Two completely different stories, one must say when both movies are held in hand. How can an animated Disney movie and an action film directed by the one and only Quentin Tarantino are related. Well, it is all about logic.
Both stories contain two “unalike” main characters of two “unalike” movies. In Kill Bill, Beatrix Kiddo also known as The Bride or Black Mamba. She is a woman that lacks mercy, compassion, and forgiveness, but with so much history. Former integrant of a very dangerous clan, The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad, led by “Bill”. Beatrix Kiddo, is seeking revenge after her former lover and boss, Bill, and the rest of the squad, killed nine people in her wedding rehearsal, including her unborn daughter, which she thought was dead but finds out she wasn’t in Kill Bill Vol.2. They leave her in a comma and wakes up four years and six months later with a vermin to kill. So she makes a list including all five persons responsible for this massacre, her goal is to scratch all those names by killing them. It is very much shown her determination to kill those who betrayed her. In Spirited Away, there is Chihiro, a small, weak and can come across as fragile kid. Sad

She does achieve her objective when … and The Bride’s goal is to kill all the people in her list to avenge her daughters “death” and as a payback for what they did to her. In the first movie, she kills Vernita Green a.k.a Copperhead and O-Ren Ishii a.k.a Cottonmouth. In the second one, Elle Driver a.k.a Californian Mountain Snake kills Budd a.k.a GTGT and The Bride kills Budd. And in the end, she kills Bill. Killing Bill was her main goal, murdering the others were minor goals that helped reach him, but not only did she kills him, but she also found her supposed to be dead daughter. Both of these characters have things in common, and one of them is their determination to fulfill their
Hook--Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. (Christopher Wallace) were different in many ways, but there were also some major similarities between them. While they were both extremely influential rappers in their day, there was a lot of fighting between them considering the fact that Tupac was a West Coast rapper, and Biggie --The Notorious B.I.G.-- was an East Coast rapper. Tupac tended to be a lot more poetic and respectful to women he had better lyrics than Biggie, but Tupac had little flow.
In both the novel and movie focus on the war. The war influences the characters to enroll. Also, the main setting is at the Devon School. However, in the novel Gene visits Leper at his house but in the movie Leper lives in the woods. In the novel Gene is coming back to the Devon School 15 years later. However, in the book he is coming to Devon as a new student. Therefore, similarities and differences exist in time and setting in the novel and the movie. In the novel and the movie there are similarities and differences in events, character, and time and setting.
They both have a theme of racism and the author gave out what it was like for the black community in the past on having to go threw what they did everyday. In these novels, the characters and the society are alike however, unfortunately they have different endings.
... almost nothing alike from a superficial aspect. The stories have different historical contexts and they simply don’t have much in common to the average audience. It is easy to contrast the stories, but deep within certain elements, the stories can be linked in several ways.
many similarities, the differences in the two stories stand out magnificently. In the film Life Is
These two films come from entirely different genres, have entirely different plots, and are even based in entirely different galaxies, but the share the theme of the hero’s journey. This concept can be equally applied to nearly every book, movie, and other such works, as long as you dig under the surface and find the meaning beneath. The elements of the hero’s journey are found in both films, and with a critical eye, can be found all around us. This is the classic story of the hero; in every shape and form an author can apply it too.
There are many differences and similarities in the book, movie, and both. The book is some what different from the movie. There are many differences between the book and the movie. Like when PonyBoy and Johnny went to the movie theater Pony wished that he was big and buff like the guy in the movie.
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen. To Kill a Mockingbird depicts a mixture of sorrow and suspense that takes place in Alabama during the 1930s when the south is permeated with racial prejudice. Both Atticus Finch and Mrs. Dubose display tremendous courage throughout the course of the novel.
and the film was made in 1994. It was much more surrealistic because this version of the film was based on a young boy's dream. Setting The biggest difference between the two film is the setting and place.
“Say hello to my little friend” is one of the most notorious lines in film history. Before writing this paper, I was unaware that Brian DePalmer’s Scarface was a remake of Hawks’s original Scarface movie. Being a fan of the gangster film, I was interested to see what similarities and differences the two versions shared or differed, such as the main character, influenced eras, and outlook on gangsters.
The first comparisons between mythology and the Disney film are ones pertaining to the nature of Hercules character. In both film and myth Hercules exemplifies the hero myth and goes through what is known as the Hero’s Journey. In both stories eventually Hercules becomes a hero. In the movie Hercules was born
Also there are other similarities, all three of the films were made to appear in the cold (probably to do with the fact that they were all shot in Canada) and utilized darker colors.
middle of paper ... ... truth. ****************EXTRACT: Kill Bill 2 scene 16-17 The scene where Beatrix kills Bill **************** I think Tarantinos style changes slightly as he uses more special effects and dramatic settings. The gore is much more extravigant and he can afford some special appearences like the 5,6,7,8s playing in kill bill vol.1.
The two other female characters are not mentioned until much later in the story, after Marlow has arrived at the Inner Station. When Marlow reaches this point in his tale, he jumps ahead and tells a little bit about The Intended, Kurtz’s fianceé who was to marry Kurtz when he returned. The Intended woman does not appear until the very end of the novelette, in which Marlow visits her and lies to her about Kurtz’s dying words. The Intended had a more significant role in the story than Marlow’s aunt; however, her role as a whole was somewhat limited and did not affect the main theme of the story.
As suggested by the title, the main plotline of Tarantino’s film revolves around killing Bill; despite the bluntness of the title, the movie goes beyond merely focusing on this one event. The nameless main character, given the titles of “the bride” and “Black Mamba,” narrates the story, guiding the audience from her past experiences and background knowledge, through her present actions. The plot begins with the murder of the main character at her most important time of her life: her wedding day. Her previous ties with the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad and its leader, Bill, catch up with her when she decides to escape her past and start a new life. However, on that bloody wedding, she is the only one to survive, remaining in a coma for four years. After waking up and realizing the brutal events on her wedding day, she later realizes that something more important than her structured life was taken from her: her unborn baby...
