He did not realize he was dying before, but now he could tell he was. He was lying silently, regretting his decision to join a gang and this very thought crossed his mind at the time. “If he died, he was Andy. He was not a Royal. He was simply Andy, and he was dead. Had the Guardians who knifed him ever known that he was Andy? Had they stabbed Andy, or stabbed only the jacket and the title? What good would the title be if you were Andy?” (Hunter, 3). The reason why this could be a theme is because this shows that people who have a poor image of other people are wrong about that person genuinely, that person has a life behind their image too.
