I am Kaylee Sabo and I am applying to the Smithfield Alumni Association Scholarship. My grandmother, Irene Sabo, graduated from Smithfield High School in. My grandfather, Arthur Sabo also graduated from Smithfield High School in , but passed away before I was born. I think this scholarship should be awarded to me because it would help me accomplish my dreams. I also am a hard worker and with this scholarship going to me, you will know it will be put to good use. With this scholarship, I will also be able to participate in different clubs and volunteer which I would love to do.
This scholarship may only be worth $500, but every little bit will help reach my dreams. I am planning on going to the Ohio State University in the fall and major in Chemical Engineering. I have dreamed of becoming a Chemical Engineer since I was a freshman and did a report on colleges majors. I love chemistry, math, physics, and problem-solving. Chemical Engineering combines all of those things. It is my dream major and there are only six schools in Ohio that have it. I visited all of them and just fell in love with the Ohio State University campus and feel like I belong there. I do not know what career exactly I would like to get into after I obtain my

I have tried my best all throughout high school and have taken challenging courses such as Calculus and Physics 2. I love a challenge and figuring how to complete one. No matter what the challenge is I will try my best to complete it. In classes such as Calculus or Chemistry, if a problem in class stumps me, I will bring it home just to figure it out and prove to myself I can do it. I do this even if it is not homework. I hope going to college will give me different challenges so I can prove that I am even more hard-working individual and this scholarship will help me get there. If I receive this scholarship, you would know it went to a hard-working student and the money would be put to good
Over all, I believe I embody the type of person this foundation is trying to help through this scholarship. This scholarship would mean the world to me and my family, it would help me achieve all my goals and dreams. I am confident that I am a Strong Candidate for the HSF Scholarship, and I believe I am very well rounded in all aspects of the requirements. Thank you for conserving my
Thank you so much for allowing me to be one of Babbitt Men’s Club Golf Scholarship winners at the 2016 Graduation Banquet. I have been enjoying school, learning advanced and intriguing new information at Mesabi Range college, and meeting new people. I plan to attend Mesabi Range College for another year; during this year I will be obtaining an LPN diploma to become a Practical Nurse, having graduated this Spring with my Associates Degree. One of the prerequisites for this program is acquiring a CNA certificate; a nurse’s assistant certificate. This course is 4 credits and I will be taking it in the Summer semester. I plan on using the money from the Babbitt Men’s Club Scholarship to pay for this class, taking the first step towards my career
In a world where most college freshmen do not graduate or dropout, i feel like it would mean to much more to me to graduate and be able to say I got my degree. studies have said that half of freshman will not complete there degree, another study said that 25% of freshmen will change their major before they finish their sophomore year. If i was given this scholarship money it would put me in a place where hopefully I won't become just another statistic. Another reason a college degree is important for me to achieve is so that i will be respected in my work industry of choice. When you are in a place of work, there is always someone who everyone looks up to because they know the most about certain things, but more often than not that person has the highest degree in his or her field. If I was awarded this scholarship i would be more capable of being that person because i would not have to worry about leaving school to figure out how I will pay off my
Getting this scholarship was my jump start to furthering my education and I knew from there that I was going to prove statistics wrong. I knew I was going to college and that things were going to be different for me and I was going to make a difference. I won’t be the black kid who drops out of school, because my education is too important to
This letter is to recommend, Ms. Marissa Korte, for your Rhodes, Marshall, and/or Mitchell Scholarships
I plan to graduate from College of the Sequoias with an Associate’s Degree in communications and to maintain a grade point average of at least a 3.7. Once I earn my degree, I will transfer to a university where I will begin to work on my master’s degree. With my master’s degree I can pursue my dream of working for Disney Parks in public relations. While I am still a college student, I will apply and hopefully be given the opportunity to participate in the Disney College Program as well as a Disney Professional Internship. These internships will help me to learn more about working in the field of communications, to gain practical experience and to network with individuals who can help me achieve my career goals. A scholarship would be incredibly helpful for me to achieve all that I intend to by allowing me to devote more time to my school work. Since I currently work two jobs, as a tutor and as a sales associate, it is often difficult to find time and energy to complete my schoolwork. If I were to earn a scholarship, it would allow me to work fewer hours a week so that I can focus more of my energy and time on my education. That way, I can get the best grades possible and have the best chance of success in my
