Crafting up a good time in Nashville at the Southern Brewers Conference I just got back from the 1st annual Southern Brewers Conference #SBC2016 in Nashville, TN. I’ve been to Nashville a couple of times before and when I saw that the South East was hosting a beer conference there, I knew I wanted to attend. I got to Nashville on Wednesday afternoon, threw my bags in the hotel room, and then headed out to find some local craft. Hope you’re ready to hear a lot about Breweries, the conference, and Nashville… The shuttle dropped me off near Broadway, which is the downtown strip for music, food, tourism, and shopping. I popped into the Brewhouse ***maybe say what the Brewhouse is? restaurant/bar/brewpub or is it like World of Beer?*** (which had a huge draft …show more content…
However, I didn’t want to miss the keynote address at 8:30 lead by Spike Buckowski, Co-Owner of Terrapin out of Athens, GA (a long time favorite brewery of mine). Spike’s speech was good and the rest of the congregation (or audience instead of congregation?) agreed, as I spoke with different people afterwards on the subject. The trade show was about to begin and classes would soon start at 10:30. I didn’t want to miss the first class, “Selling Craft Beer in the Nascar Nation.” For several years, I was an alcohol sales rep for a distributor and I was very familiar with the challenges this topic faced. The classes were very informative. Every class was different and all the presenters for the classes I was able to attend were well informed. Some classes had panels of presenters with a few different people from various areas of the craft industry. I thought that was a very informative way to get several different perspectives on the same topic at once. Some classes were more fun and lighthearted, while others were more direct and matter-of-fact. Each angle had its purpose and was used well. You can find the full schedule of classes
The company launched an initiative collaborating with the “Lyft”, which will provide free rides for drunk customers [8]. This indicates the amount of dedication the company has towards its customers. It also provides tours to customers across the 12 flagship breweries in the United States [9] and would also help customers with samplers. Any company that values its customers would become a great success and Anheuser Busch has proved this again. It also values its employees making sure every one of them feels like an owner and everybody would work as considering the results to be personal [10]. All these put together has helped the ANHEUSER BUSCH to brew beers that are loved by their customers and in making it the leader of its domain of

Forked River should learn advanced brewing technologies from Molson Coors to increase production volumes, improve product quality and reduce manufacturing
In the novel Native Son by Richard Wright, the final plea of Mr. Max regarding the trial of Bigger Thomas is very important as it encompasses the main theme of oppression and its importance to the United States on a monumental scale. Mr. Max analyzes the life of Bigger Thomas in the way the author intends it to be seen, as a symbol of the lives of the 12 million African Americans living in the United States at that time. The passionate speech by Mr. Max covers the theme of blindness, and how the white populace uses it to shield themselves from guilt. Also, he uses an extended metaphor to depict how the ghettos merely fuelled the oppression and crime of the city. Similarly to the containment of the blacks in ghettos he mentions the lack of expression and freedom, which connects to important symbols mentioned earlier in the novel. The passionate and urgent tone to the speech also shows promise for the future as Max makes his heartfelt speech in hopes of change for an oppressed people.
In the Ted Talk, “My stroke of insight”, the speaker Jill Bolte Taylor, a neuroanatomist had undergone a stroke affecting her left hemisphere. During this process she was able to experience her brain deteriorating slowly and she was able to study it. She explains how she wanted to become a brain researcher because of her brother’s brain condition, schizophrenia. During the TedTalk she also explained her whole experience, including what it felt like, her emotions, and the world around her while having a stroke as well as the difficulties that she had encountered. Jill explains this experience as a tremendous gift.
We reached Montreal at 7:30 that evening and secured dockage at the Royal St Lawrence Yacht Club. We took a cab to dinner at the Airport Hilton. I have very little recollection of that stop or the setting. It did, however, mark the completion of the first leg of our four-leg journey.
An evaluation of whether or not to launch Mountain Man Light. I will explore the pros and cons of creating a light version of the brew and other strategic options for growth if this brand extension is not launched or if the launch is unsuccessful. I will demonstrate that launching a light beer product shows promise for improved profit through 2010, but that another strategy should be under development during that time frame if MMBC wants to remain competitive for the long term.
The arrival to Manhattan was like an entry to a whole new world: from the sea, its breezes, color, and landscapes, to the heart of the city beating louder than ever at the Whitehall Terminal. I could smell New York’s bagels in Battery Park with a mixture of the most relaxing scents: the coffee people were holding while walking down the streets, the old walls of Castle Clinton ...
As I planed to take this class, I thought this course would be like all other general education courses. I believed that it would be of little use to me. However, after attending the first class, my view has changed completely. I applied each and every theory to my life.

The coffee bar transforms into a beer/wine bar at 5 pm. The bar will have the same relaxing elegant vibe, rather than a loud one that is mostly seen in a regular bar. We will have a fine selection of affordable wine. There will also be craft beers along with Bud Light Platinum. We will arrange occasional special nights when we will bring live acoustic music and give out special offers for the night. The customers we will attract are a little more sophisticated than usual rowdy people that a bar tends to have.
Life presents a wide array of obstacles as well as opportunities, and it is important to be prepared to take on whatever it is that life has to offer. In his Harvard Commencement Address, Will Ferrell reinforces this idea into the 2003 graduating class of the prestigious Harvard University as they prepare to move on to do greater things. His comedic approach is successful due to his ability to evoke feelings of laughter from his audience while also making them realize that they are entering a new stage of life. Although Ferrell is speaking directly to the class of 2003, anyone who listens to or who views his speech will experience humor in an otherwise serious event, and they will reflect on their own life or envision their future. I have discovered a lot about myself in general and how to deal with many issues for myself and others. I learn to think more critical in the class and in the real world as well. This course has helped me overcome my fear of worrying. I was unsure of myself when I first start class, but I quickly learn to understand myself and other people behavior by looking at my own self first that meant on the inside and outside. I have always been goal-oriented and generally known what I want out of life. This course has helped me to know myself better. It has taught me a valuable skill that I can apply at work with the students and in the master’s degree program. I have found that I like online education, and I know that I can achieve my goals if I work hard enough. This class forced me to become more organized. Through the various assignments, I have mastered the use of technology. I learned to communicate through discussion question with my classmates and instructor.
In terms of Personal Development I feel that the course has helped me to develop the skills I need to improve my grades, and to build my confidence.
I believe it was the interaction that I enjoyed the most considering the more we participate in the lesson the more we can ask question and learn more things about the subject matter. It wouldn’t be the same without communication between my colleagues in the classroom. Both the presentation visuals and the instructor’s knowledge about the subject matter helped a lot when we had to remember the information. It is interesting to learn from the powerpoint however the instructor provided her visuals of when she went to that specific place and filled us in with extra information. The extra information added more into the interesting subject at hand. Some details from the chapter I have reviewed in this class I did knew about like the art and artifacts. I am taking Art Appreciation this semester which adds to the reason of why I know about those certain topics. However, overall this course has taught me a lot about the past and it is
