McKichan v. St. Louis Hockey Club, L.P. was a personal injury case filed on March 17, 1998, in which the plaintiff claimed that the defendant club was vicariously liable for their employee’s actions that caused the plaintiff’s injury. The injury in question occurred in Peoria, Illinois during an IHL game on December 15, 1990 between the Peoria Rivermen and the Milwaukee Admirals. While the St. Louis Hockey Club technically wasn’t playing in the game, they can be held liable for the injury, as the Peoria Rivermen are a subsidiary of the club. After the injury, the defendant’s player received a game misconduct and a suspension. The player would also go on to settle with the plaintiff out
America’s Team Will the real “America’s Team” please stand up? This term is widely used throughout the media when referring to the Dallas Cowboys. “America’s Team” was first coined some 40 years ago while introducing them for a feature film by the legendary sport writer Bob Ryan. In the following years, because of their success and mass media exposure they were a team that America as a nation could identify with ,so the name stuck. The Cowboys since those days has regressed into a very mediocre team who only looks for moral instead of actual Super Bowl victories.
Hair's first chapter described the birthplace of Robert Charles, Copiah County, Mississippi. Charles was born not long after the Civil War ended. The next chapter introduced the reader to the condition of politics in the South. The chapter described the voting process in Copiah and involved individuals being threatened or murdered if they were suspected to vote against Democrats. The following chapter discussed black migration, either to Liberia or somewhere out of the South. Many whites and blacks alike supported the concept of migration. Charles also moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi and worked for the Louisville, New Orleans and Texas Railroad. This chapter also included Charles' first gunfight, while he and his brother, Henry Charles attempted to recover Robert's stolen pistol. In the next chapter, Charles returns to Copiah County under the alias Curtis Robertson. It was necessary for Charles to avoid being associated with the shooting he and his brother were earlier involved in. Shortly thereafter Charles was forced to flee Copiah after not pa...

women long-distance racers were more likely to report a past history of an eating disorder than the control population and that reported in the general population. We cannot say that running was responsible for the development of the eating disorder. It may be that running can prevent or control eating disorders. High achieving, disciplined, organized women with a history of an eating disorder may be attracted to long-distance running. The method of defining a case was based simply on the respondent replying affirmatively to the questions “Do you have a history or bulimia/” and/or “Do you have a history of anorexia nervosa?” This method of case definition is based on a history of such a disorder and does not necessarily reflect an active problem.
I went into my junior spring soccer season kind of sad, my past coach, wasn't going to be our team coach this year. I wasn't really depressed though, because I had tons of friends that were playing this year. One of the great things about soccer is that it is not a school-sanctioned sport. To me this said that I was able to play another season of soccer with my friends from Paonia and Hotchkiss without the normal High School rivalry between these schools. Year after year, the schools pulled pranks on each other, sometimes nothing big, but sometimes something big. I remember my freshman or sophomore year, when a few guys I knew went over to Paonia and painted their skylight in their commons. When the sun shined into the skylight, it reflected a big HHS onto the floor, talk about a cool prank, but hey they got a free vacation but the school had to pay a ton of money to clean it up.
OUCH! My leg crippled with pain. I tried to shuffle my way to the window, but it was excruciating. As my senses kicked back in, I felt pains shooting up and down my body. Peering down at my hands I screamed. My hands were covered in cold, congealed blood.
