The Affairs of McCarthy and the Trials


There are many affairs throughout history, but this is one of the most important affairs in history ever is the McCarthy and witch trials . These I would have to say are very important not just in how we used to act. It has made us look back and think how uncivilized we were. We still have the same old ideas we had, but some we have gotten rid of and I don't think we should go back. They are witchcraft and mccarthyism, the two most thought to be evil practices ever in history.
History is made up of these crazy events that have made history what it is today. Witch trials seems evil and dark, but it set an example for modern people to look back on and think how can people make themselves better from previous mistakes our ancestors have made.

They also talked to a lot of people, but both Hale and McCarthy both didn’t let their prosecuted suspects even prove that they are innocent before guilty. They both just made people guilty until proven innocent, which is totally opposite of what it is today. McCarthy, if Hale was real and a nonfictional character, he would be the reincarnation of Reverend hale. Two different stories, but they share two main points; corruption and lies.
This could be also said for John Proctor and Hoover because they both wanted their ways to be followed and to be used. So when people like reverend hale steps in and tells them otherwise, then that's when the grudges and evil feelings for others come out. This is also why in the “Crucible”, John hides his affair of his and Abigail's from his wife.
