“Riot” - Three Days Grace : The song also talks about how “if [they] feel so angry, so ripped off, so stepped on” then they should start a riot. This could be used to describe Sampson and Gregory at the beginning of Act One, Scene One. They are angry, because of the heat and the Capulets just provoke them even more when they show up. They may also feel like the capulets are stepping on them just because of the rivalry between the two families, which is why they want to fight even more.
“Stolen Dance” - Milky Chance : This song is about a man in love with a girl. It talks about how they are dancing, but it also mentions that they should not speak of it. This could be used for the Act One, Scene Five at the Capulet party when Romeo and Juliet

It talks about how someone is trying to keep the couple apart, just like how the parents are keeping Romeo and Juliet apart due to their feud. This song would be good for Act Three, Scene Five because it talks about how “the night has reached its end” and this is when Romeo and Juliet are waking up. The lyrics also show the singer asking “Is this our last embrace?” just like how when Romeo is leaving, him and Juliet do not know for sure if they will see each other again.
“Face Down” - The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus : This song is about a man who abuses his girlfriend. This could be used for Act Three, Scene Five when Lord Capulet is trying to force Juliet to get married, and when she says she does not want to hits her. The song also states that “ every action in the world will bear a consequence.” The consequence for that will be Juliet wanting to die and actually faking her

Romeo’s love for Juliet could be seen as a drug, because he cannot live without her. The singer talks about how he’s “sitting by a fire on a lonely night”, which is the state in which romeo is in when Balthasar comes to deliver the news of Juliet in Act Five, Scene one. The songs alsos talks about “one last kiss, before [he goes]” which represents the moment when Romeo will give her a kiss before he kills himself in Act Five, Scene Three.
“I Will Follow You Into The Dark” - Death Cab For Cutie : This song talks about a man (the singer) who is in love and willing to do anything for them. He states that “someday [his love] will die, but [he’ll] be close behind” and that “[he’ll] follow [them] into the dark”. The first line insinuates that the dark represents death, but it also represents other situations his partner may get into. This song could be used in Romeo and Juliet during Act Five, Scene Three for two reasons. The first is when Romeo literally follows her into the dark, when he goes into her tomb since that is where she is lying. The other is when he commits suicide to be with her, to follow her into the
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare explores the lives of ‘a pair of star crossed lovers’ from feuding families in the city of Verona. Their love and passion for one another is so great, that even an act of revenge doesn’t prevent them from being with each other. Act 3 Scene 2 is set in Capulets house and entails a conversation between Juliet and her Nurse regarding her cousin, Tybalt’s death and her lover, Romeo’s banishment. Juliet expresses her grief for Tybalt’s death and her abhorrence at Romeo’s deed. Although the Nurse blames Romeo for the death of Tybalt, Juliet’s loyalty and love towards her husband, enables her to overcome the shock.
Juliet strategizes her disastrous plan and worries, “How if, when I am laid into the tomb, I wake before the time that Romeo come to redeem me?” (Lines 30-32 of Act Four, Scene Three). Juliet is desperate to see Romeo, ergo she plans to fake her death. Her thoughts of Romeo finding her lifeless foreshadows their future. Romeo is deprived of the news of Juliet’s real state of health, therefore he says, “Well, Juliet, I will lie with thee tonight. O mischief, thou art swift to enter the thoughts of desperate men!” (Lines 34-36 of Act Five, Scene One). Once again, Romeo’s perception is only focused on Juliet. His mental instability leads him to think Paris is in the way obtaining true happiness, thus he slays him. Romeo acquires poison, stands beside Juliet, and states, “Here’s to my love! (Drinks.) O true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die.” (Lines 119-120 of Act Five, Scene Three). Romeo observes Juliet’s body and determines that he should die beside her. Juliet wakes to his lifeless body, and determines she should commit suicide, as well. Romeo’s foolish decisions lead to the death of himself and
In the play, Romeo and Juliet sneak out a lot to see each other. They do this because they are from rival families and their don’t want them to interact with each other at all. By sneaking around, it created more problems and Juliet drank a potion that would put her to sleep for a while and as a result, they both ended up killing themselves. They were both not listening to their parents and by doing that, it ended badly for both of them and their families.
However, due to his intrusion of the Capulet party in act one, scene five, it is Tybalt’s rage that jeopardizes Romeo’s well-being. This shows the intensity of Romeo’s love for Juliet, and how he cares more about seeing her than his own safety. For example, in act five, scene three, Romeo kills himself because he believes that Juliet is dead. Love made Romeo put himself in dangerous situations, and caused Juliet to go against what her parents wanted. This is important to the story because it is Romeo and Juliet’s love for each other that ends the feud.
Come, night. come, Romeo; come, thou day in night', Romeo is day & he stands out in the night.
