Donald Trump in his current Presidential race compared to Animal Farm
Napoleon is a callous animal who takes control of Animal Farm and kicks out Snowball; Napoleon narrates everything he is doing everything for their betterment, which I infer with limpidity is a misleading statement! In my perspective, I think that Napoleon shares a numerous of characteristics with Donald Trump, the most prominent characteristic is they both use fear as their most dominant weapon. Donald trump is using the fear of ISIS to get people to vote in his favor, Donald questions the safety of America and states, it will only be safe without Muslims. This is similar to how Napoleon is using the fear of farmer Jones to make the animals give him power. Donald Trump’s aspiration is to get rid of all Muslims, right? Well, similarly Napoleon wants to get rid of all Humans! With the authority that might belong to Donald Trump, he may take advantage of other races (by doing the same thing, he did to Muslims) like Hindu, Sikh, etc. This is much like how Napoleon started to take advantage of the other animals after getting rid of Farmer Jones and Snowball.

Snowball is intelligent, passionate, eloquent, and less subtle and devious than his counterpart, Napoleon. Snowball seems to win the loyalty of the other animals and cement his power. I believe snowball shares similar characteristics to Jeb Bush. They both were fighting to have authority over America. Snowball was running for president when he was run out by Napoleon’s dogs. This is similar to how Jeb and Trump were fighting for power, but Trump won and cast out Jeb Bush. There is one difference, though, Napoleon forced out Snowball but Trump didn’t force out Jeb, he just defeated Jeb in the presidential
From this announcement, Napoleon competes for equivalent rights to keep the general population cheerful and not revolt. He instructs strategies to a solid tenet to his sibling. Napoleon, himself more likely than not utilized these strategies effectively before showing them to his sibling. Depicting him as force hungry is
Squealer was the propaganda department of Lenin’s government. Squealer would often times persuade the other animals that what Napoleon was doing was for the betterment of all the animals in the farm, the animals not knowing it only benefited the pigs. The propaganda department of Lenin, worked for Stalin to be able to support his image and they often times convince the people to follow the commands of Stalin. They benefited from the fact that education was controlled.
Though Napoleon did not like Snowball, the wasn't really any evidence that he would try to kill Snowball. In the movie, Napoleon, had a bad image already. He had a mean look and shoved his way in front when Old Major gave his speech. There was also gloomy music when they had scenes of him. When the book showed of Napoleon as a bad guy, I was surprised
Later in the novel, Squealer claims that Napoleon is a suitable leader for animal farm, and explains that Snowball is a traitor. Squealer supports this idea by comparing Snowball to Napoleon. The animals were confused on why Snowball was chased off the farm. One of the animal...
Snow white and the seven dwarfs is a classic fairy tale, however most people only know the Disney version of the story, but before Disney’s version there were many others. One of the first versions was written by the Grimm brothers.
Napoleon has an obvious relationship with the famous Russian dictator, Joseph Stalin. Joseph Stalin was the dictator of the Soviet Union who was known from the mid 1920’s to 1953. Just like Napoleon, he was a cold, heartless dictator who would kill anyone who did not agree with what he had, to say just like Napoleon in the book Animal Farm. Napoleon used lots of violence in order to keep and maintain his leading position in Animal Farm. An example of this can be seen when Napoleon is training the puppies, but he is not doing it not for their own education, but instead so that they could protect him and eliminate anyone who stands in his way.
The historical counterpart for Snowball is Leon Trotsky. Snowball wants to improve the lives of all the animals (Orwell, 1990, p.32). He creates the plan of the windmill, but Napoleon later takes the credit for it. The windmill symbolizes Snowball’s efforts of modernization and comfort for all the animals. Similarly, Leon Trotsky wants to improve the people’s lives (Lamont, n.d.). Snowball and Leon Trotsky are both leaders. Moreover, both have people that were against them in their lives. For example, Snowball is opposed by Napoleon and Leon Trotsky is opposed by Joseph Stalin (Weebly, n.d.). Snowball’s leadership qualities and will to improve the lives of all of the animals make him a parallel to Leon Trotsky.
