Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions Xbox 360 Review If it seems like Spider-Man has been around forever, that's because he has. Your favorite friendly neighborhood super hero is back, and this time it not 'business as usual'. The Spider-Man franchise is well known for putting out sub-par games ever since its first arrival on the NES.
I wasn't sure what to expect this time around from developer Beenox, but if Batman Arkham Asylum, can come out with a killer game then surely Spider-Man can.
The creator, Stan Lee, welcomes you to the game with an enthusiastic narration that sets an almost eerie mood. Spider-Man is tested almost immediately in an attempt to foil the ever persistent Mysterio from one of his capers in a museum heist. During the robbery, a sacred ancient artifact is shattered and is about to turn old Spidey's world upside down.

The destruction of the ancient relic opens up four different dimensions, all of which have their own version of Spider-Man. Spider-Man of the future 2099, Black (Noir) Spider-Man, Amazing Spider-Man and we can't forget Ultimate Spider-Man. Not only do you get spectacular looking Spidey suits, each version of Spider-Man has its own voice actor, which includes voices from the actual TV franchise and unique superpower.
However, I have to admit that the story line is overdone as it is a typical level to level, boss man to boss man plot, but being able to play as different version of the web slinger more than made up for it. There are also all sorts of interesting challenges throughout each level that roams from the mundane, like unlock able upgrades and some sweet looking Spidey costumes.
The graphics are crisp and vibrant, almost like it was pulled right out of the comic book itself, as for the voice acting, its spectacular, being able to hear voices from the past is a definite
The Spider that bit Miles was an improved version of the arachnid that had bitten Peters. Miles was given the ability to turn invisible or “camouflage” as well as project a bioelectrical charge or “venom blast” which no one seems to fully understand. With their powers they have saved the universe multiple times. After Peter Parker takes a bullet for Captain America, he says “when you grow up, you will be the best out of all of
Frank Castle the Punisher is a self-proclaimed soldier in a war that started with the tragic death of his family and will not end until he has punished those that he deems guilty. As a vigilante the Punisher does what often does not get done in New York City by the justice system. Some see him as a hero while others see him as a criminal who is no better than those who receive his punishments. Having a military background makes his punishments professional and deadly for the highly ranked criminals he targets. The Punisher does not seek to punish small crime doers his targets are they type of people who are ruining New York. These criminals range from drug dealers to distributers of child pornography. The people he targets are the worst of
In addition to, revolutionizing characters, Stan Lee made many of his comic books intricate and interesting compared to simple boring comic books in the past. His intricate comics had to do with his...
The spider woman’s ability to explain what had happened to her also hurts the angel, in that people believe that which can be explained over that which cannot be explained. Garcia Marquez shows the effect of the spider woman on the angel when he writes, “. has already ruined the angels reputation when the woman who had been changed into a spider finally crushed him completely (443).” The falling actions are the angel’s surviving his worst winter and his strengthening. The angel’s departure from the town is the conclusion. “A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings” takes place in a small coastal South American town, in the aftermath of a violent storm.

Anansi is a West African god. Some believe that he was the inspiration for Spider-man. Anansi can appear as either a man or a spider. He is intelligent and plays pranks on everyone. Sometimes his plans get the best of him. For example, one day Anansi was hungry and went to one of his friend house for dinner. When he arrived, dinner was not ready. Anansi was impatient and did not want to wait instead he gave his friend a string from his spider web and advise him to pull on the string when dinner is ready. He then went to another friend house hoping that dinner will be ready for him there too. Unfortunately, his next friend was not ready either so Anansi gave him another string from his web and gave him the same
Every child in the United States has heard or read the Marvel and DC comics books. If you have not then you have probably have heard of their characters like the famous star spangled hero, Captain America, or the Dark Knight himself, Batman. Both Marvel and DC has influenced the children and adults of American in its darkest times. The great wars affected many by its poisonous grasps, and its victims sought comfort with the antidote provided by the marvelous illustrators and writers of comic books. Now their cinematic counterparts are here to inspire the 21st century. The Marvel and DC cinematic universes have similar content, they both have unique characteristics that set them apart.
