present that makes all the difference.
Mastering the word comes by living like Christ and obeying his teachings. Living like Christ separates the carnal minded from the kingdom minded. Christ living separates the men from the boys or shall I say the children from the Sons. Discipleship, fellowship, spiritual growth, active listening, and obedience are some key factors for developing into the image of Sons of God, just to name a few. When I speak of obedience I do not speak from a place of legality, tradition, nor religion but a place of love and relationship. It was Jesus himself who said, “If you love me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15, 19). In other words, if you love me then obey me. It is the same way with parent and child; the easiest way for a child to show a parent their love

Although Jesus fulfilled the law of righteousness so that all those who believe in him would not have to pay the penalty for their own sins, does not mean all the laws of God have been abolished. We just no longer have to work for salvation. The laws of God are still his commands and statutes from his principles. They and are required of us. Although I strongly believe in resting in the finish work of the cross, I also believing in striving to live in a way that exemplifies discipleship of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirt working in my life. Striving to modify the deeds of the flesh to become more like the image of the Son of God, should be goal for all believers. Obedience is better than sacrifice and will cause God to highly favor you as He did His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus was obedient to the things his father wanted him to do. He also did hard things that his flesh didn’t want to do, even to the point of death. How willing are you to crucify your flesh and lay down your life only to truly find it? Well that is what it takes to be a master of the Word. Jesus paid a price and gave up his life. What
From my reading of Galatians, I would say that we should not follow the Jewish Law. If the Jewish law were the only way a person can be saved, then there would be no need for Jesus’s death. The apostle Paul also noticed this error because he tells the readers that because of his new understanding of the Law, he has come to reject the Law (Galatians 2:19). The Law is not the “end-all-be-all”, it is simply a filler until Jesus. Before the time of Jesus, people needed a moral code to live by, but they have a new Law to follow: the teachings of Jesus Christ!
It is possible to write on the life of Jesus in a topical manner. This paper will be divided into three parts. In the first part of the paper, I will discuss about the nature of a gospel, Johns views vs. the Synoptic, whether or not the writers of the gospels were eyewitnesses and how they used written sources and also about what is Q source and how Mathew and Luke were similar when it came to their sources; how the old testament stories (Moses, Samuel, Elijah) used to interpret Jesus and finally whether or not Sermon on the Mount happened. In the second part of my paper, I will talk about Jesses birth and childhood, the miracles, his resurrection and also the actions Jesus did relating to curing people, spirits and how they are these interpreted: prophet, magician, madman compare Saul and Elijah. In the final part of the paper, I will discuss about what Jesus spoke about the Kingdom of God vs. the kingdom of the Romans and what he meant by the end of the world and also the reason behind the Romans executing him. My sources for this paper will be the New Jerusalem Bible (Gospels of John, Mark, Matthew and Luke) and lecture notes from Professor Trumbach.
As a second language learner I have never expected myself to be a perfect writer throughout the semester. Even If English was my first language still, I would not be a perfect writer. It is not about first or second language, it is about how well I understand the learning objectives. Then organizing and writing with my own ideas and putting them in my paper. I am going to be honest, I am not good at English subject and English subject is my strongest weakness than the other subjects. In this paper I will discuss and analyze my own writing, reflecting on the ways that my writing has improved throughout the semester.
Jesus clarified that there is no law one must follow to be saved, there is no rule one must obey to be saved. Jesus told this man that because of God’s love of every man, and every person in the world, he sent his son to die on the cross to take away the sins of the world, he so deeply loved. Jesus stated that this forgiveness, this salvation, this redemption is open to all, and like Moses in the wilderness, all that look and believe will be saved. Those that choose not to look, or those that look but do not believe, will not be
...d “Do not think that I came to abolish but to fulfill (Matthew 5:17 NIV). Jesus came to make the law better for us. Let us therefore come body to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16 KJV). God takes no pleasure in the death of sinners he wants them to turn. If one dies and have not yet received Jesus Christ into their life and repented for all their sins then it is too late. “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin (Hebrew 10:26-27 NIV). Jesus is saying repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. God wills all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, the truth is Jesus Christ he is the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through him (John 4:16 NIV).
