A dog is running through the woods. There is a rabbit that it saw. The rabbit was slower but it was quicker it was able to run circles around the dog. The dog was chasing and chasing this rabbit through the woods. The dog was panting with his tongue hanging out of his mouth. BANG!!! Out of nowhere, a loud gunshot rang throughout the woods. It echoed back “BANG”. Then the dog. The dog lets out a sharp whine. It knew only one thing though it kept trying to chase the rabbit, which was long gone. The dog whimpered and limped on his leg. He was in pain and could barely walk. Then came a man. The man was holding a gun. He was also dressed in camo from head to toe. The man was a hunter. He had shot the dog an accident. He wanted to shoot the rabbit but had missed and shot the dog. He grabbed the dog and ran him to his car. He had tears streaming down his face. A small animal veterinarian is the most well known. They generally work on pets such as dogs, cats, birds, fishes, and much more. A veterinarian large animal veterinarian, on the other hand, will normally work on animals such as cows or horses. A zoo veterinarian is a veterinarian that works for the zoo. Veterinary technicians are like the techies of the theatre; the organization would be able to function without them, but it would be much harder. Things run a lot more smoothly with vet techs. There are multiple benefits that come with being a veterinary technician. These benefits include, but are not limited to, a high job outlook, great room for advancement, and only two years of schooling (depending on the route you take). Above all, the animals, who aren’t always able to help themselves, are being taken care of.
Vet Tech has always been an option for me, helping animals is something that is very interesting. It was introduced in 1989, the AVMA officially adopted the name “Vet Tech.” In 1998, emergency vets debut on Animal Planet. And in 2008, student population grows from 500 to 700. There are about 17,000 people employed in the career field chosen. Some of the common trends of the job would be, working at Zoos, Aquariums, Boarding Kennels, and Wildlife sanctuaries. These jobs are usually found working in an animal clinic or hospitals and sometimes at farms because that is the “normal” areas for this occupation. In this career there are some general duties such as: Observe animals behavior and conditions, Provide nursing care, Bathe animals, Clip nails, groom animals hair, keep animals calm during exams or procedures. The more specific duties of the job would be to: take x-rays of animals and develop them, get utensils and prepare the animals for surgery, keep and record patient's history. Most of the clinics are open 24 hours. There is not anything that is unusual about the number of hours/nature of the job. (Bls.gov.vettech)
A vet tech can work in different work environments, such as animal hospitals, and private clinics. Working in various, environments create skillful tasks, which include: lab work, radiology, nursing care, surgery, x-rays, and assisting veterinarians in surgeries (Money Careers). Each of these tasks require their own abilities helping needy animals, for example: lab work deals with collecting samples of tissue, blood, and urine, nursing involves with taking care of the animals after the surgeries and checking on how their responding to the procedure (U.S. Bureau of Labor).
“The most successful Veterinary Technicians are passionate about the animals that they see on a daily basis and be able to control their emotions” (Career Cruising). The care of animals is very important so they don’t feel threatened by the Veterinary Technician and claw, bite, or growl at them. Veterinary Technicians must show their love of animals to the patients and their owners. many animals will feel the emotions that people give off and the animal can react to that emotion in a good or in a bad case bad. A Vet Technicians job is to be calm and not show emotions to the patient and family so the family won’t have emotional distress towards the clinic.
For this project, I decided to take on the career of a veterinarian. As a veterinarian, I would have to examine animals to diagnose their health problems, treat and dress wounds, perform surgery on animals, test for and vaccinate against diseases, operate medical equipment(x-ray machines, etc.), advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments, prescribe medication, and euthanize animals. To get a job in this profession, you have to have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. You also have to have to take many science classes including biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, zoology, microbiology, and animal science. You would have to take about four years of college which adds up to about $100,000 dollars in student

Veterinarian, Vet Technician and Vet Assistants are a very controversial description of a career to someone that may not know there is a difference. The biggest controversial part of the veterinary career is the difference of what is a Vet Tech and what is a Vet Assistant and how they compare to each other. There are a lot of the same duties for a them, but there are also quite a few differences of responsibilities, pay rate and schooling.
Equine veterinarians are animal doctors who provide medical care for horses. They examine, test and occasionally operate on or euthanize the animals. When I was growing up and always playing with animals, I realized what I might want to do with my life. Since animals are, for the most part, vulnerable and helpless, they need someone to take care of them. For animals in need to survive and carry on, there must be a caring person willing to take time out of their day to care for these animals. This person is responsible for providing care such as feeding, cleaning, giving water and administering medication to animals in veterinary offices, zoos, laboratories or animal hospitals. This person is called a veterinary assistant (Writer).
Veterinarians can be employed by government agencies and the food indudtry to cater to meat and milk producers to ensure that the herd is healthy and that the product is suitable for human consumption. These veterinarians deal with many animals like ovine (sheep), poultry, porcine (swine) and bovine

It was a great summer afternoon when Bernard was playing lacrosse with his best friend and his neighbor. At three o'clock they all went home. Since they were in Bernards backyard he didn’t have to walk much. When he got home he went to his fridge and got a Coke. Bernard heard a small creak, then he looked at the door. The doorknob turned Bernard was completely sure of it. His heart was pounding so fast he thought he was having a heart attack. The floor started cracking on the other side of the door. He wanted to run, but since he wasn’t very fast he opened the door. He looked up, down, right, and left. He saw nothing. Then he heard the door creak behind him. He turned around nothing again. He heard footsteps running and he saw a shadow go behind the stairs. He yelled, “Who are you?” No response so he yelled again. Still nothing. He looked around and as he was looking the intruder started running. Bernard started running. Immediately, as my dad and I was walking to the deer stand, my thoughts were that this hunt already felt like any other night hunt I had ever been on. My dad and I together chose which stand we would hunt from the choices on the board. We arrived at the box stand, which was fifteen feet tall, then we climbed in and got comfortable. In the meantime, we were looking around to find any sign of a deer. Meanwhile, as we were sitting quietly in the stand, we suddenly heard something. We could tell that the noise was something running through the trees extremely fast! Suddenly, there she was, a doe, creeping out from the bushes. At that moment, I was only able to see her head. I was getting so nervous, and I didn 't know what to do; however, my dad told me to stay calm and breathe. As she was walking into the field, stopping along the way to eat, I prepared my gun in order to shoot. My dad told me to take the shot whenever I was ready, so within the next couple of seconds I pulled the trigger. BOOM! She’s down! I had shot her; however, I knew I hit her, but she ran
