Recommended: Solar energy the fuel of the future
Solar energy is starting to become popular with houses, buildings, and other things as
well. People are starting to question solar energy like is it polluting the earth? Is it really better
for our environment? People are starting to second guess solar energy but it is still used and
more and more companies are starting to use them. I believe that solar energy is better for our
environment then using any other energy source. We use things like oil, gases, and other
harmful things that pollute our environment and kills other sources that are very useful to us, like
air, water, and animals.
Unlike things like fossil fuels that will run out the, sun will always be there. You can’t ever
run out of it and you get it for free. Solar power is renewable

and causes absolutely no pollution during it’s operation (Source B). Also that they all say that America will always export oil and they’re wrong.
It’s not we will run out it’s that later on in the future it will be more expensive
(Source C). So unlike fossil fuels that can damage our environment later on in the future solar
power won’t cause any serious harm to our planet. Later on the price for oil will get more
expensive because of Hubbard’s speak were we reached our 50 percent limit that’s when oil
becomes more expensive and solar power will be cheaper (Source C).
The other reason is that solar power generates power silently (Source B). It’s true
instead of paying for workers to dig for oil which can take days, and they can sometimes do it
near offices and schools were classes and meetings are going on and they can’t get any work
done because of the noise it takes to dig for oil. The last thing that solar power helps us with is
that the enough energy hits the earth in one hour to meet the world’s yearly energy supply
(Source B). This can help us so much because yes it might cost more for a solar power panel
but the sun is for free and it’s never running out of light. “The science of today is the technology
of tomorrow” (Source D). This quote states that the science of today can help us create new
technology that can help us out later on. Like solar power panels are run by protons
and electrons, and look how much it can help us out with the planet. This are the reasons why I believe that solar power energy can help us out with our needs of the future.
Expansion of Standard Oil’s influence into the western half of America proved to be a huge economic risk, a risk that the board of
At the turn of the century there was a new law named “Capture” therefore; whoever produced the oil owned the oil. If you did not produce the oil then somebody else would be willing to produce the oil. The consequences if the production of the well ran dried out weight the reward. “Oilmen were not the only ones who knew that production was often short-lived; bankers quickly learned that no prudent lenders extended a loan on the basis of oil production. “ It was a reality that oil production started of strong and quickly dropped off within a matter of a couple months. The risk was not worth the reward for either party which is the bakers or the oilmen. The ferocious cycles from boom to bust, from having more than enough oil to not enough would swing the price for oil up and down like a roll coaster. When a new oil field came in, the local markets hand more than enough oil, pushing the prices lower, making oil more affordable. However, whenever the oil production dropped it would send the prices sky rocketing making it unprofitable to stay in business. Pattillo Higgins would be willing to take on this challenge head on of producing oil. [Who is Higgins, Ernest? By giving at least a short introduction the readers w...
We are dependent on energy for almost everything in our lives. When the outside temperature rises a little, we immediately switch on the air conditioner to keep our house cool. This is using up of energy. We have starting taking things for granted and we have started wasting energy unnecessarily. Energy is limited and hence to maintain the quality of life, it is important that we use our energy resources wisely. If we do not conserve energy, the energy will exhaust and we will have nothing to use.
... we may see a serious act in the near future to start the process of drilling. With a solid combination and profitability factor the U.S. could prevent the rising gasoline prices. We need to however, continue our search for other alternatives do to our limited resource of oil. For this reason, I am in favor of opening up the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling and also the exploration of alternative fuel sources, as well as ways to conserve fuel. This combination should provide the United States with an energy policy that is both financially stable and environmentally sound.
...l feedstock. If ANWR drilling is allowed, our domestic crude oil production can reach a feasible rate of 10 million barrels per day by 2020. Additionally, with innovations in technology and better consumption habits are implemented, factors like: fuel efficient vehicles can be produced, electric battery created, and natural gas in freight transportation can be extended.
