Six Flags Code of Conduct Revisions and Contemporary Problems The three contemporary problems I have found with Six Flags is, stealing time from the company by being on the Internet instead of working. The second contemporary problem I found was treating customers differently because of their race, disabilities or sexual preference. The third problem I found was the behavior/language of the employees and customers at Six Flags. These three problems are an ethical problem as well, as goes against the moral conduct, do not steal, be honest and be fair. The first revision that I would make to the Six Flags Code of Conduct would be the policy “Zero Means Zero: No Discrimination or Harassment.” …show more content…
I would rewrite the policy and have a set of prequalifying rules to asset individuals with before allowing them to ride a ride. Not all disabilities are the same and nor should they all be asset the same way. Safety should always come first if the individual who wants to ride the ride is unable to hold their own head up, body weight and hold onto the safety bars they should not be allowed to ride. The value of life principle is, that all human life must be respected and protected. With the “no discrimination policy” in effect, human life is not being protected or respected. Some individual’s handicaps prevent them from holding on to lap bars, chest harnesses and sitting correctly in the seat for safety. There have been many incidents leading to bodily harm and even fatal accidents caused by individuals not proper being strapped in or unable to hold on to the safety bars. James Hackemer, Army Amputee was allowed to ride the coaster called “Ride of Steel,” and fell to his …show more content…
In this part of the policy it states all guests should behave in a family manner. No line jumping, profanity and no bad behavior. The policy says that if any of these rules are broken “You may be thrown out of the park without a refund.” The changes should be “You will be thrown out without a refund and banded from the park for the remainder of the year. If it occurs the second time after the first banishment than you will be permanently banned from all Six Flags for life. The reasons behind my changes in the Six Flags Amusement Park policy are because if an individual is aware of the consequences of their actions they might think twice before acting. The Consequentialist theory morally judges based on outcome of a situation, some people need to know what the punishment of their actions will be, before they know if it is right or wrong. Young children attend these parks with their families, these children learn from their environment and from adult’s examples, if they are exposed to this type of behavior they will repeat the behavior and or language. When an individual uses profanity and bad behavior that is not doing the right thing or being good. They are leading by an example and it is a bad one. Children need to learn how to be good, to do right and to live by a moral code of

Six Flags works off of project control charts, which enables the managers to see different flow charts. This helps the managers to see how the project is coming along with the
P4: ‘The parks can be cruel to the animals they hold because they put a restriction the freedom they would normally have in the wild’ (para 5).
My group previously visited the Sheraton Hotel for our first interview with the front desk manager and it went very well. We decided to keep with the same hotel for our next interview, but due to a last-minute cancellation from the housekeeping manager we were not able to complete the interview. Due to this situation, I will be talking about a whole different hotel - G6 Hospitality. The name G6 Hospitality refers to the hotel brands – Motel 6 and Studio 6. I chose to G6 Hospitality because it is a well-known company that I wanted to know about more in-depth. From all my research, I have gained a lot of insight on what G6 Hospitality is all about.
Traveling to an amusement park is a family’s finest way to bond, but is it worth the time and drive to attend just any amusement park? This essay will compare and contrast Six Flags San Antonio, SeaWorld San Antonio, and Disney World Florida from price range, food, and the variety of rides.
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
After recording the behaviors of disabled and nondisabled guests at Downtown Disney, it became evident that the social construction of disability may have an influence on the amount of interest or engagement shown between individuals. Based on the observations recorded, it appears that the nondisabled people seemed to show a lack of interest or regard for the disabled people involved in the interactions. Although it may not have been overt, it seemed nondisabled people exhibited subtle signs of superiority over disabled people, appearing to treat them as if they were helpless or burdensome.
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is one of the most significant laws in American History. Before the ADA was passed, employers were able to deny employment to a disabled worker, simply because he or she was disabled. With no other reason other than the person's physical disability, they were turned away or released from a job. The ADA gives civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities similar to those provided to individuals on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, age, and religion. The act guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations, employment, transportation, State and local government services, and telecommunications. The ADA not only opened the door for millions of Americans to get back into the workplace, it paved the road for new facilities in the workplace, new training programs, and created jobs designed for a disabled society (Frierson, 1990). This paper will discuss disabilities covered by the ADA, reasonable accommodations employers must take to accommodate individuals with disabilities, and the actions employers can take when considering applicants who have disabilities.
It wasn't until after World War II that people with disabilities became more prominent. This was partly due to the many soldiers who returned with disabilities from traumatic injuries suffered during combat. This led to the creation of the Stoke Mandeville Centre in England where international wheelchair sports competitions were held for the first time in 1944 (Sherrill, 1998). This ...
Every year since I was a freshman in high school my family would all pack into our car and head to Six Flags for my father’s job. This was usually one day I could count on for unexpected entertainment. Each year was a new experience in the making because one year it may be sunny or one year it may rain, but HEY! Its Georgia weather what can you do about it?

...ongful conditions are protected. Animals are not ours to use for entertainment, and if they are, then it should be fun to both the person and the animals. However, animals do not volunteer. Everything they do is not because they want to, it’s because they are pressured and forced to. They’re afraid of what could happen if they don’t do what they are told to do and don't want to risk the consequences. Animals contribute to the beauty and health of our living environment and for that they should be protected. Instead of using one another, we should live peacefully and in harmony. We all must take time to watch out for animal abuse in these parks and other similar establishments to help prevent the dangers that happen upon the poor, defenseless animals. Really, we are the only ones that could stand up for these animals and help put an end to this once and for all.
People find pleasure in others pain, people can wrongfully but sincerely decide that a two-minute pleasure outweighs the stable happiness they could’ve had for the next several years, and is the satisfaction of desire what brings about true happiness? These questions and variances are real and without definite answer, yet the consequentialist assumes more than is there and ignores the ever important value of the individual’s preference towards specific pleasures and pains. However, even among the consequential community there is a heavy disagreement about just what and what not a consequentialist is to base judgments from, excluding the obvious that is it should be action-based. Act consequentialism looks at every single moral choice anew. In a situation where an extremely serious moral choice is bound to be made, individuals may well think long about the consequences of particular moral choices in this way. Such deliberate thought is hugely useful for such occurrences, but when applied to the much more trivial choices that make up the large majority or our days and weeks actually serves as a deterrent from being a decisive human and, thus leads to a less valuable life: If these act consequentialists were everywhere, individuals would feel morally obligated to research the consequences of their actions before they take them to make an
