Similarities that exist between Katniss and Prometheus is that they are both brave, smart, intelligent, have good thinking way, and they both want to help people. Why i think that they are both like all of these things is by the way they act. Why I think they are both brave is because they aren't scared to stand up for what they believe in. They are fearless. They are smart and intelligent because they know that there is people suffering and are cold and starving and they want to help them. They are smart for thinking all of this because it's true. He knew that these people needed a fire to keep them warm and to cook food just like katiness knows she needs one to stay warm and fix her food. They also know how they could live if they were in
Here are the flashbacks and foreshadowing. One of the similarities is they both had to do with animals and their parents telling them something. The other is that they have flashbacks of animals. Those are the similarities with flashbacks and foreshadowing.
In Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury, Guy Montag is a firefighter who burns illegal owned books, but later on begins to question his profession and an in turn, his life causing him to question the government's actions. The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins tells the story of Katniss Everdeen, and how her life changes when her little sister is reaped into the games, but she volunteers for her and unknowingly rebels against the government. Even though Katniss and Montag both defy their governments in different ways, they both have a negative view on the higher power.
In both books they share some traits, even though they may not look anything alike they are. both of these novels are dystopian novels and many characters share similarity’s.
Some similarities are obviously that they are both slaves who are trying to escape their misery. The characters also have a good relationship with their fathers because they taught them how to care for themselves and what to do when they need
‘The Odyssey’ by Homer, ‘The Aeneid’ by Virgil and ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ by Harper Lee were written in different eras, were produced for different audiences and contain heroes which displayed different beliefs. Though produced in different time periods, the narratives share some striking similarities and resemblances. They focus on male heroes, typically who are (in some way) more inclined compared to the ‘average mortal’. Atticus is very intelligent, Aeneas is a great leader and Odysseus is remarkably courageous; all three narratives deal with the trials, challenges and achievements of the hero.
For example Kate and Kat were similar as their both independent and intelligent individuals who go by their own morals and don't care what anyone else thinks of them. Bianca in both texts is seen as the object of desire' as of her submissive manner and good looks. I used similarities like these ones all throughout 10 things' with only making minor changes.
Both the poems of Hesiod’s tell of the curse of Pandora and both have Prometheus as the main character. Prometheus in both is the cause of why Zeus inflicted
Equality invented something that no ones ever seen before. He built something to make a difference in society and to brighten the world, light. Light is what he invented and it was a miracle when it worked. Another similarity between Equality and Prometheus was their sacrifices for their values. No matter what circumstances they both went through, they stuck with it and did not give up because they believed that they could make a difference in society. They did not want to give up because it was something that they believed they could do to make the world a better place for themselves and others. All though Prometheus was punished by Zeus for all time. Equality knew that if he was discovered he would be punished for what he invented but he didn’t care if he got punished or not. When Equality brought his invention to the C...
Both characters from the novels Prometheus and Victor Frankenstein were similar because they were both intelligent. Victor loved science, he sued to go on journeys to seek more information about life and death, because at home he had nobody to teach him.” My father was not scientific, and I was left to struggle with a child's blindness, added to a student's thirst for knowledge. (Victor Frankenstein quotes on education). And he even studied abroad to see more knowledge on his favorite subject. This created major conflicts with his professor at the university but also admiration among professors and peers.
Over the past few years, there has been various books, films, and even songs about influential, heroic, women throughout the world. Some of the most recent heroic female figures include the fictional character “Hermione Granger” from the novel Harry Potter by J. K Rowling. Another strong female figure includes “Katniss Everdeen” from the novel The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins. The two heroic women certainly share their differences. Hermoine was described as a bookworm who could be a tad bossy at times. Katniss was athletically inclined, however, lacked certain communication skills with people. Although Hermoine and Katniss have their distinct differences,
In the legend of Perseus and in Percy Jackson they both have the same plot type. They talk abou many of the same topics. Even in the modern re-telling they are similar.
Throughout time humans have struggled with the unknown, with the fear that once life is over nothing remains, that the only thing awaiting them is oblivion. To combat these fears we create various religions, belief systems, and faiths to reassure ourselves that we are not shouting into the void, that something will come out of our existence. Prime examples of these belief systems are Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism which emphasize a spiritual world. In dystopian novels, characters are often placed in situations without faith or religion such as The Giver by Lois Lowry, and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, the removal of faith forces characters to rely solely on themselves and helps depict the hopelessness in their world. The erasure of faith leads one to believe that it is a selling point of our society and should be kept intact, which is why Octavia Butler’s use of religion is odd in the genre. In Butler’s novel Parable of the Sower the narrator Lauren Oya Olamina creates a new religion called Earthseed and aims to offer her society hope for the future while they suffer the corruption and disintegration of the only world they know. Parable of the Sower states the function of religion, and specifically Earthseed, is to unite people in a single hope as the world goes to hell.
They both take place in a dark and futuristic world and have a leader or leaders that they must follow and if not, there must be extreme consequences...even death. As Equality and Liberty fall in love, so do Katniss and Peeta. In my opinion, a dystopian society is a lot like our world today, just at a more drastic level. Dystopian literature is basically giving us advice through another teenagers perspective. It is an indirect form of advice that could be anything to with love, conflicts with other people, or even things like school. We learn a lot about oppression in both of these stories which causes us to really think about it and makes us look into the future to see what it will be like in reality.
While Greek gods are more human like but even though they are different in looks they are similar in prospect! For example Egyptians have a god named Re who is the sun god and creator of man and Zeus is the god of thunder and lighting though he is not the creator of man he is ruler of man. Also Kings or heroes in Egyptian myths are called Pharos though in Greek myths they are referred to as Demi-gods. These beings are often the sons of the creators of gods. Another similarity that is held between the two myths are the goddesses isis and Demeter. Isis is one of the main gods in Egyptian myths same for Demeter in Greek myths. They are similar because they both symbolize how the give life to both the heavens and the
Both of them risked their lives for loved ones. They also had basically wars in the games it is Capitol vs Districts and in Romeo and Juliet it is Montague - Capulet feud. They both are star - crossed lovers. In both books and movies there were many deaths. I didn’t really see any comparison between The Hunger Games and Romeo and Juliet before but then I found many things that are similar. The things I would change would be that there was a lot of deaths so I would shorten the amount of deaths. I felt that Peeta has done a lot of things for Katniss so she should repay Peeta of the kind deeds he has done. I didn’t really like how he joined hands with the Careers even though he was saving Katniss he should have thought of something else to protect Katniss. Even though I want Katniss and Peeta to survive and win the game I think it was unfair that only on district can win. I thought that if it was 2 different people it would have been fair to the people who was fighting on their own since their partner already died. The book would have been better if Peeta told Katniss how he felt the moment he realized he loved
