Integration was the hardest thing for everybody back in the old days and none of it would have happened without the one and only Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. Without the protest or anything if it wouldn't of even happen who knows what this world would be like today… Martin Luther King was a completely different person compared to Malcolm X including the way they acted in protest’s. King wanted peace in the world and no more violence between black’s and white’s, wanted to be able to work together with each other. During his protest he would always make sure it was going to be peaceful and no violence with the community. The king was also shot and killed in his own front after answering it he was shot dead. for his strong protest that turn into violence trying to fight for their rights but in that way was not helping them get anywhere in the protest’s. He was more focused and concerned on helping to have blacks get along which didn't get anywhere to help with their protest. Was a black political activist, and a Muslim Minister. Martin Luther king was always looked up to more than Malcolm X because of his speeches and his very big leadership role he had played in many marches. Malcolm X had a different way of protest by them always turning violent and people being injured and hurt by police officers and white people that had been very racist to them in that state of time. After all the hard work and effort they had put in the ending the both ended up being shot and killed. The ways they were alike during the protest and their civil rights movements during the 1990’s. During some of their protest people had been murdered, beat up and hurt the way the authorities would not even care except for arrest them and proved not guilty in court. They have fought for what the people wanted and both had been african american leaders. Both wanted the same to improve the status of black people.
The similarity between Susan B. Anthony speech and Martin Luther King Juniors “I Have a Dream” speech is that they are fighting for the equality of America. Susan B. Anthony is fighting for women being able to vote like everyone else. Martin Luther King is fighting for the equality of African Americans. Both just want to see America as an equal place instead of discrimination against others based on race or gender. Even though their message has similarities the way they delivered them was different.
In contrast, Dr. King believed in the change through nonviolent methods, influenced by Gandhi. He also showed his readiness to work with whites toward social justice. However, X and Dr. King, with their two different ideologies, wanted to attain the same goal, Afro-Americans’ freedom (Malcolm X).

An era where the status quo was blatant hatred and oppression of African Americans, a time when a black son would watch his father suffer the indignity of being called a “boy” by a young white kid and say nothing in reply but “yes sir”. Where a Black person can be whipped or lynched for anything as little as not getting off the sidewalk when approaching a white person, for looking into their eyes, or worse, “for committing the unpardonable crime of attempting to vote.” In the midst of the racial crises and fight for social equality were Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. who despite their difference in philosophies were “icons of social justice movement both in the United States and around the world” .

Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X were very significant during the Civil Rights Movement. Both were excellent speakers and shared one goal but had two different ways of resolving it. Martin Luther King Jr. chose to resolve the issues by using non-violence to create equality amongst all races to accomplish the goal. Malcolm X also wanted to decrease discrimination and get of segregation but by using another tactic to successfully accomplish the similar goal. Martin Luther King Jr. is considered the formative figure in the modern fight for the civil rights movement and fought for racial equality with something much stronger than tolerance. Based on some of the things Malcolm has done, Martin Luther King Jr. definitely had a different way of approaching issues. With both of their totally different ways of getting their point across, discussion could be made on who was more effective in the civil rights movement as a whole. If Malcolm X wasn't around and fighting for civil rights around the same time as MLK was doing it here he probably would of had much of a chance and would have just been killed, he in a way motivated the whole world into fighting for civil rights in their country, without his “black power” philosophy. He was easily in the top five people that got the civil rights movement to follow its course and end up getting equality for black and white. Malcolm X was orphaned early in life.
