home Pat ends up living with his parents. He continuously thinks about rebuilding his life and reuniting with his wife, but his parents would rather he enjoy their shared love for the Philadelphia Eagles. Along the way his wedding song continues to haunt him every time he hears it and he is trying to learn how to ignore it. Things get complicated when Pat meets Tiffany, who offers to help him reconnect with his wife, if he will help her with a favor also. As time went by Pat realized he had to get over his old fears to find his silver lining to having a great life. Pat is humble also smart, but it took time for him to get his self and his love life together. When Pat was released from the mental institution the only thing that was on his mind was reuniting with Nikki his ex-wife. It didn’t matter that she had an affair and that Pat nearly beat her partner to death. He wanted to leave everything in past so him and Nikki could become closer than before, but he learned she wasn’t the key to his happiness. Pat was being hard on his self because his wife Nikki put out a restraining order on him, but he wanted to let her know how he felt regardless of the restraining order. Pat was working out and reading books that Nikki wrote; Pat was doing everything he thought would bring her back because he still had faith in their marriage. As an result, this showed that Pat was a strong lover because no matter what happened in the past he still loved Nikki. It took Pat a while to realize that thinking of Nikki would only make things harder for him in life. His mind was going in one direction and his heart was going in another. Losing Nikki held a big impact on Pat. He flipped out on his parents over his wedding movie and he constantly talked about Nikki and their wedding song which continued tp haunt his mind. I took Pat time to slowly slowly managed to release his past thoughts of Nikki so he could move on. As Pat’s chaotic life continues things start to brighten up. While Pat is on one of his daily jogs he runs into his old friend Ronnie and he invites Pat to dinner. Pat ends up meeting Veronica’s beautiful sister Tiffany at dinner and they develop a weird relationship as the night goes by. Robert Ebert mentions that,” Tiffany is all edges and elbows, she can understand Pat because she's crazy herself.” Pat walks Tiffany home and they held an odd conversation, which slightly bothered Pat. He couldn’t seem to understand why Tiffany acted the way she did, but he wanted to find out. Each day Pat would go jogging him and Tiffany ran into each other and they became closer, but Pat didn’t want to admit that tiffany was the key to his happiness. Pat felt like he could communicate with Nikki through Tiffany so he took a chance and asked. Tiffany noticed that Pat was still in love with Nikki so she offered to give Nikki the letter, but only if Pat was willing to be her dance partner at the competition. Tiffany is also going through a lot because of the death of her husband, and the loss of her job. Tiffany secretly loves Pat, but she lets him find out for himself. Robert Ebert comments that,”Tiffany is pissed off with Pat because he continues to obsess about his ex-wife.” During dance practice Tiffany gave Pat Nikki’s reply to the letter in which she gives Pat a clue that there may be a chance of reconciliation between them. Pat Sr.
the Crazed eagles fan also has a problem, he is one of the funny characters in this movie that I enjoy seeing. According to Robert Ebert, “He's harmlessly obsessed with the Eagles, gratefully in love with his wife and cluelessly supportive of his son, who he doesn't realize is an apple who has fallen very close to the tree.” Pat and his father are just alike even though they hate to admit it. Pat Sr. is out of work and he is depending on illegal book marking to earn money and open a family restaurant. Pat doesn’t agree with what his dad is doing, but he’s mainly worried about Nikki. Pat Sr. constantly tells Pat that he is a good luck charm but Pat doesn’t believe in all the superstitious beliefs like his dad. Pat Sr. has to have everything a certain way in order for the eagles to win each game. Pats father is banned from all eagles games for fighting too much, so he wants Pat to go to the eagle’s game for him, plus he believes it will help the eagles win. Everything starts off great, but Pat gets into a fight and misses out on practice with Tiffany. Pats father was furious because of Pats behavior and due to the fact that the eagles lost made it even worse. Pat Sr. lost all of his money and he blamed it on Pat, but it was really his fault. He made Pat attend the game, but if Pat would have been with Tiffany the eagles would have had a victory and pat wouldn’t have gotten into a brawl. Another bet is made the same day as the dance competition and if Tiffany and Pat score a 5 out of 10 the eagles will win. After the commotion Pat eventually realizes that Tiffany forged the letter from Nikki, but he doesn’t mention it until after the competition. After Tiffany and Pat perform they realize that they scored a 5 out 10, so everything worked out as planned. The eagles win, Pat Sr. wins the bet, and he is able to open his restaurant. Tiffany is beyond happy until she sees Pat talking to Nikki and she runs off. Pat Sr. let’s his son know that he loves him and that
Tiffany loves him and he better not mess it up. Robert Ebert mentions,” One of the ingenious and sort of brave accomplishments of Russell's screenplay is the way it requires both father and son to face and deal with their mental problems and against all odds finds way to do that through both an Eagles game and a dance contest.” Pat runs after Tiffany and finally admits that he knows that she forged the letter. He also admits that he is in love with her and that it was mistake to wait so long to tell her. Finally the two are happy together and they both remove their rings to represent a new beginning. Overall the movie Silver Linings Playbook is an amazing movie filled with comedy and heartwarming moments. It keeps the audience thinking about what’s going to happen next. All of the actors are brilliant in this movie together like they were meant to work together. Robert Ebert states,” With these actors, this velocity and the oblique economy of the dialogue, we realize we don't often see it done this well.” I agree with Robert, people don’t see many movies like this one, which makes it more interesting. The fact a little comedy was also in the movie keeps the crowd laughing while also wondering about Pat. I really enjoy the thrill of wondering if the eagles will win and if Pat and Tiffany will finally get together. Turns out Pat got everything he wanted love, a better life, and his family. As Robert Ebert stated, “Silver Linings Playbook" is so good, it could almost be a terrific old classic.” And I’m pretty sure it will!
In the movie, “On Golden Pond,” by Mark Rydell, all the significant characters were going through a crisis and they had to overcome the situation. These crisis were known as Erikson’s theory. Erikson’s theory was created largely on the belief that life is a continuous developmental process and that maturity is not the end of psychological growth. He believed that an individual have to resolve these crises in order to become healthy and able to get on the next crisis in the life cycle. However, some may be stuck in a stage and won’t be able to overcome the crisis.