Who would be willing to die for their loved ones? Romeo and Juliet would and did. Romeo and Juliet’s love and death brought two families together who could not even remember the origin of their hate. When the parents saw what their children's love for each other, they realized that their fighting had only led to suffering and insoluble conflict. Romeo and Juliet loved each other to an extent that they killed themselves rather than live apart. They did it with no hiatus. Juliet says before she kills herself, “O happy dagger, This is thy sheath. There rust and let me die.”( 5, 3, 182-183) demonstrating how she would rather die than not be with him.
It is a short summary of what the play is about. The chorus is in the form of a sonnet and sonnets were often associated with love in the time of Shakespeare. The. However, the words of the chorus seem to emphasize the idea of hate, although there are some words about love. From ancient grudge break to new mutiny.
At the start of Act 3 scene 5 Capulet begins with a soliloquy, in which he describes his feelings of pity and confusion ‘How now a conduit girl?’ As Juliet expresses her grief Capulet becomes frightened for her sake. By the time we get to this scene Juliet has already married her Romeo which Capulet does not know about, this produces even more tension because Juliet is trying not to look guilty although she is forbidden to marry Paris. Capulet creates a dramatic effect on the whole soliloquy in pleading her to halt her tears ‘It rains downright’ he is stating that his daughter has been crying, perhaps too much.
Also, Romeo spots Juliet for the first time at her father’s party and his first words about her are “Yo, she’s bangin’!” I wrapped pearls around the stick to give others the feeling that she has her daddy wrapped around her finger doing everything for her. Juliet is a spoiled brat who can’t do anything for herself and everyone else works hard to make her happy. In Act 3 Scene 5 Capulet is shouting at Lady Capulet because he is mad at Juliet for not wanting to marry Paris. He says “I have worked hard to provide Juliet with everything she needs to be happy.
Romeo says he is only going to rejoice in splendor of his own. Romeo believes he will only ever be in love with Rosaline. But, what he doesn’t know is he will soon fall in love with a girl named Juliet at the ball.
...ay for years, believing it was a play about love, but the way Shakespeare wrote the play it is far from a love story. As Romeo moved from Rosaline to Juliet, for the simple fact that he believed Juliet is more beautiful than Rosaline, gives the perfect example that the play is based on desperation. Juliet says to Romeo, showing her desperation, “Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow / that I shall say good night till it be morrow” (II ii 188-189). When Romeo and Juliet say they cannot spend another night away from each other, it sets a perfect example of obsession in the play. Even Romeo knows he is anxious to force love when he says, “Th’ exchange of thy love’s faithful vow for mine” (II ii 127).
Romeo and Juliet is a romantic love story about a young lad named Romeo who has fallen in love with Lady Juliet, but is unable to marry her because of a long-lasting family feud. The play ends in the death of both these characters and the reunion of the friendship between the families. Romeo is in love with Juliet, and this is a true, passionate love (unlike the love Paris has for her or the love Romeo had for Rosaline) that nothing can overcome, not even the hatred between their two families that is the reason for the death of their two children. Throughout the play, Shakespeare thoroughly explores the themes of both true love and false love and hatred. Without either of these themes, the play would loose its romantic touch and probably would not be as famous as it is today.
Once in a while many people make bad decisions. Usually these decisions don’t cause them any harm in their futures, unlike Romeo Montague’s and Juliet Capulet’s decisions. In Verona, a city in Italy, two lovers fall in love. The catch is their families despise each other. Eventually Romeo get’s banished from Verona, and Juliet is forced to marry someone she doesn’t want to marry. Juliet takes a potion that knocks her out for 42 hours, and feigns her death, hoping she does not have to marry Count Paris. Romeo assumes Juliet is dead, and drinks a potion that kills him, and when Juliet wakes up and realizes that Romeo is dead, she stabs herself. In William Shakespeare’s tragic play, Romeo and Juliet, the main protagonists, Romeo and Juliet, make poor choices which eventually lead to their death at the end of the story.
...ove, young love, first love. (TRAN TO PLAY). Romeo and Juliet have just arrived at Friar Lawrence’s cell to get married. Juliet says, “Conceit, more rich in matter than in words, /Brags of his substance, not of ornament. / They are but beggars that can count their worth. / But my true love is grown to such excess / I cannot sum up sum of half my wealth.” (II.vi.30-34). Romeo and Juliet just got married and but they have to keep it secret because they are from rival families. This quote shows how much they both love each other.(EXPLAIN HOW SONG AND PLAY RELATE & HOW THEY BOTH SHOW THE TOPIC SENTENCE TO BE TRUE:). A song that fits the way that Romeo and Juliet feel for each other in The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare would have to be the hit song from the album The Bodyguard; Original Soundtrack, Whitney Houston’s version of I Will Always Love You.
Sampson and Gregory are itching for a fight as they both believe that they have just as much right to defend the name ‘capulet’ as any other member of the family. So there is also this love for the name and for the fight as though they are children awaiting presents.
