police are unaware of who has kidnapped them, but there is a video recording from a security camera from behind the hotel where the kidnapping took place. The video shows footage of four large men dressed up in black gloves, shoes, shirts, black ski masks, and camo pants who kidnapped the boys.

There is a link on the newspaper website to the video if readers want to watch. This is just a little of what has happened to these poor families. The video starts out with the boys playing and then around 10:41 am it is seen that the guard colapses from a gun shot. The previously mentioned, four men dressed in camoflauge pants, long black sleeve t-shirts, black gloves, black shoes, and black ski masks enter the view of the camera.
They immediately pick up Bryan and hold a rag to his face assumed to be soaked in chloroform while Richard ran away, but two men chase him and get a hold of him. They then all go into the back of a white van with no license plates and drive off. The video then ends at 10:45 am.
“We haven’t been able to contact the family of the guard to send our condolences, but when the phone call came our hearts dropped through the floor.” Explained Robert Bennett, the grandfather of the twins. “We all hoped the phone call was his family, but instead it was a recorded message asking for 5 million dollars for the release of the twins. Unfortantely our family doesn't have that much money so we have started a GoFundMe.com page where you can donate money to help us get the boys back.”
“We are unsure we can contact the kidnappers,” says Detective Philp Jones, “the recorded message was made through a disposable cell phone that was later found in the dumpsters at St. Paul Hotel. We hae done a full search at the hotel but we haven’t been able to find much. If you know something or saw something, please don’t hesitate to call our anonymous tip line. We hope to have the family all back together sooner rather than
later.” The family is in desperate need of money and so workers at the Montreal Times Newspaper donated 5 thousand dollars to help pay the kidnappers. There is also a walk/run to be held to raise money, there is more information on the newspaper website.
On the 28th August 1993, Stephen and Helen Gilham became the victims of murder in their own home, located in Woronora, which they shared with their two sons, Christopher (25) and Jeffrey (23). At the hands of Jeffrey Gilham, Stephen, Helen and Christopher Gilham were murdered brutally by means of stabbing, although Jeffrey only admitted to the murder of his brother Christopher. Jeffrey maintained the series of events that it was in fact Christopher that murdered Stephen and Helen, and that he had discovered Christopher holding the murder weapon, a knife, and in a blind fit of rage stabbed Christopher a total of 17 times. Gilham’s uncle believed otherwise, stating that it was Jeffrey who committed the initial murder and not Christopher.
On the way over to burglarize the home, the group of 5 juveniles rode their bikes and stop on the way to feed some ducks, then dumped their bikes in some bushes. At the last minute, two of the five juveniles took off. Leaving behind Kane, who didn’t want to be labeled a scaredy-cat, and 19 year old Alvin Morton and 17 year old Bobby Garner. The group of juveniles expected the house to be empty, but found 75 year old Madeline Weisser, and her son 55 John Bowers were in fact at home.
“He grabbed Jacob and he told me to run fast as I could into the woods or else he would shoot,” (qtd. in Murphy) was how Aaron Larson described the moment he was last by his best friend’s side. On October 22, 1989, Jacob Wetterling was kidnapped a couple blocks from his home in St. Joseph, Minnesota. He, along with his abductor, have yet to be discovered. There have been thousands of leads as to who may be his abductor, but there fails to be enough evidence to convict any potential suspects. Initially, reported vehicles were used to search for Wetterling’s abductor, but after new findings in 2003, the investigation shifted towards local St. Joseph residence. ...ased the brakes until coming to a complete stop. Juan and Glenn, knowing where they were going, went to the door leaving the dad alone to get the money. Upon entering the cabin, Juan asked him for the money. He replied quickly that first he needs to see his daughter. The children came out. There was a sudden movement by Glenn which attracted the attention on him long enough for Marianne’s father to pull out the pistol. He pistol whipped Juan and held the gun towards Rita. Rita suddenly started screaming in Spanish asking where Buck was. They told her he was dead and ordered her to put her hands above her head. He handed the gun to Glenn motioning him to stay here and watch the two as he went for the cops and took the others.
“We're still in total shock,” said Kerry Gallagher, 26, the daughter of the suspect, who lives with him in Levittown. “We don't even know what to do. We don't want him coming back.”
In November of 1980 A young girl, 12 years old, named Christine Weller went missing. She would later prove to be one of Olson's first murder victims. Christine was abducted from her home in Surrey, BC. Her mutilated body ...