Superheroes are fictional characters that use their powers to keep people safe. They become heroes and with that, they gain great popularity. Peter Parker who then becomes "Spiderman" is a superhero that has gained his popularity by being unique. Spiderman is one the most popular superheroes today because he is a normal teen, didn't want fame, and changed the way teenagers were portrayed in comics. Peter Parker was a young teenager who was orphaned when he was young.
The more the movie goes on the more these characters change. For example one of the most I think dramatic character change is the character played by Nick Robinson. He went from this free spirited teen to a teenager that does not care for life anymore. His expressions and his personality changes to the environment and fast! So during an apocalypse your first instinct is to run, hide and survive, yet this Cassie decides to make out with the character Evan Walker. What?Yes you can make out who cares how you can be shot at anytime because you love the other person! This is a ridiculous scene I was in the movies shaking my head, and I was making that face like what are they doing. Overall the movie was
We all have heard of Spider Man. He was the average teenager until he was bitten by a radioactive spider. I like Spider Man but I believe there are a lot of things missing in his movies. The police and government are portrayed poorly, as to assisting Spider Man or lack there of. Spider Man goes about doing his own thing, outside of the law. He is something we can all relate to and I believe that is why a lot of people like him. Most people would say they want to be like Spider Man because of his cool super human powers. I believe it would be a lot of hard work, dedication, and a lot of responsibility. Think about this, you would have two lives to live as a completely different person. You would have to keep up good grades, make some money to live on, support your family in one life, then save people, fight crime, and kill villains in the other life. It would be way to overwhelming for me.
Between levels there are also some nice story sequences featuring a host of wacky characters, which drives the plot forward. It’s all pretty goofy, but the story of a lone pilot taking on the world (and more) is entertaining. The game features some nice designs for the various foes you face off against as well, including some big bosses, with our only gripe being the rather strange look of troops. However, this didn’t influence our enjoyment of the game much and it is something that the developers will apparently address in an future update along with the cramped look of the arenas. Speaking of updates, the developers have been rather diligent with these and have already released a few to address concerns from
It has some very good and bad thing in it. One of the best thing in it is the final battle scene where the superheroes collaborate with each other to attend their goal. That promotes ‘unity is strength.’ Another good thing in the movie is the end where they show how the people are honoring and cheering the superheroes while there is a man who didn’t support them by saying they are responsible for the mass destruction of the city. That shows no matter what happens there will always be a negative comment.
Everyone knows Spiderman, the flashy red and blue masked superhero. They all know him by the defying gravity webs that come flying out of his forearm and allow him to jump on walls, climb building, and fight crime. They rarely however look at Peter Parker, the alter ego of the ever so famous Spiderman. He is a very shy, timid, and self-conscious young man. Parker is the everyday nerdy, hopeless romantic teenager.
Among the highest-grossing movies of all time are numerous landmark films, such as Titanic, Avatar, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Taking their place alongside these cultural touchstones are mammoth blockbusters of a new breed: action-packed superhero epics. Each year, the number of superhero movies due for release seems to grow exponentially. One glance at a list of upcoming movies for this year reveals that the box office is absolutely saturated with superhero films. Some highly-anticipated installments feature heroes already well-acquainted with the big screen, such as Captain America and the X-Men, while others are introducing relatively unfamiliar characters to contemporary movie-going audiences, as in the cases of Doctor Strange and
Although still in Alpha, the demo contains a number of preset missions from the final game that serve as a good demonstration of what players can expect. With its crime theme and neo noir setting Vigilantes already stands out from the crowd and the preset missions quickly sucked us in. There is a lot we like about Vigilantes, from the slick looking choreographed melee combat to the way that dialogue choices can give you an advantage before even beginning a battle. Although combat plays a big role in the game we are glad to see that Timeslip Softworks haven’t lost their fondness for a good story either. The demo is available for free and can be tried out by anybody, so we’ll save our thoughts on the visuals and audio for the full review, but suffice to say the game looks like it is shaping up
