Introduction
In this essay, I will be discussing the pros and cons of social networking primarily in education, both staff and student alike, but first off what is social networking!

This is the literal definition of Social Networking (provided by Google) but these days social networking stands for so much more. Social networking is so much more than merely talking to another person through personal messages and emails, social networking has now evolved into group networks where users interact with each other and share experiences, whether it is through mini-games provided by the social network or even the ability to watch films and videos online through social networks. In this report I will be discussing the pros and cons of social networking in the workplace and education (both staff and student)
Positives
One obvious benefit to Facebook/Twitter is it offers businesses and schools/colleges the ability to form personal connections between its customers/students. Potential clients and students will likely come to you or your social media for information and being accessible

We can get into contact immediately with Family, Friends, and other people from around the globe using any of the modern Communication mediums such as a Mobile Device or a Computer. There are many possible ways of Social Networking. You can use Social Networking Websites, Blogging, IMs (Instant Messengers), Chatrooms, and Dating Sites to get connected to people.
In conclusion, various studies across the world have shown that people are equally divided on whether social media should be shut down or encouraged to operate. As such, the issue of whether social networking is good or bad remains a matter of contention. The conceptualization of social media was driven by the goal of enhancing communication among friends and families hence making the world a better place. However, somewhere down the line, it appears that the privileges of social networking have been abused. This has portrayed social networking as not such a good thing. Nevertheless, despite all these challenges, I strongly feel it is a necessary evil. How would the world be without easy communication made possible by social media?
