The internet is extremely vast and the multitudes of people of the world have access to it. Now it has evolved into phones, so now it can be in the palm of our hand.This has given us faster ways to gain contact with others, and various different ways to do so as well. Social media is a satisfactory example of the faster contact we have. Since social media is on the internet many have access to this as well, including colleges and employers. That being said, and since the internet is open to everyone, colleges and employers should be able to check social media to help them pick the candidates, and observe what the applicants are advertising. Most of the time it is a necessity for companies to do online and background research on candidates because of wanting a safe environment to work in.