Feel I qualify for this scholarship because I love to help people. Through different experiences, such as sports and school, I have learned and demonstrated various leadership skills. Being a Link crew leader not only taught me how to be a leader but, it help me have faith in myself and to always look up to younger people. I joined link crew so I could help our new 10 graders find their way around, and to feel included and accepted at their new school. For example during orientation in august I was giving good amount of advice to my sophomore group to be able to survive high school since I am a senior this year This made me proud and humbled that I could make a huge impact in someone's life. Another reason is I am good at organization and
I need this scholarship to achieve my goals and most importantly to make my family proud. My family did not get this chance that you are giving me so I am not just doing this for me, I am also doing this for them. I already have all the support from all of my family and all of my friends, but that alone is not enough to conquer my dreams, and to prove all the people that have doubted me that they were wrong. I hope that this organization can help me reach my goals, and to most importantly make them become a reality. I want to look back onto my life and know that this scholarship, and college helped me to be the man I will be. I hope you accept me into your college and most importantly giving me this
I deserve to win the $1,000 Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship because I will change lives with its help. I plan to become an early childhood educator and will continue with school until I become just that. I believe that with the help of this scholarship, I will help many children reach goals that are just as significant as my own. Also, I will be able to set an example for children who may have not come from financially stable homes, and show that anything is possible if you put forth the effort. My parents are divorced and I have been evicted from 2 homes in the past three years; however that has not stopped me from getting my high school diploma and setting further goals for myself.
With all of the downfalls that I have experienced in my academic and personal life, a college education will make it possible for me to continue my journey into becoming a prestigious corporate lawyer. I have the drive for success and I am certain that with this scholarship I will be able to pay off my debt and help my mother with her own educational goals. I was content that I was able to encourage her to attend school and I am most fortunate to be given an opportunity to help both her and myself achieve our ultimate goals for the near future.
I am deeply grateful to be given the opportunity to apply to such an important organization as National Honor Society. To me, it reflects that I have achieved my goal of working as hard as I can to set an example in both my school and community, and I could not be more honored. This organization does great things for any community it touches, and I believe that I can play a part in furthering the impression that is made.
Coming from a family with no college education, a college degree has always been a lifetime goal and dream of mine. My mom and dad have worked in furniture factories since their graduation from high school, and I have seen their personal struggles, and it has only pushed me harder to want to attend college. My parents have always worked hard to bless me with all they could, but paying for college is out of their control, therefore I am heavily relying on scholarships. Receiving the Phil Jones Memorial Scholarship would mean everything to me and would be a tremendous help for me while at ICC and UMMC. If I could win this scholarship, it would help me achieve the goal of staying away from student loans and debt.
I believe that I should be the frontrunner to win the CNB Bank Scholarship because of my work ethic with at my education as well as my past and current accomplishments. To start, I feel that the recipient of the CNB Bank Scholarship should display persistent work ethic. Throughout my four years at Bradford Area High School I have accomplished many achievements. During my education it is to my knowledge that I have never missed an assignment deadline. I feel that this credits the effort I put into my education. I managed to meet these deadlines while juggling two different jobs. The person to win the CNB Bank Scholarship should be someone who represents their community and their selves accordingly. From the time that I walked into kindergarten to now I am still yet to be disciplined in school, whether it is for academic or behavioral reasons. When speaking about the community, I have donated numerous personal hours to help charities raise money. In
I, Sandeep Singh, will be an excellent candidate for the Maple Heights Teachers’ Association Laptop Scholarship. I will be attending Kent State University and majoring in Biology and minoring in Website Design. I plan on getting a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Kent State University, then attending Ohio State University for medical school. Afterwards, I plan on specializing in Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic. After establishing myself in my career as a Cardiovascular surgeon I plan on opening up my own practice in both the United States of America, and India. My uncle recently passed away due to heart problems. I saw the impact his death had on my family, and I do not want a death that could have been avoided to happen to another family.
Not only is Texas A&M a more expensive college, this scholarship will ease the financial burden of college and will help me to continue my education while taking on as little debt as possible. Being successful is something that I have always wanted, and without being able to pay for college or be drowning in debt, I would not be able to get a good job or be able to support a family. I have already put in countless hours of long nights and late study sessions to do my best in school. Continuing my education will validate my hard work and make college an even more rewarding experience. With my education, I want to be a petroleum engineer, who can make a difference and change the oil is collected and refined. This will give me the opportunity
