When I asked Jennifer if she gets any training or workshops to support the children in the classroom, she stated: “I go to trainings and workshops every other month to keep up with the changes in the curriculum and how to support children with disabilities these have been are focus and I feel it has supported me as a teacher.” When I asked Jennifer if there was anything she wanted to add, she stated: “Times have changed now that the expectations are higher and we don’t have enough time to do crafts with the kids. Richard how he felt about working with children with learning disabilities, he stated: “I love it its Individualized. I get to see what their specific need is and support them to grow. I also like that I can collaborate with my colleagues to see what areas I can help the children in.” When I asked Richard to tell me his experience in working with children with disabilities, he stated: “I started as a paraprofessional in the general education setting and moved to paraprofessional in special education for 4 years as I continued my education to get my special education credential and degree.” When I asked Richard what are your strengths and weaknesses in working with children with disabilities, he stated: “My strength is I have built up patience’s sometimes we don’t see the insist progress but over time you will see the growth.
