There are many themes in The Great Gatsby, but the main theme is Society and Class. It is shown throughout chapter one that there is a difference between the East Egg, which is made up of Old money, and the West Egg, which is New Money. In The Great Gatsby, the letter from Curtain, and also Private Donald Fraser, there are differences and similarities in the themes. There are several differences shown in The Great Gatsby and in the letter from Curtain that have to deal with the theme of Society and Class.