Braddock aka “Cinderella Man,” gained popularity. James Braddock gained fame by winning many fights and proving everyone wrong when they said he was too old and couldn’t win.

Obsessive compulsive disorder was also displayed in this film portrayed by Pat’s dad, Pat Sr. Pat Sr. showed a true obsession with football by relying his income on illegal bookmaking. There many behaviors Pat Sr. engages in for “good luck” such as having a handkerchief with him at all times, lining the remotes a certain way, and wearing a Philadelphia Eagels jersey. The kid wanted an interview about having a mental disorder, but instead of graciously denying this request, Pat ran away and the camera filmed his back from a distance. This is the first occurrence where Pat was filmed running away, giving the audience insight into how his mental illness affects his daily life. In this scene, it is important to note that Pat was running alone with his back to the camera, facing away from his problems and fears. He continued to ignore his mental condition until he met a mysterious widow named Tiffany. Tiffany’s character helped Pat acknowledge his condition and made him confess that he hates his illness. Although their first few interactions led to Pat running away and Tiffany chasing after him, the visual motif of his character running away and the staging was still the same. Pat was filmed with his back to the camera and he was still not comfortable with “facing” his mental
I unwilllingly walked through the entrance of regret and guilt. With teary eyes from what happened the night before, I didn’t know what I could say. All I thought was ‘It was an accident’ but that didn’t matter anymore.

There are different kinds of relationships that at a young age, we were taught that if we find love, we will reach of happy ending. I support Atwood’s point-of-view of love, and happiness categorize couples into unusual scenarios: they both fall in love and have a happy life; only one loves the other and they are unhappy or a love triangle. Consequently, death is the result of any scenario.

The book, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins can be deciphered in many different ways. Emily Lem and Holly Hassle’s view on this story is how The Hunger Games defy the norm by breaking down gender-related barriers. They argue that, “Katniss capitalizes patriarchal values that privilege traditionally masculine qualities…” (Lem-Hassel 118). This perception is not entirely wrong, but it’s not the main theme of the book. Bill Clemente and Valerie Estelle Frankel argue that Panem is a political, cultural, and metaphorical parallel to our nation of America. Clemente states that The Hunger Games “reflect on the political dissatisfaction and economic hardship that inform contemporary society” (Clemente 20). Frankel joins
