they begin punching the windows frantically.
At the command center, agents watching the monitors of the chase are guiding the speeding Mercedes as if he’s playing a real-life video game.
A moment later, the mobsters have broken the windows, now attempting to climb out of the speeding car -- they realize the jump will be a fatal one.
The speeding Mercedes is now blazing at 97 MPH through downtown Berlin, dodging pedestrians, trucks, cars, and motorcycles, a chase of self-driving vehicles capable of traveling over two hundred miles per hour.
The Maserati makes a quick right turn on a dime; the following Mercedes attempts to the same maneuver but is traveling way too fast to make the turn, the tires skid.
The fast-moving car slams into a

“Rhonda?” Tony shouts out remembering the name Butterfly gave him last night.
Butterfly quickly corrects him, “It was Ricki, jackass.” “Then ‘Ricki’ – tell your friends that you’ve made a grave mistake. I have no concept as to what you fools are talking about.”
Butterfly reaches for her revolver – cocks the trigger aims it at his head.
“I have permission to put one in your skull, Tony. -- Comprenda.”
Tony puts two and two together.
“Oh -- so this is the reason you were nasty last night, telling me how you were going to…”
“Hey, that’s enough, don’t make things worse for yourself,” Lucky bellowed to Tony. Butterfly laughs, “Well, it wasn’t because I was madly in love with you,

“If you had come to my hotel room like you offered, you would be saying something completely different this morning -- trust me. I would have made love to you like no other man had ever. You’d have had my name tattooed over hearts on both arms this morning.”
Lucky turns to Butterfly amazed by Tony’s overconfidence, even Winthrop is tickled.
“Wow, think highly of yourself don’t you, Tony -- maybe just a little too much, just saying. The average person in a room about to get killed normally shows a little – conciliatory human behavior. I wanna snap your scrawny little neck now. – You’re just a dick.”
Lucky decides to laugh, “Tony. -- I happen to know for a fact that her current lover is – the King of Pleasure.” Butterfly nudges Lucky to zip it. Winthrop glances to Lucky as to say, wow, you’re tapping that, Lucky nods a yes and with a grin that could lit a theater. He then cleans up his comment to satisfy Butterfly.
“Anyway, none of this matter, Tony, let’s not get carried away -- that wasn’t going to happen. -- It was make-believe -- this is real life. You’re in a room moments from being shot in the head. That’s as real as it gets, my friend.”