Jesus did not even yield to temptation in his actions. Jesus died for us, his death was a substitute for our deaths, and his death was sufficient in doing so.
God as a figure in my life has always been to me a mystery. I have been going to church since I could remember, so The idea of God has been in my life forever. My idea of God has never been like most people in my family or people in my church. I believe God has set his plan for me and let 's it be. I have never for me put too much of my trust in God. When someone dies or something bad happens to someone they try immediately to blame God. People then get this idea that God is bad to them and better to others. I sometimes side with those who struggle with the idea that God is always good to those who do good. With things like the Holocaust and genocides. How can a loving God let this happen to innocent people? At church they make it seem that
The image of a pastor entering the pulpit from among the pews in the sanctuary described by Long is one that resonates with me, because it is genuinely where I am entering from. Perhaps it is to be expected when someone answers the call to ministry later in life, but I approach homiletics as a member of the body of Christ first and foremost. Experience as a member of the congregation and a Member in Discernment have taught me that the pastor has many responsibilities, but good, solid preaching is of the greatest import.
And again, “Nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus. . . since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified.” Gal. 2:16.
There are countless aspects that we could attribute to God. That he is eternal, immutable, infinite, the list goes on and on. However, one attribute of God that I found to be the most interesting and overall shocking to ask is whether we as humans have free will if God knows all things. This question has forever been a sense of conflict in my eyes, if God knew all things and knew how I would react in every situation then what is the point of this life? What then is the point to even believe in a God that would knowingly send me out into this world already knowing exactly how I would react to every situation? Boethius confronts this question with his consolation of philosophy; during this paper I will analyze Boethius’s argument as to why
As a child, I was always curious about how God was referenced as “Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” How is that possible I would ask? My grandmother would state, “God is three persons who we have belief in.” Even after that response, I was still somewhat confused, but I knew that if grandma was taking me to church every Sunday and we read the Bible everyday then it had to be of some importance. As I grew older, my understanding of what is called the Trinity became clearer. The Christian doctrine of the Trinity interprets God as three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. Although, this doctrine is said to be a mystery beyond most human comprehension, it suggests that the nature of God is a relationship of love. I would explain it like this to my niece. I may be Aunt, Jody and Mom, although these are three names for one person, it is three ways of thinking about the same person. Correct? So think of God in the same way. God is three persons. Founded approximately 2,000 years ago by Jesus Christ, Christianity is one of the most prominent religions in world history.
In his book, Learning and Behavior, Paul Chance and Mark A. Krause (2008) states that positive reinforcement, according with Skinner, occur whether the emergence of or the increment in the intensity of a stimulus, follow a behavior. This stimulus is known as positive reinforce and its main function is strengthen the behavior that come before it. Positive reinforcement is also known as rewarding learning because reinforces often tend to be rewards, but Skinner did not like this way to called it. Skinner argued that even though people are rewarded through this process, it is important to keep in mind that the behavior is reinforced. So, when we called it rewarding learning, it makes more emphasize in the reward instead of the behavior which is strengthened. In positive reinforcement not everything that we considered as reward are so, as something which are considered as aversion, are reward. In the same line, Pierce and his colleague (2004) states that although positive reinforcement often include consequence such as food, praise and money, it cannot be considered as reinforces until...
Operant Conditioning is a way of learning that uses rewards and punishments for certain behaviors. It was first coined by BF Skinner. It is also known as Skinner Conditioning. It creates an association between a consequence and a behavior. Sometimes it is also referred to as response-stimulus conditioning. Operant conditioning is related to classical condition but focuses more on why the behavior is happening & what the drive is behind it to accomplish the task at hand.

My parents arrived in the United States hoping for a better future not for themselves, but for the baby they carried in their arms. We would often move from relatives ' houses since my parents couldn’t afford renting an apartment themselves. We were fortunate enough to have caring relatives who didn 't mind us living with them since they knew the hardships we were going through. I grew up in a household where only Spanish was spoken given that both my parents didn’t speak any English at all. When I was in kindergarten, my teacher was afraid that I would be behind the rest of my classmates, given that I only spoke Spanish fluently. I was fortunate to receive free tutoring from my kindergarten teacher. We would often read books together until
