The ultimate Spider-Man
My all-time favorite superhero remains to be Spiderman. Spiderman is an American superhero created by writer- editor Stan Lee and Writer- artist Steve Ditko, and published by Marvel Comics. He is purely a fictional character as is the norm with most superhero stories. He is one of the most popular and commercially successful superheroes of all times and has appeared in countless forms of media including several animated and live action television series, newspaper comic strips, series of films, cartoons, novels, comics, records, video games, coloring books and children’s books.

According to the theory, the ultimate boon is an achievement of the goal of the quest. It is what the person went on the journey to get. All the previous steps serve to prepare and purify the person for this step, since in many myths the boon is something superior like the elixir of life itself, or a plant that supplies immortality, or the Holy Grail. This step was precisely followed and executed by the director. Peter successfully devices the lizard's plans and manages to defuse them. Peter eventually disperses an antidote cloud that restored the victims to normal. By doing this, peter not only displays his physical abilities that he acquired but also shows his intellectual capabilities. This means that the hero uses his natural god gifted abilities as well as his super powers to defeat the villain. This concept rather develops the theory as it not only follows it but also adds to it. The director not only portrays the super heroes acquired abilities but also those of his own. This differentiates Spiderman from the rest of the super hero movies as peter was not provided with his greatest strength but was born with it. Peter's intelligence and his ingenious scheme to discharge the villain allowed him to achieve his ultimate goal or the ultimate boon. Another difference between the movie and theory was that throughout the movie Peter seemed rather confused and puzzled. Unlike the theory, Peter was not observed of the challenges ahead and his goal remained opaque right till the climax. Initially, the hero set out in revenge to find the person that killed his uncle and bring him to justice. Apparently, Peter's final goal was revenge. But as his journey progressed he was placed in a path of another dimension that ...
The Wayne family returns from the theater on a rainy night, unfortunately though, the shortcut they take is Gotham’s notorious “Crime Alley.” A stray mugger holds up the Wayne Family and takes all of their money, but feeling that it is not enough, he shoots and kills both Dr. Thomas and Martha Wayne. That night, Bruce vows to avenge his parents and wage war against crime. However, unbeknownst to Bruce, his very own father pulls the strings. Thomas connects him with Officer Gordon and Alfred Pennyworth, supplies him with the necessary tools and fabricates his own death in order to harden his son into a crime fighting machine. Bruce is much like Odysseus in his determination to bring justice to criminals and that the heroes’ actions are working for the favor of the masterminds behind them. Athena works through Odysseus in his acts of vengeance to deal out justice because she does not want to shed blood herself.
The entire semester we have talked about how modern superheroes are completely rooted in Greek mythology. We have discussed the comparison between weapons, the end of the world, but most importantly we have talked about the hero’s journey. Every great superhero has an intriguing backstory, as well as an emotional, adventurous journey that keeps the reader coming back for more. J.K. Rowling knew of the lasting effect of myths in modern literature, and she included many hidden comparisons between characters and Greek myths into her own work. When first analyzing the journey of Harry Potter, you may be tempted to compare the character closely to Achilles. Thetis,
Peter’s and Miles’ powers give them both the abilities to accomplish amazing deeds. They both received their powers from Oz- corps serum injected enhanced spiders biting them on the hand. If you were to watch the movie “Spider-man” and then read the poem “Beowulf”, which was written forever ago in the Anglo-Saxon time period you would be surprised if i told you that the heroes in both of these stories took very similar journeys. Well, according to Reg Harris and Susan Thompson, all hero’s journeys follow the same path. The journey has the same three stages, the only difference is the scenery. The poem “Beowulf” was written somewhere between 410 and 1066 by an unknown author. The poem is about a hero, Beowulf, that goes to King Hrothgar’s Hall to save him and his men from the terrorizing monster, Grendel. The movie “Spider-man”, which was directed and produced by Sam Raimi in 2002, is about a boy that is transformed into a human

The coolest thing about Spider-man is that he not only has super mutant abilities, but he is also outstandingly smart and ambitious. Though the concept of a shared universe was not new or unique to comics in 1960, writer/editor Stan Lee, together with several artists including Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, created a series of titles where events in one book would have repercussions in another title and serialized stories would show characters' growth and change. Headline characters in one title would make cameo or guest appearances in other books. Eventually many of the leading heroes assembled into a team known as the Avengers. This was not the first time that Marvel's characters had interacted with one another—Namor the Sub-Mariner and the Original Human Torch had been rivals when Marvel was Timely comics (Marvel Vault)—but it was the first time that the comic book publisher's