“Wes was so confused. He loved and respected his brother. Tony was the closest thing Wes had to a role model. But the more he tried to be like his brother, the more Tony pushed back.” (72) Wes then got his girlfriend pregnant 4 times and dropped out of school to help out with her. With multiple arrests for shooting someone and drug dealing. Tony his "so called role model" helped Wes rob a jewelry store and they were convicted for murdering Sergeant Prothero along the way. Tony's motives were right but he never really got across to Wes with leading him in the right direction. Tony tried to push Wes away from the drug game but Wes was to drawn to it.
Tony does not attend the first meeting but notices how happy his cellmates come back every Monday, so he decides to go the next Monday.
Lupito’s death marks the first scene in the novel in which Tony’s grief is a direct consequence of his knowledge. Tony’s naiveté causes him to take people at their face value, not realizing that they may not be as they seem. Narciso is the town drunk, yet he is the only man on the bridge that maintains his common sense. “’I...
...zi had just been assigned to bring down The Bootery, and Tony was asking the godfather of The Bootery if he could use Jr to kill Ventizzi.
In Bless Me Ultima, Tony embarks on a rocky journey to discover who he is and what he believes. Tony must make the transition from a naïve six year old boy to a mature man. His experiences continually call his basic beliefs into question, and chip away at his innocence. For example, when he witnesses the brutal death of Lupito, he starts to question many ideas; sin, good and evil, punishment, and his faith. He begins to see the world of man as violent and sometimes ruthless, not the friendly, loving world where he had previously resided. He even becomes concerned about his own father's salvation because of Gabrielle's involvement in Lupito's death and begins to see his father as less than perfect. Death continues to haunt him when Narciso, a good man, is killed defending Ultima, while Tenorio, an apparently evil man, is spared. These outcomes are not what he believes should have occurred and yet again, a piece of his innocence is stripped away as he sees life is not always fair. He is beginning to realize that he must define his own beliefs.
sick man of the curse. Tony’s father also tells him that “no greater magic can exist...but
Tony also stands up against a mob for Florence; everyone wants to punish Florence for "not believing in God" (214) and Tony pushes the crowd away and refuses to give Florence the penance that Florence does not deserve. Although Tony knows that he will be given the "Indian torture" (214), he still speaks up for his friend. Anaya often presents Tony as a dependent character, never wanting to "be away from the protection of [his] mother" (51); in fact, he's so close to his mother that it seems that he's going through Oedipus's Complex. Anaya actually does this to increase the impact of Tony's bravery. One might expect Tony to stay in his undercover bushes when Tenorio is standing so close; however, when Tony hears that Tenorio knows the way to kill Ultima, the thought to warn Ultima supercedes his fear and encourages his legs to pick up and run home (255).
“I think that he doesn’t deserve you”. He stared back at me with those eyes that will stick with you way after the conversation is over. “Well I wish I just became a movie star with all the money, and the fame,
“Have you ever noticed how anyone going slower than you is an idiot, and everyone going faster than you is a maniac?” George Carlin once, jokingly asked. However, this is not the case for drivers on the famous highway systems in Germany. When you drive in Germany you can be “idiot” in the government’s eyes if you go too slowly, drive in the wrong lane or impede the flow of traffic. This distinction is not unique in Germany but is applicable to their federal highway system, aptly named the Autobahn.
The group of Americans were very leery of Tony when he discussed the plan to get them out of Tehran. They wanted to know why they should trust him and how he can guarantee his plan would be successful. Source credibility has three elements of credibility: competence, trustworthiness, and goodwill. The group questioned Tony’s competence, when they asked him directly, “what are our chances”, in which he responded, “Chances are good”. (Affleck, 2012). This led to some tension as they questioned what the percentage of “good” was and brought up the capture of other Americans that attempted to escape. When they realized this was the first attempt of this type, trustworthiness was challenged and the fact that they are supposed to trust him with their lives. To try to ease the group; Tony explained what he does and his success rate. Tension increased amongst the six Americans and they tried to convince each other that this was their only option. The character “Joe” was the most skeptical and said it was suicide and that he did not trust Tony. Tony explained to Joe and his wife that he rescues people and promised he will get them out. This was an expression of goodwill, if the group was not convinced Tony cared about them, the plan would have never worked, as it took each one of them to stay in character in order for them to all get out alive. In a key pivoting scene Tony was asked, “Do you think your story is going to matter when there is a gun to our head?”, in which Tony responds, “I think my story is the only thing between you and a gun to your head.” (Affleck, 2012). All three components of Source Credibility were crucial in the movie; without the group having competence in Tony, along with trusting his plan and that his intentions were for their benefit, the plan would have
He becomes severely hurt by one of his own industry’s grenades. He is abducted and held prisoner in an underground cave by the terrorist group. The other captive, Yinsen, transplants an electromagnet into Tony’s chest. This is to keep the ammunition that hurt him from reaching his heart. The leader of the terrorist group, Raza, proposes a deal with Stark in exchange for his freedom. They want him to construct a Jericho missile, but Tony and Yinsen are convinced that Raza will go back on his word. Tony plots a way of escape for Yinsen and himself: an armoured suit mechanized by the arc reactor that once worn, will be a defense mechanism against the
Companies like Google, Tesla and Nissan, among others, have announced over the past few years that their companies are trying to develop self-driving or autonomous cars [Ref. 1 and 2]. Self-driving cars can provide many benefits to the average consumer. Studies have shown that because computers can react and process information many times faster than a human being, crashes on streets and roads can be decreased with quick and consistent evasion maneuvers by the autonomous car. They can also help maximize fuel economy by calculating the most direct and fastest routes. When the driving of an autonomous car demonstrates that the computer can safely and reliably transport the passengers to their destination, this frees up the passengers to do other things that they would not normally be able to do if they were driving the car manually. For this reason, self-driving cars can help maximize productivity of their passengers.
Humans in the twentieth century live in an era characterized by an unrelenting desire for speed. The ability to go faster and accomplish more often seems to be the option of choice. Everything from the information super highway to the interstate highway is dominated by this need for speed. Whether it is fast food or fast cars, more powerful search engines or automobile engines, the fact of the matter is people rarely stop to catch their breath. Ever since the wheel people have tried to get from point A to B in as little time as possible. This idea is evident every time someone turns the ignition of his/her automobile. Cars were designed with the ability to travel faster and reach destinations sooner, but now it seems that these conveniences have been stretched and abused to the maximum. The question at hand is not whether or not speeding exists, which it does, but rather is it a problem? In addition, what are the consequences and/or ramifications of speeding? The notion of fast is usually associated with better, but is this really the case? These questions will be discussed in this paper.
"Oh, so your the psychic Rook's been ranting about. The one who 'exceeds expectations,' the one who 'sees and knows all' the one who 'is my most valuable soldier.' You know, if I didn't know about his knact for convincing women to sleep with him, I'd say he was in love with you. Hell, he still might be. He's always had this obsession with his partners having power."
Even when cars capable of these speeds are put into the hands of world-class drivers such as Ferrari’s Michael Shumacher and McLaren’s Mika Hakkinen, mishaps are bound to occur. This is what makes this sport so exciting to watch. Crashes however, are not the only exciting events of the race. It is thrilling to watch a car out brake another in order to squeeze its way ahead, or to watch the cars bump tires in an effort to occupy the same piece of race track to be set up correctly for the turn ahead. Other points of interest are the pit stops and the strategies that the various teams use in order to make a fast pit stop.