Squealer uses propaganda such as rhetorical questions, lies and threats to convince the animals to believe the pigs. Unfortunately for the animals, they are easily led. If it were not for their blind devotion, trust and naivety, they could easily see how the pigs gradually gained power. The pigs also use the dogs as force to keep the animals ‘in line’, discouraging them from trying to rebel.
Snowball and Napoleon held a great deal of contrast between the way they each ruled over “Animal Farm/Manor Farm.” The only thing he did lack, was the ability of pursuasion to the other animals. Snowball had all the right ideas, all to better the whole farm. Napoleon, on the other hand, had a knack for stealing other animals’ ideas, then telling the rest it was his and getting credit for it. His ideas only seemed to benefit the pigs and not the animals. It was this, that led to the crumbling of the farm. Napoleons obsession with becoming the ruler is what got Snowball nearly killed by the dogs...in a plot made by Napoleon. Which then produced a whole new rebellion not of the animals to the humans, but of the animals to the pigs. So for these reasons, Snowball showed better qualities for leadership than Napoleon because he wasn’t selfish and thought about the future of “Animal Farm.” First, the dominated farm animals viewed Napoleon and Snowball differently at different times throughout the book. The way the animals reacted to each leader brought upon new problems of the farm. The animals respected Snowball, and believed that his teachings were all true and had a good cause. Although Snowball and Napoleon had superior qualities leadership, it was clearly Snowball who had the better qualities for running a farm. Under Snowballs’ rule, the animals were generally content with what was going on and were all for it if it was to better the farm. It was obvious that Napoleon had the better half of getting his own way on the farm. However, the animals had some problems with Napoleon but they didn’t know haw to express their feelings and show him that they didn’t like the way he ran things. It was the animals’ ignorance that helped keep Napoleon in rule for as long as it was. The responses were so different between the animals that it must have been a drastic change between Snowball and Napoleon.
Snowball is the other main leader in animalism, along side Napoleon. He was the one who was most interested in the well being of the animals and their education. The complete opposite of Napoleon. I fell if he had not been chased away (assassinated) then the idea of communism may have succeeded.
Snowball the mirror image of Leon Trotsky, in all except appearance is the most promising leader of Animal Farm. Like Trotsky, Snowball is a kind ruler who is best interested in the prosperity and happiness of his ?comrades?. Snowball brought literacy and equality to Animal Farm through his teachings, and the writing of the Seven Commandments. Another way in which Snowball is similar to Trotsky is his role in the Battle of the Cowshed, where he organized the farms defenses and was the key to victory. Much like when Leon Trotsky organized the Red Army. Both Snowball and Trotsky were excellent public speakers and could win a crowds favor easily. ?Snowball was a more vivacious pig than Napoleon, quicker in speech and more inventive, but was not considered to have the same ...
Animal Farm, by George Orwell has many characters that portray someone who is concerned with self-preservation. From all of the characters I feel Squealer is most concerned with self-preservation because he will do and say anything to protect himself. He is constantly promoting Napoleon, and wanting all of the other animals to support him as well. Squealer will trick the other animals to make it look like the things Napoleon and himself do is benefitting all of the other animals.
The relationship surrounding Snowball and Napoleon in George Orwell's Animal Farm tends to be on rocky grounds. Snowball, a clever pig, tends to be loyal, brave, and outgoing. These are just a few excellent qualities of a leader. Napoleon, a boar, on the other hand, is quite frankly rude, wretched, and full of greed. Both have had their share of leadership on the farm, yet both have had their share of conflict as well.
Napoleon uses propaganda to persuade the animals in his favor and to change history. He is able to use propaganda effectively because he has the brains to do so and has the power to make the other animals believe it. He knows that the other animals are not as
Snowball is a “vivacious pig… quicker in speech and more inventive, but was not considered to have the same depth of character” (Orwell, 13). Snowball is a brilliant speaker who “won over the majority by his brilliant speeches” (43). Snowball is lively and friendly, and truly believes that all animals are equal. He believes in Animalism, where all animals shared equal labor and the fruits of their labor.
