Scientists have been working on space travel for decades and Mars is the most logical first step toward humans being an interplanetary species. We don't just need one nation to be selfish and spread itself to other planets no this needs to be and experience for the world. There are several reasons to go to other planets and mars is just the tip of that iceberg. We need to go to Mars in case of a catastrophic event, overpopulation, and it has a lot of resources, for scientific development.
One, reason we should colonize Mars is in case of some doomsday event, armageddon, apocalypse, or ragnarok. Throughout all human history there have been numeral predictions on how the world will end be it mythology/religion or scientology it has been predicted. Even the famous stephen Hawking has said so in fact he made a list. There are several things pointing to doomsday so how do we escape it? The easiest option, go to another planet, and Mars is perfect for the job. Mars is close to earth so it would be easier to get their, and it also has enough space so we could get a lengthy amount of people there. “The late theoretical physicist said on several occasions that humans need to find a new home, as Earth has shown that it is entering its final phase.” he also said “I don’t think we will survive another 1,000 years without escaping

If the earth is to ever get over populated where would we go? The galaxy of course we could have several cities on different planets through the milky way galaxy. Though we would need somewhere to start a stepping stone and our planetary neighbor is perfect for that position. There are 7.6 billion people on the planet and it growing at a staggering rate. What humans have already done to earth is bad but if we overpopulate than it'll just be worst. To save the planet and the human species we should spread between the planets and eventually the
continue to be one for many more. However, the Earth can not sustain us forever. This is
Why We Should go to Mars “It was obvious to me that we could never colonize Mars without reusability, any more than America would have been colonized if they had to burn the ships after every trip,”(Dave, 2017). This is what Elon Musk said in an interview in Fortune Magazine on December 9th 2013. The fourth planet in our solar system, Mars, is the closest “Earth-like” planet, Which is why SpaceX, NASA, and many other organizations are trying to make a human trip to Mars possible, as well as learning many things about Mars and Earth at the same time. Mars has a lot of potential to be a habitable planet to continue the human race.
The best argument for exploring and colonizing on Mars can be summed up in one colloquial phrase, “don’t put all of your eggs into one basket.” To elaborate, all of humanity is on Earth. Earth is enormous, but it is still just one place. A medium-sized earthquake in Japan was enough to cause millions of dollars in damage and end thousands of lives. And when Mt. Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD, the ash clouds blocking out the sun all around the entire planet for weeks.
One of the qualities of the human race is that humans love to explore and find new things, like how Christopher Columbus found America. With most of our planet documented now, where do we have to go? The answer is simply one of the only places we haven’t yet (or may never) explore all of: space. Wars may be waged over land on earth, as there isn’t any new land to find there. So, we can go into space where unexplored land can be conquered and colonized. And while it may not seem like it, in the near future, it may be possible to colonize humans in space.
However, humans don't necessarily have to live in a planet. The Moon is a highly reliable place to live on, as scientists at NASA have found nearly 10 billion tons of water on it. It is also fairly close to Earth; it only takes about 48 hours to reach the Moon. In addition, it has the same it is roughly the same distance from the Sun as the Earth. In fact, this is such a reliable place to inhabit, Russia plans to launch a moon colonization program in the year 2030. I think we can all look forward to this, but there are many flaws on the moon. Firstly, there is no atmosphere, so there are solar flares, which can wipe out an entire earth-scaled city. Secondly, there is no weather on the moon, and that could mean that there would be no agriculture, which means that there would be no renewable foods. If these conditions lead to the stop of the Russian Moon Colonization Program, then another alternative might be
...egular people, believing that if someone was to go to Mars they might have been able to survive A variety of organic compounds present may mean a life is probable. Also, if the trip to Mars in 2023 turns out to be a positive one, then it will prove to everyone that in the future more and more people will move to this other planet. A lot of people will find it unnecessary to stay on Earth if they can start a new life somewhere else in the galaxy. Even though the trip will have America paying billions and billions of dollars, it truly is worth it. A life on Mars could mean living to an older age and being healthier. The point of going to the Red Planet is to find out if there is a better life somewhere other than on Earth. Just like NASA astronaut, Buzz Aldrin said, humans will most likely reach Mars and when they do humans will turn into a two-planet species.
With all the problems we have on earth and how much we don’t know about our own planet we shouldn’t be colonizing others. We may have the science but we don’t have the funds. We also have tons of willing people but not enough physically and mentally able to colonize a planet. Children are starving all around the world, People are homeless, and wars are starting. Humankind needs to achieve some sort of world peace before trying to explore space. Also, humans will end up destroying life if we try to colonize an
Not only that, but our population has been growing at an extremely alarming rate. At our current rate, our species may not be able to survive for much longer. This is where space exploration comes in. With the recent discovery of water on Mars, and the finding of Kepler-78b, it is possible that mankind can prolong our existence. The possibility of interstellar travel seems to be an option, or even a necessity, if we wish to continue living.
History is going to bifurcate along two directions: One path is we stay on Earth forever, and then there will be some eventual extinction event. The alternative is to become a space-faring civilization and a multi-planet species, which I hope you agree that is the right way to go. Yes?
This will be necessary in order to make sure the human race survives. There are many threats to the existence of humankind right here on Earth. There are many people and professionals in the scientific community who acknowledge this and urge for humans to find a new home before these threats become too imminent. “Hawking believes humans will eventually be doomed if they remain on Earth” (Article 1). There are issues that affect the Earth as a whole, such as global warming, which could kill off humans and a lot more other species.
Why, you ask? Earth’s resources are running out and we will run out of space on Earth, eventually. Even the famous scientist, Stephen Hawking says,” if we want our species to survive, we need to colonize other planets, because we are going to run out of space and resources here on earth.” And by the time that people say,”let’s go to Mars now…”, it will be too late. Either the space programs doesn’t have enough
As the future proceeds and life begins getting more technical, Earth may not be the only place where the human race resides. There is already talk that some day Mars will be inhabited by humans. Jupiters moon Europa may be the next after that. Two space missions have already studied Mars. The Pathfinder, which landed on the surface of Mars was one of the missions, and the Global Surveyor, which is a satellite, is the other mission. Although Europa has no set missions yet, The Galileo Spacecraft has passed within 364 miles of the moon Europa and has taken images that have given scientist a good look at the surface ("Oceans on Europa" Internet).
Either they could live in underground caverns carved out by lava hundreds of millions of years in the past, or they could terraform Mars, or in other words, alter the environment so we humans can safely roam about without needing a pressurized space suit for oxygen or the fear of being bombarded by harsh ultraviolet radiation. To do this, they would first need to crash an asteroid into Mars, preferably the North or South pole, thus warming Mars up a bit and thickening the atmosphere. Then they would need to transport massive amounts of plants and water to Mars, a process that would take several hundreds of thousands of years. But by doing this, you would allow billions of people to settle on the Red Planet, creating more room back on Earth and fixing the problem of overpopulation for probably several centuries. Mars could also be a new tourist destination for people who always wanted to go there for
