A highly valued view of building the community is that students must have the capability to motivate themselves and the likelihood to be active in both educational and social experiences. Socializing contains a variety of features from transferring messages to self-disclosure. Online professors can support the socialization by making a forum for discussions. The term ‘water cooler forum’ came from workers gathering at a water cooler to socialize with one another. For the online professor, this concept of socializing is done in an online forum where both student and the professor participate. Online education can help encourage people to become independent, self-direct themselves, and socially communicate while not relying heavily upon the teacher for everything. This is achieved by maintaining a balance between the individual work, class discussions and group projects, and by skillful facilitation of course discussions with the professor that helps lead students to self-learning and participating in teamwork from other colleagues. Rovai stated, “Johnson and Johnson (1994) identified five essential components of small-group collaborative learning: (a) clear, positive independence among students; (b) regular group self-evaluation; (c) interpersonal behaviors that promote each member’s learning and success; (d) individual accountability and personal responsibility; and (e) frequent use of appropriate interpersonal and small group skills” (Rovai, 87). Learning through one another is successful when the whole group agrees on the outcome that symbolizes a synthesis each person’s contribution. Thinking about what social influence really means, we tend to think of a person who tries to persuade another person to acting a certain way. It can be a form of peer pressure, like taking that first puff of a cigarette, or it can be conforming to popular societal views, such as obeying the law of the land. Watching popular theatrical films is the perfect way to learn because it illustrates the application of many perceptions within the subject of social psychology.
This article is about children’s perspective and how to get valid meaningful information from the child’s perspective about their learning experiences. This paper focuses on a sociocultural perspective of children as learners in their own right and co-constructers of their own meaning of learning (Smith, Duncan, & Marshall, 2005). This article also looks at how children can contribute to and make meaning of their learning and how they express that. Children use meaning-making to make sense of their world through and by the experience of narratives (Wright, 2012, p. 26). Social support was defined by Berger (1992) as the resources that are provided by other persons. This broad concept of social support was organized or operationalized into three categories by Barrera (1986): (a) social embeddedness (the connection to significant others); (b) perceived social support (access to social support resources and appraisal of that support); and (c) enacted support (actions that others perform when they render assistance to a focal person). Mia is a fun loving five year old girl that likes frozen and plays well with other children. She currently attends transitional kindergarten and looks forward to attending school every day. My observation of Mia took place at her grandma’s house and the store. During the observation, she would interact with her mother, aunt and mention her little sister. Mia social and emotional development still needs improvements when interacting with her parents and other caretakers but when interacting with her teacher and peers will behavior properly
There are many agents and stages of socialization. Agents are the things that influence us throughout all of our stages. Family, church, media, schools, and peers are all agents. The stages of socialization are our stages of life, but all cultures have fewer or more stages than others. Childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and old age are the stages in the United States culture. Adolescence can be a very odd stage for anyone but some cultures do not even have it, some countries feel as though adolescence is not needed or that there is not enough time for it. For example, in a country that is mostly a hunting and gathering culture, they will not have adolescence because they need everyone to help out nomatter the gender or age so there is no need to waste time with adolescence when they are brought up in childhood learning all the things that they need to do.

Thinking about normal social interactions and normal social behaviors, I think of comfortable. When I sit down with a friend, a usual routine is followed, “Hey, how are you, what’s new?” (e.g. My turn, your turn). These questions between my friend and I include eye contact, attention, and facial expression. Usually, I feel that I give my friend my undivided attention. Other normal characteristics include: remembering what the person has just said so a comment can be made, as well as each comment is appropriate and in relation to the current topic. Moreover, the duration between each question or comment is short.

Socialization is a never ending process that continues to change our perspectives to help us learn and adapt to a social reality. This is just one example of how issues affected people. Issues are a problem that people face daily. Issues can be divided in to social, emotional, physical. An example of a social issue could be bullying. Bullying is a social issues because it is the way a person decided to communicate to another. Depression is an example of an emotional because it has to do with how a person feels inside. An example of a physical issue would be abuse. Social and emotional issues can be seen in families, friends, and depression.

Studies have shown that people tend to perform better when doing a simple or well-rehearsed task rather than complex or new ones. Furthermore, some may suggest that online learning is benefiting our students in society. There has been a breakthrough in time and geographical limitations of education via online courses (Ho, 2009). Online education is cost-effective, efficient, and easily accessible (Schmeeckle, 2003). Online classes are used for individual and independent learning in which the student can learn at their own pace (Gonzalez, 2009). Not only is online education beneficial for breaking down barriers, online education has the potential to help students learn material more efficiently. Students are more likely to seek help from their instructors when the material is taught online (Whipp & Lorentz, 2009). Computer use in statistical classes could help decrease math anxiety (Gundy, Morton, Liu, & Kline, 2006). In a study that measured online students’ ability to achieve the same efficiency of course material as face-to-face students, at least 98% of students reported that they had, so one may be lead to believe that online learning is just as efficient as face-to-face courses (Liebowitz, 2003). With all of the positive aspects of online education, one may wonder why there is any debate as to whether or not online education is beneficial for
