A. Singapore:
Singapore Health system is widely regarded as a premier example of a well-constructed health care system.
Some key features for consideration:
• Prerequisite that Singaporeans invest in a health savings program, that is appropriately named – Medisave, the concept resembles a 401K retirement savings plan.
• Transparency with regards to expenditures for services rendered and procedures must be crystal-clear.
• The system compels that the individual take personal responsibility for their own well-being, and as a result their own individual expenditure on medical care.
• “In Singapore’s system, the primary role of government is to require people to save in order to meet medical expenses they don’t expect” (Callick, 2008).

Some interesting concepts were that in a designed policy hospitals receive a per diem, that is determined by the type of hospital classification, and that even patients will contribute an amount throughout their hospital stay. Another interesting aspect that came to light was that private practitioners still make home visits in some nations.
The French specifically altered their tax funding scheme, increased oversight that originates with their Parliament, and constituted the development of regional hospital bureaus.Commitment to the designed French policy is the concept of a shared responsibility that originates at both the regional and national levels, and the that the French Ministry of Health has specific regulatory powers. VI. Possible Solutions:
During the course of conducting research, reality is that there is no clearly defined system, that would adequately address our nation’s requirements in implementing a universal policy. Each nation’s health system on a global scale faces a myriad of issues regardless of the health care policy being utilized. Yes, some are more favorable than others, but all, regardless of the applied policy are facing a crisis with costs and the ability to continuous financing of said programs.
Some nations through the course of developing policy have incorporated some mechanism’s that are truly unique, international health care models that have some degree of operating and serving their nations populations basically have a foundation built on a contrasting median of:
• Centralized or government control
• Regulation
• Cost-sharing
Therefore, a hybrid system may offer the best
With all the focus our country has recently put on Healthcare I thought is necessary to look at a country which has used a Universal Health care model to understand where we as a country are heading and why so many people are opposed to it. For years I have heard that Japanese healthcare was one of the best in the world and known of people who would travel to Japan to receive treatment. Japan has been at the forefront of technology and it seems that the use of that technology has helped them advance in Health Care as well. In comparing both Japanese and American Health Care Systems I am hoping to find if Japanese Health Care is better than our American Health Care System.

The facts bear out the conclusion that the way healthcare in this country is distributed is flawed. It causes us to lose money, productivity, and unjustly leaves too many people struggling for what Thomas Jefferson realized was fundamental. Among industrialized countries, America holds the unique position of not having any form of universal health care. This should lead Americans to ask why the health of its citizens is “less equal” than the health of a European.
As of April 1, 2010, many changes in the health care structure is changing. Many of these changes are reorganizing the responsibilities of who makes the decisions on how services are commissioned, the way money is spent and issuing more involvement from local authorities and opening up comp...
Despite the established health care facilities in the United States, most citizens do not have access to proper medical care. We must appreciate from the very onset that a healthy and strong nation must have a proper health care system. Such a health system should be available and affordable to all. A health care system that provides free health care services to its entire citizen can be termed as universal health care. This is a situation where all citizens are protected from financial costs in health care. It is recognized around the globe as it provides a specific package of benefits to all citizens in the entire nation. For instance, free health care can result to improved health outcomes. In addition, it provides financial risk protection and an improved access to health services. There is an increasing debate on how citizen should be provided with free medical services. Although United State does not permit free health care services it should have free health care for all citizens. This is due to the fact that healthcare is the largest industry in United State. Due to the fact that United State is a rich country, it should have a healthcare system that provides free services such as treatment for its entire citizen. This will play a significant role, as it will stop medical bankruptcies in...
The implementation of a universal health care system in the United States is an important challenge that needs to be overcome. There are numerous amount of editorial that argue on both sides of the debate. Some people argue that a universal health care system would bring costs down and increase access to care while others argue that a universal health care system would be too expensive and reduce the quality of care. The correct answer requires intensive understanding and economics to overcome, the arguments must be examined for a proper answer.
A country’s health care system refers to all the institutions, programs, personnel, procedures, and the resources that are used to meet the health needs of its population. Health care systems vary from one country to another, depending on government policies and the health needs of the population. Besides, health care programs are flexible in the sense that they are tailored to meet health needs as they arise. Among the stakeholders in the formulation of a country’s health care system are governments, religious groups, non-governmental organizations, charity organizations, trade/labor unions, and interested individuals (Duckett, 2008). These entities formulate, implement, evaluate, and reform health services according to the needs of the sections of the population they target.

Long-term care insurance is also required for those older than 40. As Dr. John W. Traphagan notes in The Diplomat, Japan controls costs by setting flat rates for everything from medications to procedures, thus eliminating competition among insurance providers. While most of the country 's hospitals are privately owned and operated, the government implements smart regulations to ensure that the system remains universal and egalitarian.”
Comparative advantage means that an industry, firm, country or individual are able to produce goods and services at a lower opportunity cost than others which are also producing the same goods and services. Also, in order to be profitable, the number in exports must be higher than the number in import. From the diagram we seen above, Singapore is seen to have a comparative advantage in some services. The services are Transport, Financial, business management, maintenance & Repair and Advertising & Market Research, etc. These export services to other countries improve the balance of payment. On the other side, Singapore is seen to have a comparative disadvantage in some services. The services are Travel, Telecommunications, Computer & Information,
Everyone country has success or strengths within its health care system. These strengths have helped revolutionize the country’s health care system into what it is today.
Health care has always been an interesting topic all over the world.