Alicia Pereira was the first. In 1972, five-year-old Alicia disappeared after her brother left her alone in a hotel lobby. One minute she was playing around, and the next she was gone. Rand was the prime suspect in this case. Although they never proved Andre killed her, little Alicia was never seen again. There isn't much to his next victim. Her name was Audrey Lyn Nerenberg, and she was 18 years old. Just like Alicia, Audrey was never seen again after the day she went missing in 1977. In 1981, Holly Ann Hughes, a seven-year-old girl did not return home after she went with a friend to get candy from a local store. Andre Rand saw Holly at the store, drove by her in his Volkswagen, pulled her in, and drove off. Holly’s parents filled out a Missing Person’s report. Unfortunately, they never got their daughter back. Why did Rand leave her friend? Who knows why. Tiahease Jackson, in 1983, was 11 years old when she went missing. She did not return home after her mother sent her to get groceries. Tiahease was last seen on August 14th, 1983. This was 12 days after Andre was released from a previous prison sentence. Like Alicia, Audrey, and Holly, Tiahease was never seen again. Henry was his oldest victim, at the age of 22. In 1984, Henry Gafforio disappeared. Some say, Henry was “slow.” Not physically slow, but mentally slow. He was last seen with Rand at a local diner. Now this next
He entered the home of Evelyn Miroth. She was babysitting her infant nephew, David, and her son, Jason. Also in the home was Dan Meredith who was watching the children while Evelyn took a bath. On his way inside, he shot and killed Dan and proceeded to steal his wallet and car keys. He then followed Jason under his mother’s bed to shoot and kill him as well. He also shot and killed David on his way to kill Jason. He then found Evelyn in the bathtub and shot her in the head. He drug her body onto a bed and raped the corpse while drinking blood from cuts he placed on her neck. He then ejaculated an unusual amount of times on her and then stabbed her anus several times. All of her blood was drained into a bucket and he drank all of it. A girl knocked on the door, supposedly on a play date with Jason, and startled Richard. He fled the scene in Dan’s car and left trails of shoe and hand prints to his home. He even took Dan’s body with him to consume later.
The men of Reserve Police Battalion 101 were just ordinary men, from a variety of backgrounds, education, and age. It would appear that they were not selected by any force other than random chance. Their backgrounds and upbringing, however, did little to prepare these men for the horrors they were to witness and participate in.
Update: Investigators arrest the Giver in connection to the recent disappearances of Jonas Kabir and Gabriel Khan. Chief Inspector Ronas Chaudhry declined to comment on the arrest. On August 23rd, 1973, in Stockholm, Sweden, four hostages were held captive after a botched bank robbery and kept there for six days. Throughout these six days the four hostages grew a strange bond with their captor. The captor allowed his captives to call their family, kept them warm when they were cold and even let them out of the vault they were kept in when they said they were claustrophobic. This strange relationship that grew in this short amount later became studied and was widely known as Stockholm syndrome. It has been looked at as one of the smartest survival methods for kidnappings. Stockholm syndrome can be seen in many cases around the world when it comes to kidnapping and happens to one in every four kidnappings that occur, states

The year is 2000. On a dark, wet, rainy night in Detroit, you could hear the sound of chains rattling while kids were playing basketball on their makeshift hoop. In the apartment right next to their basketball court, you could hear the blended sounds of yelling, of televisions, and of music. If you listened closely, you could hear two men planning to break into a house in apartment 21. This apartment’s decoration was mostly from African descent, as if they were from Africa themselves. The peacock feathered clock read nine twenty P.M. “If we come in through the front door as salesmen, o-o-or maybe acting as a neighbor”, Sterling anxiously stuttered to his partner Forest. “If we did that we would have to take the whole family as hostages, man.
and that everyone would want to know them. Thus the boys decide to go forth and try to find the body. The boys pack their belongings up and all tell their parents that they are sleeping over one of the others house and the next day they are going to the drag races. So they meet up downtown and get ready to embark on their journey. Gordy and Chris meet up together first and Chris shows the .45 pistol that he borrowed from his old man, who was probably too drunk to notice. But while holding Gordy asks if its loaded and Chris tells him it isnt. But when he pulls the trigger it fires. They take off from behind the building where they were. They go to meet the other two guys and set off on their journey.
The hostage will likely be blindfolded very soon after the abduction so that he can’t identify any of the abductors or any landmarks that might give him an idea of where he is headed and might eventually be confined. If a hostage can’t identify his abductors and
