Powerful, strong, skillful, and extraordinary. Can you think of anyone that possesses all of these character traits? I mean, other than super heroes, I cannot think of one. So, what makes a fictional character so interesting anyway? And more importantly, what makes us so inclined to idolize a perfect super hero? Does it not make us compare ourselves to unrealistic characteristics, leading to defeat and not accepting ourselves as humans?

First off, let's have a look at some of the famous American superheroes that are circling our worlds media today.

The identity of this hero has been formed on wealth, having high tech vehicles and gadgets that help create a 'hero" identity. He is not immortal, nor can he fly. Bruce Wayne (Batman) is just like any ordinary person. In fact, he's got more human-like traits than any other famous hero, which in my mind, makes him to be one of the most astonishing.

Firstly, similar to the majority of our population today, theories suggest Wayne suffers from a mental illness called post-traumatic stress disorder. Having witnessed the murder of both his parents at such a young age, he is constantly reminded of this by flashbacks that experiences from time to time. This has definitely shown to have a large impact on his life as a whole, like it would for anyone. Mental illness controls the life of so many every day and it is very common for those impacted to feel insecure and inexpressible about it.