These oil wells are great for the economic growth, inventing new jobs and fueling most of our vehicles. The Earth has literal oceans of oil stored in its soil waiting to be harvested. Meaning, crude oil isn’t renewable, and eventually it will run out. According to the British petroleum, the multinational gas and oil company headquarter, there is only enough to sustain the planet for roughly around 53.3 more years. The result of oil depletion will turn turbulent, and we will have to resort to renewable energy. The issue concerning this is that, renewable energies such as solar, water and wind have not been perfected and can be too expensive to use. In theory, renewable energy is still a stable and natural energy source that could potentially save the future. If the we invest in perfecting these energy sources instead of pipelines, oil companies could finally stop reaping the Earth of its oil and prevent a future crisis 50 years from now. We wouldn’t have the need to burn fossil fuels, and we could be one step closer to a cleaner Earth. Nonetheless, most people nowadays care only for shortcuts that will lead them to big money, even if it sacrifices our world’s interior, and the health of those that live upon
Significance: The United States must face the fact that the world is running out of oil and with today’s rising oil prices, economic and political instability in regions where the United States gets the majority of its oil, this country must begin looking into alternative means of energy to replace oil and end our dependence on foreign powers.
...sidered as a viable alternative energy source at the present, nonetheless if, with further research, efficiency continues to increase and the cost to produce solar panels continues to decrease, solar energy could be a major contributor to power in the future.
According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, over half of the oil used in the USA is imported. Most of this imported oil is located in the middle east and is controlled by OPEC members. Subsequent oil price shocks and price manipulation by OPEC have cost our economy dearly—about $1.9 trillion from 2004 to 2008—and each major shock was followed by a recession (Reduce). We may never be able to fully eliminate our need to import oil, but we can reduce cartel market control and the economic impact of price shocks by reducing our demand (Reduce). One way we can reduce our reliance on oil is through investing in renewable energy. Solar power, wind power, and hydro power are all forms of energy which come from renewable resources. Unlike oil, solar, wind and hydro electric power is abundant and can be obtained locally.
One reason why solar energy helps is because it reduces electricity costs. Electric bills could be catastrophic for some families and many people may be struggling to pay with other types of bills too. That’s where solar energy comes in and is a great substitute for electrical energy. Adding solar panels to your home can bring in monthly savings of above $100 in many states such as Hawaii which residents there save on average $64,000 after an estimated 20 years! You save more money and waste less energy which is what we really need nowadays in life. Going solar can help save you tons of money you never imagined to have before
The sun has been a major aspect of life since the beginning of time. People used many other forms of energy before electricity was discovered. There has been a debate over energy resources for years. Many people are worried about what current energy resources may be doing to the environment. Oil spills and nuclear power plant mishaps have only been a few accidents that have had a big impact on the environment and the people who inhabit it. There are plenty of energy sources that do not harm the environment and are still able to get the job done. Solar energy is one energy alternative that will insure the betterment of the country and, at the same time, protect the natural environment.
...ination, hydrogen fuel and solar energy (World Economic Forum 2014). These are technologies that closely related to environmental and recourse preservation, which help the society switch to use renewable energy.
... and monthly water filling. Solar energy is the cleanest and purest form of energy, allowing for cleaner air overall in our environment. There is great hope for a lot more solar panels to be installed worldwide. Solar is a viable alternative energy with solar panels becoming more affordable and more efficiently designed.
Even though global climate change presents a massive problem, there are many proposed solutions to fix or delay it. These theories range from creating a giant sun shield in space to the simple practice of “reduce, reuse, and recycle” (Gray, 2009). However, the most effective solution is to find different sources of fuel to power our day to day lives. The earth is in need of renewable, effective, and long-lasting fuels. Global warming can be slowed through the use of renewable energy as it is versatile, clean, a good investment, and can easily be put into place in several different climates and environments.
Regarding to solar power, Mistry claims that although the solar power does not generate pollution, it has a lot of costs. To built solar panels with a photovoltaic equipment has high costs. For instance, a photovoltaic system just for a home can cost around $35,000 (Kumar, 2012). However, if our goal for the future is to get a healthy environment, switch fossil fuels for solar power might be the best choice to achieve that goal. According to Kumar (2012), Solar power is a clean and renewable energy so, it decreases the dependency on fossil fuel and also reduces the air pollution. When the sun heats the panel, it generates clean energy which does not pollute the environment. All in all, the costs of solar power might not be applicable when it is certainly the best way for having a clean
