Can you imagine being a woman and working just as hard as men, but get paid $10,000 less than men. That would be completely unfair and would cause women to uprise in the work field. Men and women work equally as hard as each other, but people make blank and ignorant accusations that men work harder than women so they should get payed more. If women put firm the same effort as men working shouldn’t they get paid equally? I believe that America should change the way payment works. Men and women should be paid equally if they have the same amount of experience, same degree, and their career.
One important reason women should be paid equally is if they have the same experience that a man does. What is the point of experience in a career if you aren’t going to pay them more? Experience is important in a career because it shows how efficient you are going to be and the effort you are going to put to get things done. With experience it makes the person be more comfortable in the field and make the person be efficient in their work. Having the same amount of experience deserves equal pay for both genders. If a woman can do just as good as a job as a man or better then they deserve to get paid equally if not more. That is why experience benefits either way if you are a male or female.

Although we like to comfort ourselves with the idea that we have gotten our rightfully earned rights, we had not been given bathroom breaks until 1998. Furthermore, employees are still afraid to have a voice in the workforce. Employers establish rules that let laborers know that they are inferior.
Men get paid higher than women although in most cases women are more educated than men. There needs to be equality. A.Problem: Despite these educational gains, women continue to lag behind men in employment, income, business ownership, research and politics. This pattern of inequality suggests that societal expectations and cultural norms regarding the appropriate roles for men and women as well as inherent biological differences between the sexes are limiting the benefits of women’s educational advantage.
Satya Nadella once said, “We must ensure not only that everyone receives equal pay for equal work, but that they have the opportunity to do equal work.” It was found that women only earn seventy-nine percent of what men make in similar jobs. The gender pay gap has been in account for over fifty years, and yet it is still an issue today. Although businesses are required to practice fairness in compensation amongst all employees regardless of gender, age, or race this is not always the case. Businesses need to instill stricter policies against unequal pay to eliminate racial discrimination, reward and recognize performance and experience, and do away with the gender gap.
The typical occupations you expect women to be in are like nursing and social work. Women tend to do jobs more that have something to do with the nurture sense that they better handle than men do. Not to say that there aren’t women who are CEO’s and other high positions in the different field that men tend to be leaders in. Men tend to make more than women because men are supposed to be the breadwinners in the family. The reason for that is because men tend not to have as much as issues that women do. Women usually tend to family issues over work ones. They also have more reason to take time to heal because they tend to have more female issues that bother them. For example women get maternity leave when they are about to have a baby. They miss about 5 months of work. They take so much time that men who start at the same time as them have a high chance of actually promoting in positions and meeting new people. Men just get more experience out of job than women do. Then again there are a lot of cases where the women even with less experience still have high wages than certain men. The most common case is that if you put two people at the same job just the different genders. Then man tends to make more than the women does. This big gap is because men are just considered to be more of people that are reliant in the ideal case and also men are the people you want working for you

Biggs wrote in “The 77 Cents on the Dollar Myth About Women’s Pay” , that the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that single women who have never married earned 96 percent of men’s earnings in 2012. “The supposed gap appears when marriage and children enter the picture. Child care takes mothers out of the labor market, so when they return, they have less work experience than similarly-aged males” (Duke 2). For many years in United States, equal salary pay for women has been a major issue that women have been fighting for decades. This began back in World War II, when the National Labor Board urged equalize the salary rates for women with the same rates that males were getting of the same professions. (Rowen) Although, traditionally most women do not work to provide for there family and there are not so many independent women during World War II. After World War II more women lost their jobs to veterans returning to the workforce. Women in the workforce after the war have been discriminated ever since. It should not be based on sex, however, but on the type of work and skills that the workers have. Some women may choose to be stay-at-home moms and not carry another job, but being a mother is a job itself when you are taking care of young children. Overall, we need to take into account how women sometimes may not be appreciated as they want to be.
Women without a doubt do deserve equal pay. The gender pay gap may only last for a couple more years or maybe the wage gap may always exist. However that doesn’t make it right. Women go through their daily lives hearing the many excuses society throws at them. Men matter more, they need the money more, their more qualified, and so on. Nevertheless, none of that is true; women have proved to be independent hard working females who are depended on just as much as men. They have the same responsibilities to uphold and are just as qualified to perform at a man’s level. This wage gap has gone on for long enough and it is a women right as a citizen to be looked upon as an equal. Every women matters, every dollar matters, the wage gap matters.
It can be heard anywhere that there is a sizeable wage gap and that women make much less than men simply because of the fact they are women. Once again, people may claim that it is merely an illusion that America is a wonderful equalizer, since equal places wouldn't pay their women 76 cents for every dollar a male employee earns. I believe that there are many flaws in that thinking as many things are often overlooked. Women, can in fact, not do everything men can do. God created us differently for a reason and when that is tinkered with, God's original plan is discredited.
It is very important to be concerned about the issue because it is constantly increasing throughout the United States. It upsets me that women are paid less than men because women have the same ability and work ethic as men do, but they are looked at differently. According to AAUW, women make 77 percent of what men make. This rate hasn’t changed since 2002 (Hill, 2013). Statistics show that women will never make as much as men due to the thought of never being comparable to men (Williams, 2013).
Doesn’t that get you mad? Why do we have to be paid differently than men when we can do everything they can do? Lots of men say that women don’t work hard enough compared to men. I would like to contradict. Women are strong and just as equivalent to men, so we shouldn’t have such immense differences in things like our income.
