Sixth form prefect application

I have been actively involved and made the most of my school time here at Harrow since my first arrival in year 10. During this time I was able to achieve seven A*s and significantly improved my English ability. After my first place in the open film competition three years ago, I have always tried to put my video editing / filming ability into good use. My past works include Drama Production DVDs, East Meet West pre-production video, 2013 yearbook DVDs of the Benefit Bash + Gala Concert and the recruitment ads of the RAWR team. Beside school events, I have also filmed or make/edit print designs to help others when need arises, for example the Student Jam, Year 11 Prom and the monthly Coffee House poem events. From these past experiences, I applied for Sonakul’s Media Captain and now in charge of the House’s weekly Assembly slideshow, scrap book, House films and videos of House events. In order to reach a wider audience in school, I have filmed, edited and upload a large number of videos on House events as well as whole school activities with permission from staff members. Last year, I started a film making activity with participation of students from prep to sixth form to assemble film enthusiast around the school. Recently, I have introduced Lego Stop motion by showing the method along with tips and tricks to younger students in the infant school through an invitation after my friend showed them one of my video. All of these were done using my own equipments and high commitment, without any extra funding at all. ...g video, graphic or IT or support the senior prefects in managing particular projects using my mentioned skills, qualities and experiences.

As mentioned above, I will be able to use my media expertise to work alongside with other members to produce moving pictures or print productions as require by the prefect team or the school, at the same time taking responsibility for specific assignments given by the prefect team. This can include the promotion of the sixth form and prefect’s events such as the prefect video every year. In addition, I can commit to perform regular lunch time or morning duties and communicate with students beyond the sixth form. Through this, I can be a good role model to influence younger student in school. At the same time, I would like to help everyone in the sixth form and prefect team to be able to share their ideas and make a difference.
