“I believe there is no one principle which predominates in human nature so much in every stage of life, from the cradle to the grave, in males and females, old and young, black and white, rich and poor, high and low, as this passion for superiority” (Qtd. in Moffat 150). This is referring to the fact that no one should be harmed or abused no matter what his or her race, age, or socioeconomic status. Everyone should be treated equally. If it happens to anyone, they should be punished. People are getting abused everyday and we will always need social workers to help solve and handle these situations. Social workers should be highly skilled, more appreciated by society and better paid because of the risks of their jobs and the impact their job has on them personally. To become a social worker, you have to go to school for four or more years. Me, personally want to go to Johnson C. Smith University because they major in Social Services. I want to get top quality education, Social Workers need a Bachelor’s in Social Worker (BSW) to practice. Also Social Workers have to have an academic background in psychology, counseling or related fields may also be suitable. A Child Social Worker makes a salary of 40,680 a year and 19.56 an hour. There are 26 different types of fields in the Social Worker career. People have good intentions often work in Social Services organizations. Most people who contribute to this job have a good feeling about their jobs because this job contribute to fulfilling the Altruistic purpose of the organization. I want to be in the field of Child Social Worker helping out the children that feel harm, no love, unsafe and insecure. Every child should feel loved, safe, secure, and nurture. Social work as a profession strives to help the welfare of those within the community whether its persons or families through advocacy. Often times clients are those who may be vulnerable and disadvantaged. Social workers aim to help people fulfill basic needs in their everyday lives and assist them by providing beneficial resources and intervention counseling. They do more than just help them in their current situation, it’s about helping them to survive and set attainable goals to live a fuller and better life for themselves, and most time for their families.

Identify and explain the three major sources of conflict and misinterpretations in social work practice: culture-bound values, class bound values, and language variables.
Social Workers are very important to everyday life. They are the ones that help people in need when they have nobody else to turn too. Also, they provide resources and better understanding of predicaments that you could be experiencing. I will reflect on how the class has affected me, my own experiences and how some theories have connected to my life experiences, and lastly, if the class helped toward my major. This class is important for someone that wants to become a social worker and wants to learn about the different theories used. Also, learning about me during this process of completing this class is fun and a way to see if the social work profession is right for me. There was many theories explained throughout this class but many will not be said because it wasn’t the main points that I was trying to get across. There are two tools that are used that can help a social worker organize a client’s life: Bubble map and Briefcase exercise. There are so many different ways a social worker can help a client deal with their problems and come up with a solution. It is up to that social worker to identify the client’s problem and see what theory fits.
