In writing this paper, it makes one reflect over life. The song “If I Could Turn Back Time” and the old saying ‘If I knew then what I know now” came to mind. When you are with somebody, you do not stop and think they will be gone at an early age. If I knew the person I will be writing about would be gone, I ponder on all of the time, questions, and words that would have, could have, should have taken place.
I would like to tell you a little bit about the person that I wish I could see again. His name was Micky Barnica, but I referred to him as “Uncle Mick”. He was a big stout guy, strong, smart, and he had a big heart. He was very knowledgeable and loved to read an assortment from hunting/fishing/livestock magazines, history books, the

He knew that money was not everything and one needed to be happy at what you do in life. When the chance came up to return home due to family health, he jumped at the chance to come back home. He was happy and would comment that his purpose in life was to take care of the land. Although young, that was a lesson to me, to be peace with oneself and always work hard.
When I was young, Uncle Mick would take the time and play with siblings and myself. He would do everything such as chasing me, playing board games, and card games. I would watch history on television with him, and old War Movies. We not only played but there was hours of fishing, hunting, and game being cleaned, which was all fun for a young boy like me.
One of my fondest memories was our roaming over the land where he lived. He loved his guns, hunting, fishing, and trapping. Our family and Uncle Mick would go hunting together. We would start out in the early morning. The day was filled with the fun of being together, talking, and with luck we would have a deer harvested before the sun went down. It all seemed like a fun adventure to me, and never did the thought of what to come entering my

The thought of the day that I found interesting was “worry is a futile thing, it’s somewhat like a rocking chair. Although it keeps you occupied, it doesn’t get you anywhere” -Anonymous. This quote means that there is no point in worrying because you can’t succeed and move forward, if you worry all the time. This quote relates to the song “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts because the lyrics “I hope the days come easy and the moments pass slow, and each road leads you to where you want to go.” show that stress and worrying is bad and you should try to find ways to avoid it. An event from my life that the quote and lyrics show a connection is when I had a technology project in the 6th grade where we had to build wind powered cars. When the teacher
“if you had lived we would all be miserable” and at time we think of what would have happened if our loved one were still alive, he tells his father what would have happen he tells him of how unhappy he would have been, “I miss you every day” this just changed all tone of the poem telling his daddy I still miss you and it doesn 't matter what if you were sick or not. And the last stay he uses in the book and this poem is having a good ending, here is this poem he shares him daddy best time and memory,” today lilacs are blooming in the side yards all over Iowa still welcoming
Death is sometimes considered unthinkable. People do not wish to think of loved ones dying. When someone close to us dies we are over come with sadness. We wish we had more time with them. Their death shows us the importance of that person’s role in our lives. We begin to think of how we will live our lives without them. We think of all the moments we shared with them, they live again in our memories. Perhaps death is considered unthinkable because we fe...
Britt Nicole was going through some difficult times in her life when she was seven years old. Her parents were going through a divorce and that made a huge impact in her life. At one moment she remembered running up to her room with tears in her eyes and opening her Precious Moments Bible. She grew up hearing her grandpa reach about Jesus and she needed Him more than ever and to rescue her in the moment. After crying out to Him she felt His presence fill her room. The singer Britt Nicole relates and explains in her blog,” All this time is my salvation story. It is how the story of how I met Jesus and a reminder that whatever we face in life, we don’t have to face it alone because Jesus promised to never leave us and forsake us.” This is the background of Britt Nicole’s song, “All This Time.” Through her hard times in life, Britt Nicole accepted Jesus in her heart and from that point, it modified her life. She feels relief about the acceptance of Jesus.
All music created has some kind of story behind it. It could be a bad story, good story, or even a complicated story. Every artist tells a story in their music that can relate to anyones life. I tossed my bow in the bed of the truck and took off and headed to the elk farm. Me and kevin were talking about fishing next summer and how we were going to go every other week. We really got to talking about bowhunting a lot to next year. It was making me smile when i heard that he was going to take me with him anywhere when he can.The next thing i knew was we were at the elk farm ready to kill some deer.
...ns we had plenty of time to talk about things, but I also had time to sit and think about things for myself in the calm outdoors. That first day of hunting proved to me that hunting is one of the most fun and enjoyable things to do, along with an emotional experience, as long as it is done safety.
A poem full of heartache, grief and despair. someone the poet truly loved has gone forever.

I don't have a lot of fantastic memories of childhood. There were no spectacular family adventures, no unique family projects that taught some sort of moral lesson, no out-of-the-ordinary holidays. We ate family meals together, but most of the time the children and adults lived in different worlds. The kids went to school, did homework, and played; the adults worked. I was lucky, though. When I wanted a little of both worlds, I could always turn to Grandpa.
I can still remember that day. All the beauty of nature collected in one moment. I can still feel the sponginess of the winter-aged leaves under my feet. I felt as though I was walking on a cloud, the softness of the leaves cushioning my every step, they were guiding me along the wooded path to a small creek. The humming of the water moving with the crispness of the air, together they were singing a promise of a fresh and clean new season. It was a beautiful spring that year. Every so often a day like that comes back and I am reminded of posing for our picture together.
He started speaking and it was hard for him, his eyes teared up. Jerald always looked up to his father, he served his country and taught my father how to be a responsible man and to be accountable for his actions, why wouldn’t he be his hero? My father met a lot of new people and he liked that they had the same motivation to serve their community as him. My father learned that he is capable of more than he thinks, “If you commit, you will achieve more than what you thought you could” Jerald said. My father will always regret not getting a college degree before becoming a police officer and that’s the one thing in his whole life that he would go back and re-do.
